The only thing that your missing is a 1 piece inlet pipe Sam - it would go so well with your kinetix as well (that and the battery/fluid covers and surrounds but I assume you have them )

You can get a spare plenum clean and polish or paint then 1 for 1 swap so no down time - a nice hose kit some colour matched sheathing for the cables. You don't have to go to extremes - I was doing a full car rebuild so may as well paint it while it was out

Yep - get it on a ramp and have a good look underneath - also worth looking to see if/where smoke is rising - if your lucky it will be a carrier bag wrapped round the CAT - they stink! - if not a good look generally and maybe remove the plenum and check underneath that, also pull the coil packs see if any oil is showing up

As mentioned above try it at standstill that will rule out brakes and clutch (still think it's oil)

My new clutch came with instructions on "how to prepare clutch for drag starts" If I do it (with traction control off) the back of the car disappears in a cloud of smoke then the better half complains about me buying a "another" set of rear tyres

Someone just had one done - Meeeerk I think - and it is lovely Wife has a roadster and we have changed the roof but for a genuine one from a 2005 it is not leaking so far and goes up and down (when warm) along and congrats.
