  7. Hope you don't mind Chris: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php ... s_id=25507 Not at all Jez just PM's Dblock and told him to PM you Great piece of kit - but I tested it on Bobs Zed just to be sure
  8. I dunno what you mean the car missed you Was getting a bit silly. When you coming by again ??????
  9. Hi all. Sorry Chris been busy on the SC Build Still haven't got this mounted and painted but we did a test fit and prep - It still needs bonding and painting though! I will get round to it and post some pics when I can! I can confirm it is was a good fit on my Zed and we did some very light trimming with a Stanley knife to get it spot on. Those are stone chips and cracks on my front bumper the last owner slammed the front into a speed bump
  10. So many things happening today Firstly new toys - These 2 bad boys arrived today Installed into the Zedshed - I got these to replace the 2 trolley jacks I have for 2 reasons 1. They aren't mine and the owner needs them back 2. They are bloody dangerous - well past the sell by date IMO Then this arrived - This is the uprev cable and Cipher software so I can do lots of things to a Zed including (in theory) loading an uprev map - not that I could do anything with it when it was there But it also reads JDM's handy as I now have one. I have never used the Cipher software but when Bob came by tonight I was more than happy to test ... errr demo it on his Zed! So I plugged into his car and we read the fault codes and cleared the 1 he had. Then we monitored his ECU inputs very cool - and I'm sure after I have read the manual they may even mean something Then Bob asked "Yes but what else can it do?" I said "I can change your idle rpm" "Go on then" so I took his idle rpm from 638rpm to 725rpm Bob liked that. Then I turned his coil packs off 1 at a time - Bob did not like that! I was just about to show him how I could change his ignition timing when he said something about having to let the dinner out and the dog was in the oven and then he left in a hurry ???????? I can try next time your round Bob!?? What else - O yes - the replacement block arrived at AME today - Dan has checked it over and given it the nod as good to go So a big thanks to ZmanAlex for sorting me a nice low mileage block and the engine build is back on. Meanwhile in the ZedShed This dried out so I sanded it down to a more sensible size and added some filler First test fit needs work on the shut line so back to sanding and I eventually got it to be a nice fit did a bit more on the rear bumper as I'm not completely happy yet. That's all folks .........................
  11. It has 3 colours and a crease in it - but I'll try harder next time So tempted to say the bits over the wheels They are fibre glass LX front wings mate, they weigh about the same as a postage stamp I like the vent in them. They also come without the badge holder
  12. Mine was £300 more but went down £20 when I added NOS - go figure
  13. Did a little more again tonight started by looking for the flaws in the back bumper - found quite a few Then I did the fibre glass reinforcement on the inside While that was drying I did this So I can test fit these bad boys Not Bad Now I know they fit I have a small repair job to do on the driver's side wing So I ground it back to good material and to thin it so I get a decent bond Then I stuck a piece of card on to act as a guide while the fibre glass dries stuck some fibre glass on and when it was just stiff enough I pulled the card off I will leave that to dry overnight and hopefully be able to rebuild the shape tomorrow night (fingers crossed) That's all folks ........................
  14. Well look what showed up today - As I had far to many Zeds on the drive and the 260 was just sitting there a friend of mine who's always wanted a 240 and has some time on his hands persuaded me he could give it a better home! He has sorted her out mechanically, replaced quite a few parts including the rusted out headlights rear brakes, brake pads, front spoiler. Also had to have a new rear wings welded in the other side was re checked he popped round today to say she has passed the MOT so he's going to finish the body work and then when he can afford it a full re-spray.
  15. I don't enough to comment at the moment - but the stock ECU knock control does not work above 5000 rpm (unless I'm mistaken) so this car was going to die anyway being driven that hard on regular unleaded!
  16. The engine those pistons came from was detonating itself to death. The car was running stock cats an aftermarket CAT back zorst and a JWT popcharger. It seems that it was tuned for power (I believe a company out Southampton way tuned it) it then seems it was run on standard unleaded and driven hard - to the point that it died and I bought it with the blown engine. The best ECU IMO is a full replacement (depending on what you're doing with the car) but they are big bucks - for my NA I will go UPREV for the SC I have the Haltech, I wanted the extra functions to allow for the NOS and water Meth - only time will tell if was the right choice!
  17. Haltech Pro on aq stock 350z Tuned for max BHP did this Haven't got the dyno sheet - So get it tuned right if your going that way
