So as I finished changing the gearbox on my own before Buster arrived What could we get up to with a free evening in an empty ZedShed? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm So I got the coffee Bob got the tarts We found the old damaged Carbon Roof panel took the CF Slam panel from my Zed marked it up Some cutting Sanding More sanding Just before grub we have - Sorry about the fitted pics it was dark, hopefully Bob will get a decent pic today

As some of you may know I recently rescued a Sunset Zed and got it back on the road and MOT'd, well I put up a for sale post to get it moved onto a new owner but pointed out 3rd gear was on its way out and if preferred I would put in a new pre-owned gearbox. Well the guy that bought it decided that was the best option so at 7pm tonight we rolled the Zed into the ZedShed and with the assistance of Mrs Keyser we went to work 7pm 8:30pm Not bad 1 hour 30 mins including coffee break to drop a gearbox out without a lift! Snapped 2 10mm trim bolts which I will sort tomorrow before I put her back together - Buster will be here for the heavy lifting Then we have this ready - and inside Thanks to ZmanAlex who shipped it down for me on Tuesday Hopefully more pics tomorrow.

Never had anyone I didn't want to let accelerate away from me manage it yet If I'm on the motorway I let everyone else do what they like if they are on my rear bumper I just pull over and let em on past. As humpy said last night he can only here my car when he is driving withing 100 yds of me on the motorway so maybe the sound scares them

I keep looking at the LS1/2 or LSA options and I still can't justify it to myself - and I'm mad. Your looking at around £10k for 550HP on an SC LSx block you still have the agro of the gauges as they won't convert to the CAN on the american ECU so Syvecs would be an option add £1500 ???? However you can get the same power out of a VQ for the same money - I will grant you that torque would be better with the V8 and it's a V8 sound not a V6. So I'm still not convinced its worth the effort - love to see one done or help someone do it but I'm not there yet, If you lived in the states and you can source the parts from a crashed shell at $5000 - now I can see the point. Just my thoughts

Hi all, As I'm a noob to the Roadster scene I have a question for 350z pre 06 roadster owners - What is the sound system like in the real world? They seem to have the same setup as the equivalent coupe - Bose wise - now I'm not saying the Bose is awesome but you can hear it How does the Roadster compare? Thanks
