  8. I had forgotten about them One as you say is for internal lights the other is/was for external lights (neon's) they were never actually fitted but if you look under the fluids cover you should find a wire coiled up neatly ready for them should you wish to add them later
  9. It's going to be raining tomorrow so don't expect it to stay clean for long You can be so negative Humpy - Zed Shed crew is on an outing the weather gods will smile down upon us (and if they don't we can go in the pub) You forgot to tell the weather gods yesterday Chris As I posted that I thought "yeah just like yesterday" You had to remind me though!!! - Always next time mate At least I can say the Radical survived 1 track day now
  10. Congratulations Selah I see you have great taste in Zeds Can't say I ever had a bad shake on pull away - the clutch does take a bit of getting used to, don't slip it, you need to release it very quickly the manual warns slipping the clutch (for a smooth pull away) may damage the plates. Any questions please feel free to ask and I can explain all the switches and lights if you need to know - Biggest tip is near the handbrake (just behind the handbrake where heated seat switches normally are) are 4 switches the second one over (from the driver) MUST BE ON at all times it is the water injection, keeps inlet temps down - also keep the water bottle (behind driver in boot) topped up with pure water, Most of all ENJOY!!!!!! EDIT: Suppose I should change my signature picture now

  16. And if it rains you will have 2 on track and me in the gravel trap Shake down run in the Radical - can't wait
  17. I went through all this a while ago and read a lot on line - several "race car drivers" (read that as - they were on forums) recon anything without a sub belt is not safe to drive and they would not even think about driving it. The shoulder belts - nearly everyone has them low (as the drawing shows it is acceptable) the argument is compression apparently - I don't see it but I don't know enough to comment. Also if you have no sub belt the combined movement will be down and under aided by the push from the shoulder belts. I still think they are safer than the standard seat belts though.
  18. Useful for other FI builders to note this as well
  19. get medieval on it's ar$e I'd start with an angle grinder and work back from there - but that's just me as Leonk say's bad holes can be fillied with weld - I think those could be sanded out - you could always get it skimmed I use 2 layers of masking tape - it's quite surprising but the sandblaster won't go through it easily - mind you that is a home setup - the one you are going to use may be a bit more powerful I might be having a go at a tool box this winter - See you are an inspiration (and supplier of said toolbox)
  20. Not that one it was 2 Zed's welded together Only messing with ya along
