  3. Hello everyone well I'm new to this build thread thing but I thought it would be a really good idea to document the progress I make on my new N/A Zed For those of you that know me - welcome to Project Zeebra the start of yet another saga as what will start as a simple rebuild will no doubt turn into a major overhaul. Well some of you may have heard that Chilli Red was selling of some stock - well I bought it Thanks Sarah - great to meet you today me and Bob had fun even if my bank balance is still recovering But hey I can't say no to a bargain Assisted by my wing man and navigator Buster we headed up the M3 today to conduct our stealth mission, any of you remember the pickup truck in Fast and Furious? Our Version - and unloaded - What we got - • A Pair of LX wings • INGS Rear Bumper • FRP Rear Arch Extensions • Shine Auto S-Type Front Bumper • Dual Pod Replacement A Pillar • Pair of PIAA Wipers • Set of Brembo Goodridge braided lines • Set of Internal Drive Wheel Nuts • Pair of Carbon Fibre replacement A Pillars Not all of it is going on this project some will end up on Project ZeeBusiness The Plan is to take this - Little beauty put a new engine in and let the wife loose in her for a month! If she likes it then I will take it off the road and do a complete overhaul and set the Zed up how she wants - If she doesn't I'll probably give it a complete overhaul and set it up the way I like I'll be back ..................
  4. I do For the Mods pleas add this to the chat button - Warning !!! Entering 350z-UK Chat can seriously deplete your bank account!
  5. Safety in numbers - buy lots at least one will work You leave my New Zed alone I paid a reasonable amount for it didn't I ?
  6. O I see I tell you thats how to test it and you take it to work At least you know most of it is good. I have to say it - buy cheap - buy twice Hope you get it sorted mate
  7. Never - as long as you have a diesel pickup as a daily
  8. If its pick up the pieces then we will need a lot of help I'm going to say nothing till I find out what she does on the Dyno - YIKES!
  9. Another night in the shed Spent all last night blowing fuses and I could only think it was a broken relay, but I got the same results on 2 of them!!!??? Gave up in the end and got 2 new relays today put them in and everything worked again - so a. My wiring was good b. Don't trust the manufactures wiring! so started to tidy this lot up Mounted my new fuse box in the cubby with the NOS good place for a spark made the boot glow in the dark wired and plumbed in the NOS pulsoids cut into the fuel line and added a T piece for the fuel pulsoid feed So this weekend after another stealth mission with "find a bargain" Bob I will start to route this lot round the engine bay. My tuning date has been bumped a week by mutual agreement as he's busy and I have a lot to do and keep getting sidetracked (I blame Bob ) So she is in on the 19th now. That's all folks .................................
  10. You calling me a tight arse GTR boy??? Anyway stop sitting on the fence tell us what you really think!
  11. Hello and I may know of a Zed for you in about 4-6 weeks not a GT but has a big base speaker and the Brembo's was that shameless???
  12. I'm registering interest in some bits Christopher. Strut brace won't fit mine but the rest is cool - need to check if the centre support will fit under my car with the suspension set so low and I want the Fender reinforces. Don't be too quick with this as I have a large garage bill this month and I've acquired some other bits and just another (spare ?) Zed - Which you should but (cheap) and use as a product demo car

    OEM Front Bumper

don't pm him Ignore them two just PM me Thanks
  14. If a Stud breaks then yes it would need drilling out or removing However ...... AFAIK The top has 3 studs/bolts and the bottom has 2. Both the bottom "studs" are part of the old CAT so if they break you only need them repaired if you refit them, they are replaced with a nut and bolt when Berks go on. 2 of the top "studs" again are connected to the CAT so same applies. The third "stud" is part of the manifold end and is the one you really dont want a problem with, if it snaps then you would drill it out and replace with a nut and bolt. I have done 4 sets of Berks and the next one I have to cut and weld will be the first! They are a good fit mate

    smelling fuel

yes but his car is a "stud" Could just be a bit of un-burnt fuel going through on the first turnover - I had this though and found a fuel leak in the fuel pipe next to the zorst they get hot there and the rubber had gone hard and cracked. worth having a look under to be sure.
  16. Hi everyone Time for a long overdue update - It's not that I (or Bob) have been idly sitting by or anything it's just all the work is - well not a photo op We did have to nip out and buy another Zed this week though - it was cheaper than the Haines manual and a great reference to see where all the bits go Been sorting the wiring mostly so my dash is getting mad with all the cables for the new dials etc got the water/meth feed in from the pump through the car and into the engine bay installed the NOS pulsoid's as well put a T piece in for the NOS pressure gauge and I've just started working out the location for the power steering radiator That's all folks ........................................
