    AGE

What was the question - took me 30 mins to find me glasses and now I've forgotten. Average age you say???? Well some of us must be 0ver it or it would not be an average I'm with Ebized - "experienced owners"
  7. Well Hi and welcome to our lovely forum. Not much to say after an intro like that you articulate yourself so well and I feel we have a lot in common (maybe????). If you have any more questions please feel free to ask or use the search button.
  8. Another short one to keep you up to speed as the deadline gets even close Changed the new Wideband sensors back to the OEM ones as the car is flooding badly with the stock ECU and oversized injectors and no sensor readings for it to even try to cut back with! Changed the plugs as well as this set were soaked : That got her started again Sorted some more wires and neatened things up in the engine bay and then ..... Anyone heard of a Rare JDM Harness cover? Well after tonight they are even rarer Marked it up and took a dremel to it But it fits now That's all folks ....................
  9. Hello and GLWTS and good luck with the hunt
  10. Evening all - just a quicky Did this Wideband sensors in! now the car won't start keeps flooding OMG Put the new braided lines in and fed a link into the cabin for the Haltech Engine bay has a few more bits in I should give a shout out here to my long suffering wife who hand painted the APS logo on the plenum That's all folks .....................................
  11. Went to a good home mate Hunting me down ???? Elmer Fudd v Bugs Bunny
  12. It was a special ECU "matched perfect and staggered special" Nice figures mate bring on the NOS
  13. Actually that's about right Jim, If I don't know how it works and I can't find it on the forum I wait until Bob comes round we then have a discussion (bitchin match) about how we both think it works and therefore how you disassemble/undo/modify it. We then attempt to remove it if I'm right and it works the way I thought I gloat about how much better than Bob I am...................... If I'm wrong I blame Bob for not knowing/telling me. If however I'm wrong and it breaks Bob gets it in the neck (it's ALWAYS HIS fault) and Zmanalex/Tarmac/CS get a PM My background in cars - I grew up on a farm so have been driving cars/tractors/JCB's/motorbikes since about 10 and taking them apart since about the same age (I started putting them back together around 14 haha) I did a 2 year apprenticeship as a mechanic when I left school. That of course was over 20 years ago When I got laid of from the garage I joined HM Forces and did a Btec in electronics and just played around with cars here and there. Anyone who knows which end of a screwdriver to hold can do what I have done on here I'm a self taught welder wiring I do know from the Army, Most parts come with instructions and Google will find someone somewhere who has done something almost identical before The rest is down to one of a few things either 1. The Balls to try 2. Too stupid to realise you don't have the skills to do it and blag the difference 3. The blind belief that if he can do it so can I I'll let you decide which one applies to me Don't let Bob know him and his good lady are part of the family now
  14. ...... from Bob O come on Jim don't be so modest a lot of members know that you are the goto guy without all your help and advice I would probably still be trying to work out how the wheels come of!!
  15. As one deadline approaches I'm getting worried about the next one Barring an unforeseen disaster we are well on track for the Tuners on the 19th if all goes well (fingers crossed) I should get her back for the 26th. If I do she will be back in the garage for strip down new body parts sand and re-spray and that has to be done by the 15th of April so the paint will be dry for a shakedown run on the 24th April Onto to tonight's progress - Got lots of spare wire - they have been left the length the manufacture supplied and coiled up next to the battery the problem is I have so many new wires I don't have space for the extra (an its extra weight ) Things like this have to go so cut this out solder them back together some heat shrink never know I was here Then onto this mod it was just to stop the drill when I put some new holes in the bulk head I then added a grommet thing and some protective pipe for the NOS and water meth feeds nice and neat sorted the wires for the new AEM wideband gauges and did the same with them put the "proper APS plenum on this time and got to here before dinner That's all folks ........................
