  1. Morning fix of engine mod porn sorted Great work mate Congrats on the new addition to the family You ever go over to Bedford autodrome? The full circuit is fun, We hope to get a few days out there this season may be see you out there??
  2. Do you know I'm not sure if keeping the prop the same place is important any more, It's because the prop is (should be) balanced and back in the day - 1980's (pre my war years ) if you didn't put it on the same way round you could get vibration. The reason for the bolts is they are high tensile - 4 bolts take 300HP - so you don't want to get them muddled up with standard bolts. It's - Disconnect Battery Remove - Interior trim round gearstick then - Gearstick cover plate Gearstick to gearbox holder (can mark the triangle plate as it's position controls the push down point for reverse.) You then remove the gearstick bolt from under the car just pull the square rubber boot off to get at it. Exhaust - I do Cats as well and take of the sensor wires in the middle (colour coded so no need to mark) Prop Cross member (little one) Starter motor Clutch line - take the complete slave off for a DE and hang it from a zip tie saves bleeding the clutch after wiring loom - start at the back remove 2 sensor connectors then all the 10mm bolts holding the clips all the way to the front where you find a long plate going up but again just remove the 2 x 10mm bolts, also has a wire running underneath the bell housing that goes to the CPS and starter. Bell Housing bolts - don't miss the little inspection cover bottom centre with a little 10mm bolt top centre of the gear box is a breather pipe - I find it easier to remove that as well Rear gearbox mount and cross member Pull backwards and be ready to catch I think that's it but I wrote that from memory so I may have forgotten something Good Luck
  3. Not heard of it until now, each to their own, don't think I'll be training for it anytime soon
  4. Yes - just have to find them in the boxes of bits, I'll have look today
  5. In other News, The front garden remodel may not be going quite to plan Started off looking like this after the Zed Shed was removed (RIP) So I asked @andy james If he could help with improve the look of the front of the house and give it some more curb appeal, So Andy and Tim were at 2 weeks in - I'm not so sure he understood the look we were going for - Apparently its a work in progress and you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette etc etc But to be fair the end of the 3rd week and after I did a few jobs it's starting to look better and at night Few little jobs to do and it will all be finished and I can get back to building cars in the Zed Shed II Keyser Maximum Effort
  6. Another fun if wet morning with like minded "HARDCORE" petrol heads (what else are you gonna do on a rainy Sunday morning? Seems that sitting in a nice warm pub and talking cars over a full English is not the worst thing you could be doing @Jetpilot seems your predictions were close Few nice cars in the car park and my new toy was sitting next to my last toy as @Beb is back in the country See you all at the next one Keyser Maximum Effort
  7. Who is your draftsman those plans look spot on
  8. I'll let you know after the next track day we take an infra red thermometer with us so we can see if its accurate
  9. This is the one with the valve caps, not sure on the make, Tim (the guy I share ownership of the Radical with) decided we needed one so he got it, I'll try and find out the make for you though
  10. Fired up the mill We can make something out of this new holder for the pressure sensor complete with pipe guide Lastly we added a tyre temp and pressure monitor below the dash Then the Radical was put in the trailer and moved off to my mates house until the Zorst parts get back and @andy james finishes the work in the front garden. Hopefully have her ready for track by the time the weather improves Keyser Maximum Effort
  11. In other news ................................... After an overheating issue and a power loss in the Radical at the end of last year we inspected the engine and found low compression (read no compression) in two cylinders. It appears the valve was not working quite right.... So new head was sorted complete with upgraded valve guides 2mm oversized inlet an 1mm oversized zorst valves machined compression chambers and ported Put new stainless valves and turbo springs in that to go with the turbo cams. Complete engine refresh, new rings, new crank (ours had scoring) and copleteley rbuilt. That is now fitted We also had some work done on the exhaust it's a long story but the manifold got bent/misshaped and we changed the design of the waste gate Repairs to manifold We also welded it to the turbo housing as it keeps loosening the bolts and blowing gaskets New waste gate pipe work That lot is up with Zircotec for ceramic coating Then ................................

Ha I was out in it Sunday - and she had a wash Been busy here you know, it's not just all cars and fun Front garden is being remodelled Make a mess though I blame @andy james as he is building this - It's a cunning plan - wife wants a porch, I want a parking spot for the GT-R I had an old Ford I was going to use some parts off but changed my mind - strange way to get rid of it though!! I'll post up more antics soon Keyser Maximum Effort
