OK OK I'm sorry guys n gals I haven't been updating my thread of much tinkering BUT I have managed to get out of the GT-R (mod for that in progress) and into the garage and now finally catch you up on a few things. So lets get started - The Zed Shed II has been crammed with cars, garden stuff and miscellaneous things for a while while we finished the work on the house big shout out to @andy james for another excellent job and at last we have had the drive done and it is now usable again But before they layed the Tarmac I gout out the Fisher Price My First Tool Box and had a go - That turned into - Just waiting for the felt roofer so it's waterproofed with damp course membrane at the moment But the finished drive looks awesome In other news and another reason I've been to busy to post, someone drove straight out of a side road in front of Mrs Keyser Yep another Nissan off to the big scrap yard in the sky So we have been playing the "lets fill in lots of paper work and make a lot of phone calls to the insurance company" game. Plus been out shopping for a new motor for Mrs Keyser, found one and deposit is paid just waiting for the insurance cheque now More in a mo ................... Keyser Maximum Effort

Great work and looking good

I'm working - No honest I am - I was just on lunch
-
I did indeed - With the cubby shut it is not possible to accidentally press it and it's hidden as well - stealth install I'm so jealous

This is how I feel - One of my brokers (my business fleet insurance (sounds good but I actually only have 2 vans )) actually says - we have researched the market and this reflects a competitive quote - the meerkats disagree. My point is "they" are my broker and supposed to get me the best quote other wise why do I need a broker? On a side note from @ilogikal1 post above my personal car insurance does say your circumstances are "assumed" and you should call us to confirm - but that is a cop out as my circumstances had not changed at least not for the better as one named driver had a non fault claim, yet keeping the same underwriter I still got a 30% reduction when I pointed out that the top 10 quotes on a comparison site were all at least £100 less! That's a large percentage and in this case another mod I can afford

Imports have the auto function so swapping the switches also gives auto up/down and they are a 1 for 1 swap. I think they disabled it on UK cars due to the additional safety requirements of auto windows - must stop if they trap etc.

That's what I think, Had my renewal a few days ago, went on the comparison sites and it was nearly £200 less!!! - My insurer has a "We guarantee to beat any like for like quote" in the renewal letter, I called - they came down £150 and said they would not match/beat without proof, I emailed them screen shots of the comparison website and they then matched, Now I would switch companies and avoid the aggro but my insurer offers some add ons that the competition just don't do so I decided that getting nearly £200 off my renewal was worth it. But I agree with the point that they should do it at a more competitive price to start with!

Keyser replied to andy james's topic in Local Meets Across The UK
1. andy James 2. Humpy 3. Hilary T 4. Richard T 5. Gg2040uk (Maz) 6. Keyser - I'll be in a Nissan at least Waiting for @Beb to sign up now -
What he said ^^^^^ I had a faulty one but it was hidden behind the cluster - its the kph to mph convertor so just a small black box or circuit board, That's where I'd start looking. Then the white box again as Beb said behind the air con controls.

I have should have the door glass for both sides but from a previous strip, I can get it out of storage and check it over if you need that, the rear quarter panels I don't have as you cant really reuse them as they have locators on them that get cut off when removed. Let me know on the door glass -
That would be great mate, it's been a while!

Gear stick is not a pretty site, heater controls are good though -

I'm pretty sure they are a solid lump so you "could" cut it off - I wouldn't though as even if it is solid it may weaken the casing and cause it to split. I would guess you bought an exhaust for an import which have a smaller Diff housing, I would suggest the exhaust is modified to go round the jacking point rather than cutting it off though.
