Your nuts mate Its an all day job usually have to be there by 8am if your on track (saftey briefing) Specators can show up anythime - think they are free as well
-
Good circuit - lots of grip if its dry - ice rink if it rains - standing water Not much space to get it wrong though - run offs are .... errrr small They have a day on the 7th and another on the 21st September track info - http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/ Another option could be Keevil Airfield? bit cheaper as well They have Friday 31st August and Saturday 22nd September Not been there yet - apparently plenty of runoff space Anyone done Keevil? See how many are interested and when - we can go from there When is G not on holiday
-
+1 I may know of a nice set of high comp (11:1) Cosworth pistons and rings going at a good price if that floats ya boat?
-
He had to wear sunglasses to go under her She is being road mapped on Wednesday all being well collect her the end of the week - then see how many tanks of fuel I can go through over the bank holiday weekend
-
Kinetix - looks different - the velocity manifold - google it or the Cosworth one - thats expensive - can't think of any others that "look" that different.

Hi All, Hoping to get my baby back this week so just wondered if anyone fancied a track day at Castle Combe on Friday the 7th September - or just wanted to come along and see if she blows up on her shake down run Only provisionally gauging interest at the moment Jez - what you up to on the 7th, I know you like to throw yours round Combe - Should see you before then anyway

Won't fit on mine but you missed GREEN as a colour choice -
Is the wing adjustable? Looks to steep at the moment??? Could just be me of course!

Toyo's are great but I find they wear out real quick on the public roads and they are not so good in wet!! (and 19" are 3 x the price of 18"? Not tried the advan neova so for daily I'd prolly try the pilots - I'm on yokohamas for road - but can't tell you if they are any good yet - sorry. Mind you with the power your pumping out I'd be in touch with ricey for some otters So is she coming out of the garage then?????
-
18s for track - better air flow for the disks - Brembos will fit - 19" track tyres are silly ££££££££

Thanks all RE the fueling - the Haltech has built in MAP so it should not be the MAF causing the issue. for ioneabee and Pimm (as I'd hate to be the cause of you turning to the X factor ) Don't worry 2 new projects waiting and one is even another Zed

I was pulling ya leg mate Get out and enjoy the sunshine while you can - we haven't seen it much this year They could do a 50 shades of blue book out of 1 Azure 350z we have actual sunshine today in N.Ireland so i guess that gives the illusion of a different shade colour. Its still grey, there are many shades of grey, about 50 i think, they have even wrote a book about them
-
they even changed the colour Nice works looks great again

I haven't had my car for a week or so as it's been up at AME so as some of you know I like to do a bit of kiting - even dragged Buster out (literally) on his birthday so I went last weekend ....... Its fun... till you get 15 feet up and botch the landing the cuts not the issue its the bruising to both knees Of course this means as I sit here (cause it hurts to walk) I have a bit of time so I thought I'd do this now........... Well she is dyno mapped ........ Held at 408WHP same as the first power test but the real world figures are interesting. When hot she holds 385WHP this is heat soak and inlet temps bringing it down. With water only injection she holds 395WHP consistently which should make her quick on track alongside all the other supporting mods Looks like the Meth and NOS will have to be added at a later date though as we have a slight issue with the fuelling she seems to pulse a little extra fuel every 3-4 seconds and this lets her run rich for a second or so then back to spot on - this only happens if you hold her at a set RPM so tick over or just holding at a given rpm, it doesn't happen on a power run on the dyno as you accelerate. Strange one - Dan has emailed Haltech to see what can be done, he has also sorted out a clever ignition timing strategy that has sorted the lumpy idle out probably caused by SC drag and aftermarket cams. Booked in for MOT Monday and hopefully collect her sometime after that - As it has taken a bit longer than expected to get this far Dan won't have time to do the NOS and Meth (If I use it) before his wedding and honeymoon so I will take her back sometime late this year for that. Other than that very happy with the figures - the dyno results imply she will be very driveable with good linear power delivery and a responsive engine, Honestly I just want to get her back and throw her round track once or twice before the summer ????!!!??? ends. Thanks for reading my thread, the comments (even Doogyrev's) and support have helped me along over the last 10 months or so! This is/was the first time I have had a "blog" and it's been fun. What have I learnt????? 1. Don't tune a 350z - it's too expensive too complicated and hard to get parts in the UK! 2. Do put a build thread up, the help advice and support is awesome. 3. Whatever you set your budget at - you WILL go over! 4. For every review you read saying this part is great you can find another slating the same part! 5. Make sure you are single or have a VERY, VERY understanding partner! 6. Never give up! So sad to see part finished projects 7. Doesn't time fly!? 8. Paint technology has changed in 20 years - That took some getting used to 9. Cheap alternative parts let you down 9 times out of 10!!!! 10. It's all worth it when you stand back and look at what you have done - it does make you feel good or not Have to say a few Thanks in no particular order ......... My Wife - She just rocks and not only did she not run out of patience she helped!!! My eldest daughter - now also a petrol head Buster - What a star he has been with me since day 1 and pumped a fair few hours of his personal time into this and stuck with me while I was throwing my toys out of the pram - Thanks mate Buster's Wife - For letting him out to play as well as all the cakes and coffee NeilP - for all the support - a solid friend Andlid - For being special (I blame him for starting this) Tarmac - I think he priced every after market part available in the states for me and supplied quite a few. ZmanAlex - He's been there and got the T shirt - always good advice and the parts well ... in stock and good to go Wasso - Another friend made - and he helped make her shiny Ian - Just for being himself Jez@Horsham, CS, Sam McGoo, Darren-B, rtbiscuit, tony420, DoogyRev, glrnet, Chilli Red and the whole forum really Sorry if I missed someone/anyone I thought I would add this as well - it's (almost) the Mod list that was sent to the insurance company - all mods covered like for like Engine 3.5l VQ35DE V6 block bored to 96mm Tomei pro cams Brian crower valve springs and valve caps 3 angle valve seats Ported cylinder heads Skimmed heads (0.5mm) OEM full gasket set Polished and balanced crank Eagle h-beam rods Arp rod bolts Arp Head studs Cosworth 96mm 11.0:1 forged pistons ACL race main bearings ACL race big end bearings ACL race thrust washers New oil pump APS Plenum APS Sump Bosch 725cc Injectors Vortech V2 Supercharger Additional Engine / Engine Bay Haltech Platinum Pro ECU FMIC Stillen Ceramic Coated Headers AEM water/meth injector with filter Wizards of NOS 75 shot system AMS Light Weight Pulleys (Except main pulley due to damping) Stage 1 FRS AAM Fuel rails Walbro 255 fuel pump Mishimoto fans and aluminium shroud Koyo radiator Nismo thermostat Nismo oil Cap Oil Cooler Power steering fluid cooler Spill's grounding kit Stainless Steel Coolant and Power steering pot Stainless Steel Bolts APS Strut brace (modified) Rare JDM harness cover (modified) Samco Hoses Decat Invidia G200 Exhaust Z-Speed under tray Transmission OEM 6 speed gearbox Carbonetic twin plate clutch Kaaz limited slip differential (2 way converted to 1.5 way) Quick Shifter Torque Solution rear gearbox mount Braided Clutch line Suspension, Brakes and Wheels Braided Brake lines Ksport 6 pot callipers and 330mm disks rear D2 8pot callipers with 356mm disks front Tein Flex suspension all round with EDFC NISMO Front and Rear ARB's SuperPro / Whiteline adjustable bushes throughout Adjustable rear camber arms Rota Drift 18" wheels running Toyo 888's 275 rear 245 front for track. 19" x 11 RE30 Running 295 Rear & 18" x 8.5 RE30 Front Running 245 for road .
