  3. Next step is here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67618-rear-speaker-upgrade/
  4. Evening all, Following on from Busters front speaker upgrade - he lost the plot! He decides today we should upgrade his rear speakers - OK We stripped out the plastic and this was under the strut brace cover Not having that gash job so got out one of my crimbo pressies and sorted it there and then and the other side Much neater They are for the rear suspension adjusters Anyway Bob then takes out the OEM rear speakers Not the delirious look on his face!! Now most folks upgrade to a nice set of 17cm speakers but Not Buster O NO! 6x9 Black air Vibe's only slightly bigger than the OEM speakers So we marked up the difference Nothing that an air saw won't sort out cut out Bit of neatening up and smooth the sharp edges extend the cables Line them up Screw them down Replace trim OMG you can hear the back speakers now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Great work mate, nice to see you stuck with it, gona be a one of a kind when done. Keep up the good work.
  6. That was just the front speakers Pete, Bob got them from somewhere think they are 17cm ? Pioneer TS-G1718 170w. the wood bit to space them I made out of scraps but if you want some I'm sure we can come to an arrangment
  7. Hi all, I'm offering this Zed up on the forum before she goes up for sale anywhere else. The story is long and complicated but basically another Forum member bought this 350z as a project car and got well into the rebuild before a change of circumstances meant he was unable to finish it, at this point I took over and got her roadworthy again. The original build thread http://www.350z-uk.c...updated-010912/ From when I got her http://www.350z-uk.c...-jan-pic-heavy/ Before I got her she had the engine removed and new rings fitted, a new clutch fitted a complete service, along with most of the parts that were missing replaced I can't verify any of this without taking the car apart but with the receipts, having driven her and read the first build thread it all seems to all add up. Also replaced - New back box Braided clutch line clutch slave cylinder New battery New windscreen I added Pre owned Brembo front calipers, Fans and Shroud, driver's side door mirror, bonnet stay mount, passenger window glass, new gearbox oil and a few other bits and pieces. Today she went in for MOT and breezed it only got an advisory on the nearside headlight - which I will clean up tomorrow. About the Zed 2002 Nissan 350Z JDM Imported in 2007 105K Miles (by my calculations due to the kilometres to miles conversion approx 85,000 miles) UK Rear Bumper 6 Speed manual Nismo Suspension Cloth Seats Brembo Brakes all round Drives well Bad points The paint work is not A1 she has the usual marks for a car of her age but also suffers from a not so perfect front bumper re-spray the colour match is good but the paint on close inspection has some orange peel to it. Slight scuffing in the drivers seat. She is missing a bonnet rubber, Battery cover and external temperature sensor, I have feelers out with a forum trader to try and get replacement parts. The radio is JDM so not a lot of good I have a cheap alternative but thought a new owner would want to fit a nice double din unit. The gearbox grinds sometimes going into 3rd and my guess is that the syncro is on its way out, the rest of the gears are good with no problem. I am asking £3,900 as she stands now or £4,500 with a pre-owned (3 month warranty) CD006 gearbox installed. I have the above pic of her and the build threads have more, We will give her a wash and sort the headlight tomorrow and get a load more pics of her and the interior.
  8. Buster the ICE man was back at the ZedShed today to upgrade his front speakers, so as always we took some pics for your viewing pleasure and it may help as a guide for someone else Door card removed OE speaker to come out Using the new speaker and the OE speaker for reference I marked up a scrap piece of MDF from a previous sub box build lots of circles Meanwhile Buster then extended the speaker wires Heatshrink and ran them inside the door I finished the new mount extension Drilled and counter sunk Some longer bolts Bolted that in and mounted the new speaker (please note the colour) All in waiting for the door card They sound so much better as well ~
  9. FFS not another one!!!!! Sorry to hear that mate.
  10. Them Type R's scare me (click the pic)
  11. Wheels look great One of them pump and spray bottles - water and a drop of liquid soap - washing up liquid will do - clean the rim spray the water on put the sticker on and it will slide around or peel off again. Let it dry jobs a good un. Mine are the same as the reat just vinyl stickers nowt speacial. Did mine on the car, would be easier to take the wheel of and lay it flat though.
  12. By sticky strips you mean the curved ones that you stick 4 per wheel? Yes mate exactly that - got them from eBay for kawasaki motorbikes as it's a colour match for me
  13. Sounds like an earthing issue to me, can you describe the fault a little better? No Side lights - or do you mean dip and no main beam - you replaced a bulb - still not working? 2 bulbs each side main and dip plus 2 sidelight bulbs, also if you have a tester check they are getting power - do not test inside a HID - you need to test the feeds to the head liights!
  14. BBK - do you have a large video game collection??? Just asking
  15. Did I make the right call then...................... I think you made everyone happy we get Doughnuts he gets to look at Zeds Sweet I'd say we do a lot ourselves, can't help you with "find a good reliable fitter/modder who knows these cars." that bit though
