  1. Not what I was expecting a picture of You can get uprated ones for the rear spring carrier EDIT - Just in case I misunderstood - you won't get oil out of that bush - the diff may be but not the bush
  2. Good point - engine is now mounted North South as opposed to original which would be East West so a possibility - apparently it does not have a tip over sensor but the later models do. Only happens on right hand bends and not all the time.
  3. @ Octet - @ 370Ad - Managed 136 with 2 in the frogster and 140 with just me (which is still a heavy load)
  4. What you mean still!! You think I blew it up Yes it's a Yamaha R1 mate
  5. The camera doesn't show it well I swear it looks closer when you are in the car We swapped places as (we were having fun) The frogster is quicker round the bends but nothing in it on the straights. I will say Haydns brakes are bloomin good Still we will try and get some better film next time If you watch closely and listen on the second bend that is the first right hander I take following you can here the engine cut, we still don't know what caused it happened a few times during the day. The tank seems to have a sump so it should not be fuel surge but may be - interesting one though. Any thoughts anyone? EDIT : Does it on the next right as well - its not me sliding the slide is because the engine cuts.
  6. As it happened P.S Sorry for the poor camera work - I'll get Haydn to drive slower next time
  7. Great trip Keep the pics coming
  8. I recommend you consult Buster he is the King of the rattle can he has sprayed everything at least once But I think RT is right rubber is horrid to paint with anything - never tried plasti-coat though
  9. Not sure if I want them to sell now
  10. I took this route for track day fun - so far it has been exactly that http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/89563-the-frogster-still-keepin-it-green-at-the-z-shed/
  11. So we went round track at Bedford for the shake down - It was fun but I found a few problems - 1. The steering wheel bent slightly - Need a better quality one 2. Possible fuel surge on hard right hand bends - not sure if that is what it is I am investigating and looking at swirl pots etc to see what the best solution is. 3. I thought the car was leaning to the left slightly at one point earlier in the day and on the last lap of my last run it definitely lurched down on the front left corner, Also when we loaded her on the trailer she touched the front bar and was just above it on the way up - but it was 5pm we had a long drive so we left it until the weekend to find out what went wrong. Now I'm not an expert in these matters but when I removed the engine cover and took a look at the front suspension my first thought was - that does not look quite right Sure enough on closer examination I think my diagnosis was confirmed Took both units out and what do you know - I'm sure this bit should be screwed to that bit Like so - Re-assemble All is good with the suspension again, Must have been the extreme vibration that shook that locking nut free - or it was never tightened Just glad it did it on the cool down on the way back into the pits could have been worse at hight speed turning in (<- stole that from Will ) Keeping it Green
  12. I'd be looking at a fluid change in the torque converter (the autobox) as the 2 faults don't sound like they would come from the cam chain - I will admit it does sound like a coincidence and I don't like them.
  13. OK so what we have here is a set of Brembo brakes of a UK 350 GT Z - The story is I had these for a mod on the wife's Zed I was going to do - but sold it and she got the roadster before it happened. I then lent them to MattRoss so he could have them powder coated and put them on his Zed, that way he wouldn't be off the road and I was supposed to get his old calipers back - But yes he sold his before these were ready So they were professionally powder coated in red and have never been fitted, the pistons were then removed ready for the new seals to be fitted (as you are supposed to do after powder coat) They come complete with the new seals as well as new bleed nipples and covers and there is also a set of Brembo Stickers in white included. Some pics - Close ups - Everything you see in the pics (except the white sheet) is included which as far as I'm aware means assemble fir bleed and go Priced to sell at £550 + Shipping - collection as always is free
  14. SMD AKA Batman Well done on the 20k mate

  16. !2,500 is on the limiter mate First run out we managed 125mph on the back straight Me an Keyser Junior said we wanted 135mph by the end of the day and got 136 Last solo run I got brave and managed 140 Looks like I also broke my suspension on my last 20 minute hoon Just off to strip it down and assess the damage - more on that later. Trust me that little car is epic fun - completely different to the Zed on track but the grin factor is possibly even more
  17. Here ya go - completely un-edited just 2 laps round the track - I'll get some better stuff up later
