  1. It is loud under there The black thing is plastic its to feed air over the diff and keep it cool
  2. Just a little one tonight Put the lights back in the rear bumper Now you can see what the "thing" I created was for It's a centre support for the new rear bumper as it doesn't have anything with it and I'm worried down force will cause a problem and from behind Then I got Bob to drop in on his way to the pub and help put the boot back on and just to see what it looks like we laid the spoiler in place Not sure how well the pictures show it but the boot will be getting another paint as it's not a good enough colour match (due to me changing thinners - it was the first bit I sprayed) May go quite for a day or 2 as I have family down this weekend. That's all folks ..................................
  3. My first answer would be cost Its very little work with these I just fillered the line between the OEM and new skirt, They are going to be primered and painted (unless you want white bits on the side). Have you looked at my build thread? - do I come accross as someone that worries if something takes a little more "hassle"
  4. They look like this - basically you clip them on over the OEM they come with a fixing kit. I (being me) bonded them and blended them and modified the standard mounting kit. They could just be fitted and sprayed - but I am doing a colour change as well so went the whole distance or from the underside The fit is good out of the wrapping Blended and with primer with paint Hope that helps
  5. A Pez dispencer - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pez Did you not have them as a kid? I'm thought you would have got it
  6. Some great ideas about what it is unfortunately it is now going to be real let down when you find out what it actually is Pez dispenser - Really
  7. Another day another update New Toys to fit tonight thanks Tarmac For anyone with a G200 true dual here is a problem. the zorst wont clear the rear brace Zorst off brace on I then applied heat and a hammer Fits (just) front is easy but it does block the jacking point which could be annoying Onto the rear bumper, The marked bit fouls the zorst so it's not there anymore A test fit shows the zorst is also too short for the new bumper so I removed the end pipes not very round Hammer time then a spare strip of metal cut to size weld it onto the back box tap it into shape replace tail pipe spot weld through the rivet holes match the other side Simples 25mm longer pipes The last job I took this made some cuts folded it over applied some welds for strength Have you worked out what it is yet???? Here it is mounted If you haven't worked it out tune in for the next update - all will become clear. That's all folks ...................
  8. If it was me I would Change the fluid first may help. Change slave cylinder next. That has sorted 2 I know about. After that it's master cylinder or the clutch itself but the above 2 jobs are fairly easy and not too expensive.
  9. DBA 4000 series with Ferodo ds2500 pads for more info (thats where the upgrade came from)
  10. I'm with the others £8.5K with the bits good luck
  11. They did he has been wanting to change them It was the extra 3 laps mate or maybe thats how long it took to stop on them!??? Don't worry Jim - the camber was good it was the toe that was out You still have the eye for it
  12. Howz that for an entrance???   You can always rely on Beb to be different So the story goes that Bed wanted to change his brakes and upgrade from JDM to Brembo's at the same time. He came by last weekend to do this but he didn't have the bolts for the rear calipers and the JDM ones won't fit - Side by side JDM and Brembo so we postponed until this weekend. He came by for the social on Saturday and was due round early Sunday to (bolts now acquired) to swap them out. At 10AM we get the call - I'm gonna be late I've broken down He got as far as the end of his road and the rear brakes jammed on so the AA had to get him to the ZedShed for further investigation. We pulled the back brakes off and found something that surprised even me!!!!! brake shoes that I can live with but check this for a rear disk we soon had the old ones stripped out then Buster showed up for some suspension alignment Back on the brakes Teaching Beb the finer points of copper slip and looking good The only problem is now when he presses the brake pedal like he did before he head butts the steering wheel Hope your getting used to them Beb. Thanks for the masking tape
  13. Evening all Today was another GREEN day Time to get the primer covered and the car the same colour as all the bits I've been doing! Not a bad finish for a DIY cellulose job Last thing tonight we took the masking tape off and now my dash matches That's all folks .................................
  14. Well let's see what delights I have in store for you from the last 2 days, Think I will start a little off topic - I had a few things donated to the ZedShed on Saturday as the current keeper will soon be departing these shores, So I thought they should get put up ready for use - Thanks Jim However he also dropped off another little thing or 2 as it reminds him of me and Buster! Pride of place Thanks Jim Back on topic - In she comes seats out Bit of masking now to sort the roof This double sided tape is a pain the glue either eats into the paint or traps water that causes rust spots so by the time I had it sorted it looked like this also have to get the arch estensions sorted so more masking Primer filler next That's all folks ........................................
  15. Option 4 - just for the slap or option 1 as at least the drivers has been We all know Jim is a "special" case
  16. I don't think they are that bad, (I've seen much worse done to a Zed) I'm with Ricey - I sort of like them. Practicality may be an issue but variety is the spice of life.
