  1. I only posted this at it make 1000 posts on this thread What's really mad is - its not finished yet
  2. Yes mate they kick out some heat - like a sauna in there it is Thanks mate but I'm only parking near you if you keep your bonnet shut!!!!!
  3. Bob had left before i took it off He will know when he reads this I belive it to be a Mastergrade CF roof overlay, dunno what I'm doing with it - but it is NOT in perfect condition - I can get some pics if your intrested?
  4. So while Bob was round we stripped the doors down - me doing all the work while Bob takes pictures The ladies helping more bits for paint and then problem for the day tried my new carbon pillars - boy they look BAD it's not the pillars it's the Carbon roof this is the front on the driver's side this is the back so it's not square and true however the other side - front and back is square and true so its either back to front or not a very good fit - add to this that I have never really liked the carbon roof as it doesn't fit perfectly, it "bubbles" in the middle and the edges make it look very "aftermarket" and stuck on. So ............................... I got radical So that's changed the plans again not sure on what I'm going to do either a wrap or paint .... still thinking about it. That's all folks ................................
  5. one problem with a complete colour change is how much you have to take apart to paint it! Like the wing mirrors! How to do this - remove the glass by popping the 2 clips from underneath then remove the glass mount remove the screws from the bottom and behind the mount then take this out pop the 2 plugs off you get to here now pull the motor out cut these 2 wirers (its easier) pull the pins out of the 2 plates now pull the wires out ONE AT A TIME (they will fit) through the hole in the motor remember where these go !!! more coming ...........................
  6. Busy day or 2 I decided more heat was needed to get my paint better These 2, a new more expensive gun and a change in thinners and results have improved so a bit of filler on here and the first coat of primer First job today was to tidy the ZedShed and then with the assistance of Bob we got this and these off the car and into the ZedShed So she looks like this now there's more ....................
  7. nice even pressure both sides
  8. Hope I'm not boring you lot to much with the body work - Not much else happening at the moment. First coat of primer/filler on this was dry and this needs work next First had to remove all the glue and sticky nastiness that has held a few number plates on then onto the front edge - this has taken some stick (anyone who's been to the ZedShed and seen my road knows why) and I run low! I also have a small split in the top edge So out with the fibreglass for some new strength last thing tonight I flat the side skirt down and another coat of primer In other news My new 95.5mm Cosworth (standard size) pistons are not going to cut the mustard with the new block as we need to hone it a few thou - this will mean the pistons are out tolerance. So they go back and a new set of 11:1 Cosworth 96mm pistons are on the way Hope the engine build gets underway soon That's all folks ...........................
  9. Nice work guys Thanks
  10. We like visitors, drop me a pm when you fancy dropping in
  11. Yup got heaters going in this weather, think I need a cooler thinner getting it on the fibreglass stuff, it's all a learning curve May rent a heat lamp as well.
  12. He's a gun man. O yes I am a gun man, nothing flash £30 from eBay I am having some problems though! I haven't sprayed in the 15 odd years and I'm suffering orange peel although this is to be expected when home spraying. I do have a another cunning plan to get the shine up though Time will tell .........
  13. Thought I'd better give you an update in case you thought I was slacking again!!! So I gave the rear bumper a coat of lacquer When the mist had settled it looked like this I Then turned my attention to the rear spoiler sanded all the old sticky stuff off then a good sand back with wet & dry some minor dents to sort out a spot of strategic masking made a custom built spoiler stand to spray it on and applied some more GREEN every now and then I can almost get a good finish Mean while I'm not sure how much more the wife is going to take as the guest bedroom is now the green room Stay tuned That's all folks ...........................
  14. HA HA Don't think so ... sorry
  15. Yes you can install all the bits - the ECU will not know they have changed so will use them how it uses the current ones - so it will probably run rich and may even flood! Depends how much bigger they are I suppose. So really you need them mapped in! I wouldn't run it far without a new map personally. Are they easy to fit - Fuel rails and injectors if it's a kit yes they are very easy . Pump - not so easy if it's the 255lph walbro you need to mod the holder - some pics on my thread (Project ZeeBusiness ) and Darren's of it being done - they usually come with instructions and any mechanic or someone reasonably handy with the tools will be fine - the return line is fiddly but easy enough. Hope that helps
  16. Hi all I have this spoiler for sale came off my Project Zebra Zed - The wife wants the sleek look so no rear spooler It is supposed to be a Gaunt but it has no labels or markings so it could be anything really! It is currently in kuro black. It has a small hole in it - see pics that needs filling although you can't see it when fitted. Asking £100 buyer collects or arrange your own courier. The hole Fitted
