I thought I would share this with you all whether you are interested or not. Starting last year we extended the bungalow with a loft conversion with the intention of creating a 2 bed annex for my parents, without going into detail it is now, after 8 months of delays - A. Nearly finished B. Not needed So what to do with the extra space (3 rooms) The wife suggestions were - Library, Guest bedroom, Sewing room, 2nd living room, Coffee room, Gym, Spare guest bedroom, My suggestions - Man Cave, scalextric, car parts store, junk room. The result was - 1 Room - Library 1 Room - Guest Bedroom 1 Room - Man Cave I thought I did well to get one room to be honest Now onto the important room - of course certain restraints were placed upon me by "The Boss" so moving the workbench in from the garage was not going to get a thumbs up Also bear in mind that I don't want a bar (don't drink) or a show room - I want somewhere I can go and do those little projects (like rebuild a car dash) that the wife gets annoyed when you do it on the dining room table So an old birdseye maple wardrobe was moved in A quick redesign with some MDF and we have a stealth tool wardrobe Then a very old kitchen sideboard was covered to create a work bench 2 electric reclining chairs with no other home next Just need a nice engine block coffee table now. then you need the right sort of lighting - soon had that fitted of course it is remote controlled An old glass Shell petrol station sign was added and turned into a lamp starting to get there now with a 48" TV linked to the laptop the walls are reserved for some car related pics and bits I pick up on my travels may even get some stuff from my army days out (during the war ) To top it off Buster and Mrs Buster dropped off my birthday present last night - Cheers guys So that's it for now - Happy Holidays! Sneaky Bloody Russians - you have been spying on me !!!! Nice find - gonna make an offer as it's Green -
The 350 (above) was running just over 500WHP in the end - not a daily but that was more to do with suspension and setup than engine power - got about 17MPG but I never drove her with fuel consumption as a priority The 370 is running 440WHP at the moment and drives like stock - as Harryjax said after a passenger ride - does everything my 370 does - just quicker Easy car to have as a daily - if I'm honest I haven't even bothered working out the MPG but I know she will do the speedo (180mph) that won't be accurate mind you - that was tested out in Germany so speed wise she is well up with the big boys. Probably faster in a straight line than the 350 but on standard suspension no where near the cornering of the 350 but then you can drive the 370 all day and not get out half deaf needing dental surgery Horses for courses and all that so depends what you want out of a car, I had a 911 and I still prefer the 370

Who cares what the MPG is when they sound like this - Clicky to play ...

Buster had that problem with the non return valve - we didn't have a replacement so he ran a small drill bit through it - as far as I know it's still working
-
Don't you believe it - it's all the car I just go along for the ride - bit like a roller coaster really

Is this when we tell the story about the Rose Garden ( a house of ill repute just outside the army barracks in Belize) where we spent many a happy night taking advantage of the 2 for one weekday deals - not to mention the great relaxing massages they offered with a masseuse or four if you preferred and they would always ask "would you like extras" as they poured the warm oil Cause if it is that sort of thread A. I'm not posting in it and B. It will end up in the Green room

Hmm that's a hard one and some awesome stories already - For pain I will go with (yes Buster a "during The War story) - breaking both the tibia and fibula in my right leg - it wasn't the breaking it that was the pain it was having it reset 4 times with no anesthetic in the hospital. Which leads neatly onto the worst experience which was being kept in the afore mentioned hospital in Bosnia for four days where I caught 4 infectious diseases and nearly died, I was then casivac'd back to Blighty where they said 2 of the diseases were comon and not a particular problem (though they never said what they were) the other two they were not so sure about and would run tests................. I assume they were not happy with the results although again I was never told what they were all I know is I spent the next little while in a white room on my own with a big sign above the door that read "Quarantine" and a sign on the door that said "Contagious do not enter" Still they let me out in the end Ahh the good old days ....... we can look back and laugh now EDIT: O and from reading Wasso's story above I feel for ya mate - I had a dose of Arc Eye once from a faulty welding mask - like hot sand being poured in your eyes!! Don't want that again either!!!
