  1. You have my address mate you don't need to use wrapping paper a bow will do GLWTS Should have gone by now for that money!!!
  2. Did mine the other day - they can be tight! My engine is out so easy for me You don't want remove the rad - you would need to de-gas the air con to take it out completley and get in that way.
  3. Is the engine still in the front and the gearbox behind it on your Zed??? Just checking mate
  4. Made a little more progress this weekend, We only did Saturday afternoon as waltzinblack was down Sunday and another slight delay .... read on. So around Saturday lunchtime this character made an appearance!!! Who assisted in the pushing out of my somewhat naked Zed After that things got better Buster grabbed a brush ..... not saying he did anything except grab a brush As soon as the Zedshed was clean I went to make the coffee and this happened - He just can't keep the Ginger Ninja out of this place Then some fun - we got to play with the engines, moved most parts from the old engine to the new- Buster snapping more bolts I did some of it honest!! I'll leave you with this nothing to do with the build it's just a good representation of my garden at a weekend That's all folks .............
  5. I'm with you Sam but mine DID hit the floor its physical damage more than anything else - I'll find a piece and get it welded in - can't do it myself as it's stainless
  6. Ian - please don't post porn this early on a Monday morning!!!! Cosworth Plenum Mmmmmmmmmmm
  7. That is a 1978 Datsun 260Z and had I noticed page 2 I would have seen bronzee had already answered that question.
  8. That picture is off the front left hand corner of the plenum as you look at it - the pipe connects to the lower plenum - can fid out where the other end goes if you like but I think it goes to the vacum line that runs with the petrol feed pipe - would need to double check that last bit to be sure. Hope that helps.
  9. Cool good to see your happy mate Anders the Hel lines fit well we reused one OEM holder and the 2 (1 each side) new ones that came with the kit on the front- tidy install the rears are just a straight swap. We did the run in as per the guide on here on a quite "A" road I know (could heve been quiter though lol) Yes 4 jacks in the Zedshed now mate - no one went underneath so no axel stands used. 2 pairs of saftey glasses in the tool box - me and Buster wear them regularly along with gloves and ear defenders - what guests do is up to them However you have a Very young guy in a 300HP car changing his entire break system guided by a network engineer and assisted by a hungover Buster with 100 mile plus journey home in the pouring rain and your worried about saftey glasses????!!!!!
  10. waltzinblack put down his airsoft weapons and dropped in at the Zedshed again today along with some new goody's for his Zed. Nice new shiny DBA disks all round matched with DS2500 pads and a set of Hel braided lines to finish it all. We wasted no time in sitting down drinking some coffee and having a good old chat about cars in general - then we thought we should push mine out and roll his in - Bob showed up late as he was hung over!! Got her airborne and then an hour trying to get the calliper off the first wheel! WiB then cleaned up the hubs Test fit the new disks - A quick????? clean of the Brembo's All done - Quick test drive and the usual bed in procedure seems to be working well. Hope you got home safely mate - how are the new brakes?
  11. Thats OK for a pressure sensor - temp needs to be in the flow! and TPI is threads per inch not pitch and you won' t do it with a ruler
  12. No you can't rethread it the only difference is the thread so if you try and re-thread it will probably just screw it up. No pun intended Sam is correct the tpi is different ( a few people say you will get away with it) - i.e use the sensor to rethread the hole as you tighten it up - Up to you. Next option is to drill it out to 1/4 then tap it and put a 1/4 to 1/8 reducing adapter in. An adapter like the one Sam shows will work but will also pull the sensor out of the oil flow - so may defeats the object of putting it into the plate and getting a true return flow reading. Good luck
  13. Very nice - can't belive you found them on eBay - thought someone else would have found em first
  14. About time Nice one Get it lowered now O well won't be getting them cheap now
  15. Yup nvidia dual on her at the moment I have Decats on at the moment and a set of Berks HFC waiting as an option We have a local sports shop that may be able to weld in a replacement .... yes its leaking Thanks guys
  16. Found a few bits that needed sorting out this week and started the strip down on the engine. Had a few bolts sheer on the way out - to be expected on a 2003 car really, A Vice and a lot of swearing later Gotta find someone that can repair this - See what happens when you lower your car!! Have done as much as I can on the car until next week as the Zedshed has a visitor on Sunday and mine will need to be pushed out. Onto the engine then - gearbox first I did think the clutch may just be starting to go More to follow, That's all folks.......................
