  4. I can't put it back together until its all clean and shiny now can I. You only want to see the Dyno so you know how much to spend on keeping up!
  5. More a NEW camera test than an update So I gave up with the cheap and nasty camera and bought a cheap camera instead (Due to the large number of complaints about picture quality - this is a build thread not a photography course (besides you cant see how bad my paint work is )) Any way as I've changed my mind about the colour the car will end up (think I have it sussed now but may change again) but these arrived today Obviously I was painting again but I just wanted to see if this camera was any better ....... Tomorrow I'm going to paint something in a different colour - after all variety is the spice of life! That's all folks .........................
  6. My Haltech from the USA made it in 3 days, but a set of plastic clips took 2 weeks from Newbury (50 miles).
  7. Hi all, I know there are some camera experts out there I bought a cheap £20 digital camera and its useless indoors! So anyone recommend a cheap £50ish digital camera for use in the garage - don't want to spend more than that as it will get hammered and the last one ended up in a puddle! Nothing complicated just point and shoot with auto flash. Thanks
  8. Still at the painting and practicing with the new camera - think I have the settings a bit better now Then this happens ??? But this was OK Hmmm cheap camera I guess - Nearly finished painting now That's all folks .......................
  9. +1 They look cheap on, when up close IMO
  10. Evening all........ First job today was to go and buy a new camera It's first job was to show the remnants of yesterdays debacle ...... The broken camera for the non believers The carpet The shirt I was wearing at the time The scrub brush used to try and remove the paint !!!! However progress was made today Finished the second coat of black on this lot Added a bit of red to some choice parts Sorry about the focus and pic quality Its a new camera I'm not used to it and it may not get any better it was only £20. That's all folks ...........................
  11. Thanks' for all the advice, links etc Decision finally made Brakes now ordered I went for a nice new pair of D2's in the end - Will report back on fitting and performance when I get there
  12. OMG What a night - so for any one that thinking it's all going smoothly allow me to pass on tonight's fun in the Zed shed. Off I go coffee, camera and keys in hand out the front door trip coffee gone - the camera fly's out of my hand but has a nice soft landing in 3 inches of water (6cm approx to keep the metric brigade happy). Back in the house dry the camera - no chance that's dead (Muppet) Another coffee try again, got all the way to the shed without incident this time Sort out the bits to second coat etc. Mix the paint - usual thing get my mixing jug put enough paint for the evenings spraying add the correct amount of thinners mix it well and pour it through a filter into the spray gun. Lids back on cans etc then airline the parts of (for dust) clip the air hose on to the spray gun pick it up .............................. and cover myself from head to toe in black paint ................the lid wasn't on properly!!! Only good thing is you don't get to see any pics of my nights ineptitude as the cameras broken So after an hour in the shower with a scrub brush no updates tonight.
