That is higher boost for me - I was only running 7 psi before we may even have to drop maximum boost to around 5psi due to the high compression, however with the water meth hopefully we can stay the same and still see some big numbers. Getting close to finding out now - will be talking dates with the tuner today and unfortunately the tyre suppliers.

Got a bit done this weekend - had Mctwist down on Saturday to do a service on his Zed and then Bob popped the Ginger Ninja in to replace some bolts on the front bumper. I also had some stuff to sort around the house but I still managed to get the wiring moved on a stage - its getting complicated now! but got the NOS controller wired in and tested I also started the lower section of my centre console - Started with this The big hole is for the EDFC but I wasn't happy with it and it slipped inside once before So I happened to have an old LCD monitor laying around, I cut a bit out of the back of that like so looks about right Cut some holes and tapped it in place after the fibre glass was dry I added a bottom and side more fibre glass Stay tuned there's more ....................

Anjother visitor to the Zedshed "Mctwist" AKA Dan, (notice Bob in his normal supervisory role!) He dropped in Saturday morning to learn how to do a service Soon had Dan hard at work Did the plugs and then something more fun Engine and gearbox oil changed along with a tube of moly We are also interested in identifying these HFC's he thought they were Berks and they maybe but they don't look like mine. Any ideas anyone? Great to meet you Dan - had fun doing your car glad to hear the gearbox is smoother now

It's a complete unit with 1 x 10mm bolt holding it in (well mine is I took it out last week), as Neil says the trim is easy enough to take out just be careful in the cold weather as it goes brittle.

Would you believe this took two and a half hours!! Need some serious power in the back half of the car now as I have 2 heaters to run at 20 Amps each, a water pump at 10 Amps, a NOS controller, a water/meth injection controller, an array of gauges and of course a large number of neon lights So I thought it was easier just to add a new power feed into the mid section of the car and create my own little mini loom. So I made this and installed it through the bulkhead round the foot well behind the centre console past the gear stick and into the void two and a half hours bloody hours!! I also put some paint on my centre console I'll fit the gauges and get some pics up tomorrow for you That's all folks ...........................

+1 and that video prevents my from muting my sound too - so i have to listen to it all the way through - infuriating if i had it on full volume click on video - sound goes off - new tab opens and is closed before sound starts - IE8 - I upload a lot I won the Ipad get away its mine I tell ya

I "remodelled" my dash on a Cortina MK5 I had many years ago - new dials a huge graphic equaliser some extra gauges and lights that basically told me other lights were on (before the days of LED's) had those illuminated toggle switches and everything! Downside - It looked bloody awful and I had to hang a cloth over it at night as it was so bright I couldn't see out of the windscreen properly! I think my workmanship has improved - not sure about my taste though

If I get anywhere near the "real world" I may be able to comment knowledgably on this thread - until then all I can say is I have great fun on track in my 350 (but it does have a few mods) The hot hatches are quick but I still enjoy throwing the Zed around

Thats the same one I had. The progressive controller is excellent, you can set the start point, I had mine at about 1psi then the max flow at a higher psi, I had mine set at a much higher pressure than I was making as it was pumping plenty in for my little 1800. Are you planning to just run 1 jet or multiple? just as an example, my basic sc setup without intercooler made 173bhp, added the meth & a little tune with fuel trim & Ignition it made 209bhp, then with high flow exhaust, fmic & a further tune it made 238bhp & weighed in at 978kg Those are great figures - should give mine some nice numbers! But I think I'm a bit heavier Current plan is to run 1 jet - they now supply a newly designed jet with the kit so I'm hoping that is up to the job. I also have the NOS and SC bypass valve regulator pick up in and around the TB so I don't want to many more bits it will look like a sieve.

Best not go building any silly powered FI Zed's then !!!

Well, I will have an on/off button but given how easy meth is to get hold of and how cheap I will probably run it all the time - although the controler will be set to only bring it in at higher boost levels. A lot depends on inlet temps and what happens on the dyno ..... will let you know. edit : I have the AEM water/meth kit with a 1 gallon tank
