Nice one Steve - How do I order from The 'Keyser' Edition didn't see that colour on the link -
O a proper sensible and decent solution / suggestion - could have knocked me down with a feather I had no idea you had friends EDIT : Sorry I meant sensible friends More than welcome to take a 2nd look If you want to pop it round so we can play when we have more time happy to try mate Aye, drop me a PM when you have a bit more time free If you want to trial fit to mine you're more than welcome. I already have plenty of holes in my boot deck and no spoiler to get in the way Have you got a BGW?

Firstly - your just worried I won't send it back (rightly so some would say) Did you not fancy painting it? I did mine black to help it blend in - but plenty of bright colours if you want to show it off - just a thought easier to wash when painted as well.

try and sleep Congrats hope you enjoy her for a long while to come
-
Get it done Of course if you want the power all the time SC is the way ahead
-
Still there of course I drive her real gently NOT I have uprated engine mounts and gearbox mount which stops tramp the drive train has not gone bang yet the biggest problem is stopping both back wheels sending you snaking up the road (although I'm told it looks really cool from behind when you smoke the tyres and accelerate away at 80+ mph though (on track of course!) EDIT: Also have superpro bushes throughout and whitline in the rear subfram I also run a 1.5 way Kaaz LSD to help with traction O and I have BBK all round to slow it all down again quickly - Humpy can testify to that - makes your eyes hurt when you slam the anchors on Mine is stealth - I have a spare if you really want one Whats it like to drive???? That is all

I did mine with my sandblaster No seriously I did - I use crushed glass and the more times it runs through the blaster the less abrasive it gets so you use some that has been round 3-4 times (usually thrown away at that point) you then reduce the pressure on the sandblaster reg and use a wider nozzle and keep it further from the surface all of which reduce the force and abrasion - end result is a shiny IC (which I painted) its not polished looks more like brushed aluminum but it also removes all that crap that gets between the fins - mine had no ill effects from the treatment and has been running for 2 years since done. Make sure you seal the ends really really well before you do it though as the last thing you want is crushed glass in the engine Before you say I don't have a sand blaster VLAD - you have my address so you can either come down and do it or post it to me and I'll send it back (well I'll prolly send it back at least )

Another Engine Rebuild at the Zed Shed New Update P4
Keyser replied to Keyser's topic in 350Z General
It's my garage as in at my house - however I have a well stocked garage with plenty of tools, welders plasma cutters spray equipment sand blasters etc etc Me and my good mate Buster built my 350z tweaked his and his good ladies 350's and have helped numerous members with anything from a space to jack up there Zed and service it to complete zorts, clutch or even engine swaps. Why - cause we are really nice guys Well we can be nice IF you bring doughnuts I thought I was apprentice already? Apprentice brew boy -
WHAT!?!? I thought you said it's in the post to me, like few days ago? No I checked no Paypal transfers made And the fuel rails never got here EDIT: Mods/anyone In joke nothing to worry about
-
I am running a fully forged build with 11:1 + .5 pistons aftermarket CAMS etc etc with a V3 Vortech supercharger and a Haltech piggy back ECU (or a mental setup) hence the 500 HP at the Hubs Wasso was running on a stock engine and ECU, Neil P is running a bigger shot but with a Haltech ECU. Costs - Well as you see I have a kit for sale maybe 50% more or double that for brand new - depends where you shop I suppose Installation - No idea did it my self - if someone buys my kit that can be discussed You will need dyno time to set it up properly though! Downsides - You run the risk of blowing your engine out of the bonnet if your not sensible If you are sensible then not to many - I'll start to get technical now so anyone browsing can skip the next bit NOS in itself is not highly flammable but if you heat nitrous oxide to about 570 degrees F (~300 C), it splits into oxygen and nitrogen. So the injection of nitrous oxide into an engine means that more oxygen is available during combustion. Because you have more oxygen, you can also inject more fuel, allowing the same engine to produce more power. So when the NOS is fired a second solenoid opens to allow the additional fuel in. At this point you would expect to retard the ignition slightly to avoid detonation and possibly increase the fueling to make it really safe. Now that is one of the problems of fitting NOS to a 350z, even with an uprev the stock ECU cannot change maps on the fly so Wasso had his setup with a slight retard to allow for this whereas I have a Haltech ECU, the NOS controller sends a signal to the Haltech ECU when the solenoids (can be called pulseoids) open the Haltech ECU then changes the MAP on the fly to retard the ignition and increase the fueling. So in summary - if you do it right and get a good tuner and your engine is in reasonable condition and you don't add to big a shot yes you get lots of bang for your buck PS I will have a Haltch ECU going cheap soon (shameless plug ) Questions? - Fire away
-
@ Andy Are these Kits expensive - not if bought here http://www.350z-uk.c...t-complete-kit/ How Much Fun - quite a lot but never enough It all depends on the mapping and how you use it. 10lbs of NOS is not a lot in minutes of use terms but you are not on the GAS all the time mine kicks in at 3250 and out at 6500 - mine revs to 7250 (fully forged build) Which is only a few seconds, it can also be used in such a way that it does not fire in 1st and/or second gear etc with the right controller and setup. You can also set it to not come in when in higher gears so not in 5th and 6th its best used for acceleration not top end speed. Wasso did use it round the Ring and it lasted quite well as I recall - he can elaborate but it really is a piece of string question

Another Engine Rebuild at the Zed Shed New Update P4
Keyser replied to Keyser's topic in 350Z General
Matt is trying to get promoted from Tea Boy to floor sweeper so there may be an opening although LaidbackLuke has a head start as the Saturday brew maker If your ever in the area and want to drop in for coffee and a chat you are more than welcome (drop me a PM) if you time it right there is usually something Zed related going on -
I have NOS fitted so does Neil P Neil has the tank on display in the back of the car mine is a stealth install hidden in the cubby behind the passenger seat pics on my for sale thread http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82530-wizards-of-nos-75-shot-complete-kit/ (but I have had little interest and just insured her for another year with it so it will prolly stay now) Does make a difference if you plumb it in don't see much point in just having the tanks If you plumb it in and set the NOS to fire at 3250 rpm just as she comes on CAM you get a good kick in the backside :

I have played the 14 day game and won The story - (not that you care) The day I bought the car (not the Zed this was years ago - I or my wife or a friend (everyone wants to drive the new toy) went through a static camera that hadn't worked for the last 2 year at 36 MPH 46 days later I get a ticket - after doing my research I reply that I can not remember who was driving the car 46 days ago me the wife my friend everyone wants to drive the new car I also mention that the NIP was not posted inside 14 days They reply that the first NIP was sent within 14 days but to the previous owner as the registration change had not gone through and in these circumstances they had longer to send the NIP out So I reply well that's as maybe but I still don't know who was driving the car 50+ days ago So they say I must tell them or I will be prosecuted for not telling them. So I sent a letter back to say well if the crime is poor memory I'm guilty as charged - but I still can't remember who was driving the damn car so see you in court That's it never heard another thing about it

I think you could get it back a little bit further but the boot starts to level out at the back so you may have an issue with it lifting the foot away from the body in the middle. It needs futher looking into - In my defense we had one evening to do a full service and fit a BGW. We also did not have time to sort out the holes that would be left if the OEMspoiler was removed so the decision was made to try it with - If the OEM is removed later then the wing can be moved and the extra couple of holes can all be sorted at the same time Or put it another way He really really really wanted a BGW before all you lot As Keyser says, there was a lot done that night. When there's a bit more free time, will probably take a closer look at it and see what can be done, a few people have suggested a few things to me. Was one of them - "take that BGW off your car"
