  9. I wonder if its the same fault we had - there is an earth that attaches to the front of the CAM chain cover, if you miss that or like I did put it on with a rusty bolt the Coil packs don't fire - crank but no go. This one Ignore the big wire its the little black one behind it that goes into the loom that causes the problem - Good Luck O if you have white smoke and she is turning over and "jamming" I would check you have the coil packs in the right order 1 and 3 are the easy ones to reverse - thats the first 2 left side as you look into the engine bay from the front (just a thought)
  10. Came out on the later models and they do tend to get snapped up quickly as they have the better synchros, I also found when calling scarp yards they had no idea what model they were selling, I belive the only way to know without taking it apart is the sticker on the side but I have seen a few with a sticker that just reads - CD00# Not much help - sorry - as I say good luck they are about just hard to track down (well it was for me )
  11. CD009 - Hmm unicorn poo is easier to find - try a PM to Zedmanalex, Good luck with the hunt though

  14. Strange question I'm not a mechanic by trade no - do I want to know where this is going????? See I'm self taught and do all the work on the cars in our house. I just have immense respect with someone of your knowledge and someone who does it for other people. Thank you- I think (hope I'm not being setup here ) Started at the age of 10 - Found a moped on the farm we moved to - stripped and rebuilt that followed by several more, left school and did an apprenticeship as a mechanic - got my light engines and chassis certificate in the loft somewhere Made redundant so went into electronics for a while now in IT but still love the cars - so enthusiast with a bit of a background. The knowledge is easy - Google is my friend

  16. Water Meth injection, SC, and Nitrous - preferably on a forged block with a quick shift, aftermarket suspension and a new set of bushes all round - top that off with some 11" rear wheels wrapped in 295 rubber and you won't get half as bored Worked for me any way
