  1. 6 point minimum IMO - 4 point is either a rear cage or a roll bar - the (ever ongoing / on hold Mini project for my daughter) we put a 6 point FIA approved cage with the added diagonals and door bars. But it depends what you want it for - to make the car stiffer for handling and to give a mount for harnesses a 4 point will do that - to keep you shaken but not stirred in a major off then go 6 at least EDIT: PS Watching with intrest - great project Usage will be mostly road, spirited driving, some track use (but not really flatout type of driving), etc. I dont want the cage interfering with the front of the car for getting in/out and just because I will see it. I also think a front cage will detract in the event of a future sale. Harness, rigidity and some additional impact/rollover protection is good enough (I hope!). Then rear half / 4 point should do all you need I just like having an FIA approved cage round me when I'm on track - mainly cause I have fast cars but I'm not a very good driver
  2. Many Happy returns one and all Mr G you have a great day
  3. I thought you lived in that dump of a place called Whitemill ? It was a nice place (after I moved out ) I did and Bronwydd before that - Now on the sunny south coast
  4. 10 a penny them - say £250 I'll collect Saturday? No idea be interested to see though as I have a small urge to change my wheels - Busters fault!!!
  5. your 370 scd? O yes 440 RWHP As built by our very own DarrenB (I let him do this one for me it worked out cheaper than doing it myself ) he decided he wanted an older project so I was lucky enough to snap this up And to be fair to Darren she runs like a dream (well so far anyway ) Running the GTM kit stage 1.5
  6. Ignore Grundy - he is just upset after we poured sugar in his petrol tank at the last meet and his engine went BANG! Honestly no sense of humor some people
  7. along Have a search on here plenty of members with the 370 and several have had 350's and/or s2000's before - I had a 350 and now have a 370 But can't really give you any good advice as I don't do standard SC 350 she does about 6mpg when pushed and 17mpg when driven slowly (i.e never) But 500 WHP SC 370 goes like a scolded cat MPG - no idea and don't care - not my daily but could be
  8. I lived in Carmarthen (well near it) over 20 years ago - I was that boy racer Actually that's not true we all used to hang out by the courts outside what was Woolworths opposite Wimpy - but last time I passed through ( a few years back) it was all pedestrianised
  9. Probably true but most garages charge 2 - they must wait for every last drop of oil to dribble out of the sump

  11. I'm sure that engine with TT was up for £5k a while ago - if it is what they say then make a great start for someone - assuming it is all still serviceable the front IC is damaged to start with so would need a good going over.
  12. ive had the same thoughts and i think ekona is right a group of us are going for some proper training days no good having all the gear no idea! i am talking about myself there lol That's me that is All the gear and no idea Even going to build a tire rack and carry a spare set of slicks - my theory is if I look like a pro no one will have a go at me on track and if/when they go flying past I'll just cough and say shake down run and err need to bed in the new 5000hp engine (clear throat) cough - and suddenly spot something that needs my urgent attention somewhere else
  13. I am posting these on behalf of Firkindolloper due to a problem he has with uploading pics Please direct all enquirers to him I quote - Hi, I recently bought a set of rays from SamN on the forum and put new tyres on so the old scruffy alloys are taking up space in my garage. They could do with a refurb. The front tyres are fairly new budget ones and the rears are legal budget style. I am asking £100 ono with the buyer collecting or paying the shipping from sunny Poole, Dorset. End Quote As I say speak to Firkindolloper about these I'm just the messenger
  14. Nice one - just saved me £25 Got one yesterday - in store it is still £150 took it back today and said "online its £125" he said it's only £125 if you reserve online - they refunded the difference though O and I got one cause you can never have enough toys tools
  15. Looks superb, very nice indeed - I quite like the skulls as well Nice to be different.
  16. Suction cups can't be used on most track dyas - internally or externally - just in case you were thinking of using it for that
  17. I dunno if you noticed but he has moved 3 times in the last year each time he gets a bit closer - can't wait 'till the house next door comes up for sale
  18. Hey it's ok if they take out the 3 point turn - as long as handbrake turns and reverse J turning is now in
  19. Why not? Half the fun is building them AND I get to have a go at building this one Just hope Wasso's expectations are not to high - you know wanting the engine the right way round and that sort of thing
  20. Ahh the snapped bolt fun I had on my build - I wish you luck with that
