  1. I went through 3 cameras on my build - I would advise you don't buy an expensive one!!! Camera No1 - Launched out of my hand and into a puddle whilst carrying a coffee and bunch of new parts to the garage. Camera No2 - £20 from Argos - launched into a wall by yours truly after it refused to work for about the 10th time (wouldn't switch on) Camera No3 - Victim of a tragic accident involving paint thinners an electric mixer and a distracted operated (Me again ) Camera No4 - Real up market bit of kit - £29.99 inc delivery from fleabay - still going strong (for now ) O and besides this lot always complain about my bad pics if you have a cheap one you can blame it on the camera - I did
  2. Bring it round here again we can destroy more of your car and remove that BGW - won't be more power but will seem like it with the weight/drag loss
  3. You are most welcome - Blame Darren for the pulley I recon it is where he machined a couple of thou off Sorry to see the little bump Great numbers though That should be a fun drive
  4. Now that is a great Idea - Pods facing forwards on each side with a glass front - that will be awesome, imagine the view laying flat on your belly at 3" above the deck with the world speeding past I'm off to see if I can buy some surplus fighter jet fuel tanks to convert into Passenger Pods This could be a real winner
  5. Great finish Not a fan of the wheels, I can't say the colour offends me, makes a great girly car
  6. I'm with the - depends on why it is a Cat D crowd, My good ladies roadster is a CAT D but it has never been in a crash - someone Stanley knifed open the roof to steal a handbag - that's it - it had a new roof and has had another one since (it started to leak) By the same token a high mileage car that has been driven gently up and down the motorway and has a full service history is probably a good investment against a low mileage one that has been hammered. So each case needs looking at on its merits
  7. I use a lump hammer - not expensive A spanner or socket is all that is needed to pull them back together. Loosen the nut (after removing the split pin) give the ball joint a clout (not stupidly hard) on the side of the bar it fits through it should pop out.If not put the nut on and tighten it until about 1 thread is left and a sharp tap on top that should break free it they have inserts so should not need any more persuading most will fall apart. If you do use a tool be careful as the rubbers are very easy to split. Good luck
  8. Meh - Worked on my missus, mind you she got the keys before they got in it She had a great time - test drove the snot out of it
  9. Nice one Darren You going to move the steering wheel over?
  10. I'm afraid we at the Zed Shed have no spares for your engine if it was a DE we have loads
  11. It's a heat thing and it's been bloomin hot lately Well it has down here
  12. Nice one For the engine light see this great guide - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53148-how-to-ecu-accelerator-pedal-throttle-valve-resets/ affectionately know as the pedal dance Failing that just tell us your location and someone nearby will probably have a code reader so they can check the fault and clear it for you. Nice to see it's helped a few people with the airbag light, I'm sure I am not the first to post it though I actually got it from Steady Zeddy he had it printed out and was in the paperwork with the car when I bought her
  13. Epic mate So it's congrats and congrats from me as well
  14. Oi! I can take the cold and damp, it's the car I'm worrying about. I've become bl**dy paranoid about rust. I'd have it climate controlled in there if I could afford it. How do you go on when you are spraying stuff? And as regards the living room, I'm already in enough trouble for having half the car in the house! Yup I'm in trouble as well for to many bits in the house When spraying - for odds and sods I use the space heater to warm the garage but it has to be off when actually spraying. When I did the car I rented some of those infra red heaters, they are awesome and I sweated like a pig doing it! The body kit and Busters bumper I did in the summer and as the Z Shed is wood it gets hot enough (obviously not as good as a spray oven) but I prep and spray on the same day and all those parts are GRP/Carbon/Plastic. If you remember way back to my build thread I had the problem that parts I sandblasted were getting surface rust and needing another light clean before paint - all that was kept in an unheated garage so it is an issue. I feel your pain mate - hope you find a solution
  15. You pansy!!!!!!!! I do use a space heater for the really cold days though Why not just move the jag into the living room
