Hi all just to let you know - Engine is coming along nicely Slight delay while we wait for some race shims from the USA but no drama as the bodywork is ongoing Nice new ARP studs Cylinder heads together compression ratio testing 11.5 : 1 So 2x genuine Nissan head gaskets to get it back to a more sensible 10.6 : 1 fingers crossed that can be mapped but I may have to get a different pulley to reduce boost - only the Dyno will tell. meanwhile I'm back on the boot (again) All good fun though (must keep telling myself that!) O what fun we had today Lots of bad language several wasted hours retrieving nuts from inside chassis rails. Krypton factor style puzzles on how you reassemble door locks all in all a fun days modding GT Spec "Fender Braces" OMG not to be undertaken by the faint hearted. Points to note the kit comes with 4 bolts 2 nuts with a special locator and 2 ordinary nuts. Mine had no instructions but info available on the web and vids on Youtube. The first problem is that the kit does not come with bolts to replace the ones that hold the doors on and 6 of the 8 OEM ones are not long enough. The next problem is that you have to hold 4 nuts inside the chassis but only 2 have the locator SO after you have offered them up marked and drilled the holes for the new bolts you need to make a 2 locators - apply weld bend to shape this allows you to achieve - The white tag is the supplied nut and locator all fitted and the others side Also be aware if you have standard wings they will not fit back on you would need to remove this panel (modelled by Bob ) I have aftermarket wings which I did not mount the panel on so they fit this does mean you can see inside the wing as the door opens so we painted it before fitting Yes Bob did knock a nut I had balanced into the box section and we spent some time fishing it out!!!! (Bob did this from the other side of the garage without touching it - but it's ALWAYS HIS FAULT!) We also got the doors on and the door handles re-fitted. That's all folks .........................

To be fair I did leave a few sets of wipers some non 350 parts and some wheel nuts - Buster grabbed some bits as well mind you, Chilly had a meet at the end of the week we went up - the rest was expected to go then.

I got a twinplate for what Nissan wanted to sell me a clutch, fly and the labour at! Mind you I did have to fit it myself
