  1. Have you considered buying an old Maxi, Mr. Keyser, and making one? Steve Hey now don't put ideas in my head I have too much on at the moment I don't see a Maxi as a good base how about an old Austin Avenger?? autotrader here I come
  2. Really mate don't sweat it you will drive yourself mad. Yes you were supposed to report it but you panicked at the time - no other cars involved, no pedestrians and it was an accident speculating on what will happen from nothing to having the book thrown at you won't change the outcome. Get the details in and get it done with the waiting and uncertainty is the horrible bit!
  3. Test drive it down to me Amazing motor really want to drive one - but like others have said not desperate to own one.
  4. I disagree, You send your details in to the police as requested and the police ask you to come in for an interview. At the same time you arrive at the police station 2 FBI agents also arrive to collect Mr X who is being held on and extradition order for acts of terrorism. In a terrible case of mistaken identity you are handed over to the FBI flown back to the USA and immediately onto Guantanamo Bay for questioning! It takes years to sort out the confusion. In the meantime Mr X is let off with a caution for failing to report an accident and a small bill for damage to public property. He leaves the police station with his new identity and opens a florists. I recon that's closer to "the worse that could happen"
  5. Good luck with that expect to see it all shiny and new looking soon
  6. He dosen't care about any of the problems just loves that car
  7. Love the way it tells you exactly what it is for Well done mate
  8. Errrrr none, Bob just sneezed Correct Me and Bob did it but when it's just the shell it only actually takes one, I just moved the tyres it is laying on and "caught" the shell as it came over

  10. Which (preferably) Sunday are we going for? The 14th or the 21st? I'm happy with the pub Buster suggested and a few others seem OK with it shall we go for it? Be rude not too don't ya think??
  11. Some more pictures of progress since the last update I am not overly happy with some of the welds so I thought I'd try and tidy them up a strengthening plate has been added but half covers a drain hole so that needs sorting Finished the front of the driver's door added some welds to the plates found another hole and another lumpy weld so did a tidy up on that then we lowered the mini Sub frames of so we could do this - Now I was going to replace the rear panel but as it will now be under the body kit I had to repair it, starting with this Few plates and a bit of welding later Caught in the act by someone???? The next thing to tackle is the shell I now have was race prepped so all the pipes and cables have been removed from the bottom and re-run inside, As this will now be a road car again thy need to go back underneath but the mounts have also been cut off!! So on the donor shell on the bottom is the fuel line carrier but not anymore I cut it and some other clips out - Cleaned it up and attached it to the new shell sorted Stay tuned for the next exciting episode ...............................
  12. Buster has suggested The Vine Inn Romsey Road, Ower, Southampton, Hampshire SO51 6ZJ Just off J2 M27 - big (flat) carpark to rear http://www.pub-explorer.com/hampshire/pub/vineower.htm Over to you guy's

  14. I only know PS Only place I have ever been (twice) Zugs is the man for that area is he not? I did just about manage the carpark at Hedge End with the Zed a couple of weeks ago though Port Solent has that huge speed bump on the road in just after the roundabout - Buster made it though and I'm sure he is as low if not lower than me - I shall ask him ......................
  15. Supposed to do 35MPG - I'll let you know on that one though No build thread - unless it's towing something into the ZedShed its just to hack about in - only problem is after driving that I realise how much more comfy than my Hilux Picup Truck it is not sure if I should change that now as well!!
  16. From the link - First human to break the sound barrier unaided by a vehicle. Kittinger reached 614mph (988km/h) - about Mach 0.9 - on his descent. Baumgartner is expected to achieve a speed in excess of 690mph (1,110km/h) within about 40 seconds of leaving his capsule. With so little atmosphere at 102,800ft, he will drop very rapidly So we shall see I wish him the very best
  17. You will always feel like something is missing though ......... Oi you two !! I could be up for a Sunday meet Not sure if I can get in the car park at PS though
  18. Funny thing is I really want to see him make mach1 Hope is Go Pro works for the full journey back
  19. Well after finding ourselves in the strange position of having 4 family members with three 2 seated cars (now the wife has officially adopted the 2nd Zed) and winter fast approaching we thought we need a winter shed / spare family motor, I have the Hilux which has 5 seats but the wife's old MR2 has been sat doing nothing bar the odd shopping run for the last 3 months, so I took the MR2 in for MOT today which it passed with a couple of advisories - Tyres close limit brakes imbalanced and low (MOT inspector said it needs a good drive) but a pass is a pass so with that in hand we went and swapped it for something a little more errrrrrr well practical if nothing else. From the advert - Audi A6 Additional Information A NICE EXAMPLE FINISHED IN METALLIC BLUE WITH A BALCK CLOTH INTERIOR. SHE COMES WITH A NICE SERVICE HISTORY AND 12 MONTHS MOT. Audi A6 Features Air Conditioning Dual Climate Zones Alarm, Anti-Theft System Central Locking Remote Central Locking Cloth Upholstery Colour Coded Interior Centre Armrest Head Restraints Rear Headrests Adjustable Steering Column Cruise Control Multi-function Steering Wheel Power Steering ABS Multiple Airbags Child Locks Colour Coded Body Metallic Paintwork Electric Mirrors Electric Windows Radio 90000 Miles It has a full dealer service history up to 84K then it has been looked after by a local garage including a major service new cam belt and water pump at just under 87k Drives nicely has a 2.5l diesel engine and the tip box seems sweet as a nut and you could get a pregnant elephant in the back in fact you could get an elephant pregnant in the back few pics from the dealers website - Hope to collect her Friday afternoon if I can get the plates transfered and the paperwork sorted and it passes the MOT of course
