  1. and here I am to say HI Welcome along We will expect you to visit the Zed Shed at some point, we can see your new toy
  2. Yup keep em coming I want double figures
  3. Is that an Army reference from a war dodger?
  4. What's funny is I got 4 replies from 4 members - another 2 and I'll start a fan club Luv you guys More adventures soon. @Jay84 I think of my exploits as comic book like, or comical at least so I think your analogy is spot on Think I might actually do some chassis work this weekend Stay tuned
  5. I know what you are all thinking (by all I mean the 4 of you that read this ) What does it all do and can I use it !!?? Well lets find out shall we Time to play with the toys Bit of marking out Plasma cutter To get and Ran the strips through the metal bender Shrinker then shrinker and fine tuned with the planashing hammer WHat do you know it fits Bead roller - just for fun punch and then clamp for welding Bit of paint and the first one is done Should have welded it from the bottom - I'll do that on the other side, but it's all good and the tools appear to do the job, might need a bit (a lot) of practice to get my eye back in for the huge amount of bodywork I have lined up but it will be fun trying. Keyser Maximum Effort
  6. Back on the multi tool, I wanted to do some work on the shrinker/stretcher I have long arms but I cant push the bar to full range without standing at the side of it, I want to be in front of it and I want to use both hands - that's a lot of "I want" but I want it OK Lets take this - To the untrained eye it may look like an old piece of rusty rebar from the scrap pile but it's not if you cut it off then run it through the lathe, hiding underneath the rust is a duplicate of the original hand lever See With the application of heat you can make it into a new design feature A few tests to get angles sorted out - That was a fail moved the second bar to the lower leg That was much better Added a captive nut then made a top link a return spring and a pedal something like this needed some paint and these to guides to stop it twisting I now have a foot operated shrinker/stretcher Keyser Maximum Effort
  7. Well good evening, Had a busy weekend Didn't get away with not putting the lights up and this Showed up Anyway onto some other bits, My speed controller arrived I decided it needed protecting and according to Google maps my local screw fix had one of these in stock and only 2.57 miles away, the problem with that was I recorded 37 miles to collect it, - #GT-R I really should stop using it to pop to the shops it's costing a fortune in fuel anyway when I eventually got back How much wiring for a simple motor!!!!!! I got it all done and mounted Please note the Green dust on the switch, thats how long that has been laying around the Shed waiting to find a home wiring all neat and out of the way Made these so I don't need spanners, they fit like so Had to cut down the T bar as it would interfere with the metal passing through. I then added a spring return and put it all together Tested it and it works More in a mo
  8. You see this is why I keep her around Great to see you down at the Shed welcome back any time Hope the Gearbox is still smooth and the brakes are good
  9. Keyser

    cats and exhaust

I have a pair of sports CATS for sale - There are different results with HFC's passing MOT but PM me if interested.
  10. See that's cheating - you didn't tell us there was a third mount Its probably covered then Like I say wasn't putting the work down just trying to help Keep the updates coming
  11. Nice to see it moving along, Can I just say, and I'm not trying to put down your hard work, are you sure that those 4 bolts are enough to hold the weight of the intercooler? The problem more being that when you start going over bumps it will put a strain greater than just the intercooler weight on them, my concern is that the bumper ally is quite thin, there wont be many threads in it. I did a similar thing with my oil cooler and decided to drill all the way through and use threaded bar to hold the brackets. Just a thought I'd hate to see you get it all together and then have the intercooler drop, Keep up the good work
  12. Sorry for your loss, welcome back and I look forwards to the rebuild - do start a thread to keep us amused during the long cold nights
  13. A £100K plus piece of automotive engineering is released in it's newest form, A car capable of over 180mph A car with handling that (given its design) almost defies physics A car that is an icon of the age and what are we discussing???? - What colour the seats should be!!!!!!! Really guys............................ REALLY!!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks @andybp Another few million like you and I'll be as popular as Terry Pratchett Please feel free to move closer and bring your milling machine with you Anyways it's 7:30AM on Saturday so I'm going to sneak out to the Shed before the rest of the family get up and rope me into this decorating malarkey Have a fun day all. K
  15. As promised more tool modifications going on to bore you to tears Using my newly modified band saw I cut up some heavy weight box Took some old bolts and made a plate welded some more plates and the box together to make this .......... Added legs and wheels Can you guess what it is????? Click to find out In other news the speed controller for my bead roller arrived and to be fair a day earlier than it was supposed to, so that's on the cards for finishing this weekend, if I can get out of "decorating the tree" Keyser Maximum Effort
  16. That's an awesome colour IMO but some say I like Green a bit to much I seem to be with the majority - I quite like it except the back is not quite right somehow. Deadpool film style "I'd hit that" Not on my current wish list - mind you it's currently a very short list as I'm not looking at them moment
  17. along. Keep the updates coming mate but start a build thread your post count won't increase in the introductions section
  18. Mine was IIRC 30mm lower rear 20mm lower front on adjustable though so I could change - also running 18" front and 19" rear wheels. Hit every speed bump I ever met
  19. I know there has been a lack of updates but I just got a GT-R - what did you expect??? I'll just leave that there The bead roller wiring is currently on hold as when I tested it even on low speed it feeds the metal quite quickly so I thought I'd add a speed controller to the motor to make it a bit more user friendly. Now I could make one but I found them so cheap on the bay it isn't worth it so I found a genuine UK seller with UK stock ready to ship If you need one his name is 上海竹亭贸易有限公司 Surprisingly the shipment from UK stock hasn't actually arrived yet O who cares at that price I can wait To keep from getting bored I cleaned the Shed II out again and changed a gearbox on a 350z for a forum member that made the pilgrimage down Then I set about modifying my new band saw; I am happy with it's performance so far but, the wheels are crap and moving it is not easy, it is also an upright saw however if you look here - You will notice the that in the upright position the saw bed sits at gonad height It's uncomfortable to work at that height and a little worrying! The legs also wobble - I did buy the cheap version the more expensive one came with a better stand. This one is just pressed steel that fits where it touches Anyway I took it apart and lined the legs up to the corners Added a few holes for spot welds I had this old stand on the scrap pile Cleaned up some bits from that welded them on added a base and wheels It's now easy to move and sits at a good height in the upright position More Toys being modified soon Keyser Maximum Effort
  20. @andy james has a set of Rays for sale - take a look here -
  21. Just had a read through - thanks for sharing, should be a cool DD when finished
  22. Gas struts were shot mate no use to anyone. Rays have gone sorry.
  23. I have it, It's probably at least as rusty as the one you are replacing!!
  24. I'm looking into it - not really a top priority at the moment as it will take years to build this and they will no doubt change the rules on a daily basis while I do it Probably end up with a Q plate if I play by the new rules, which is the only thing that annoys me - they work on the points rule now so it depends what parts are original. We shall see Nice pic - thats ready for a nice restoration project
