First off a huge hello to everyone that visited today, Harryjax, Jetpilot, Humpy and His good lady, Ash, Papa Smurf, Think that's everyone - it was a bit mad here Started early 9:45 (that's early for a Saturday this close to Christmas) HarryJax was already here to help so we layed out the carpet Pushed her in Then took stuff apart Until - Then we stripped some bits from the dead lump and put her back together, Grundy fell over Buster fell asleep And I have no idea what Harryjax did ? By 5:30 we were back to here - So we thought sod it lets get her running today and by 7:30 she was fired up - went first flick no issues I'll upload a before and after vid in a bit Extra special thanks to Dave for the massive assist - would not have got this far in a day without you mate - even if you did doze of once or twice Pics of the decimation in a mo Keyser and the Zed Shed crew (and HarryJax)

But what about the Zed?

Only thing I could suggest is the zorst has or is moving slightly - there is a heat shield just below the TB maybe just touching that? The engine will move on it's mounts slightly when accelerating so if the clearance is tight it may be enough to touch when under load Just a suggestion for something to look at mind

Best description of a V2 at idle I heard was, Put 2 shovels of sand and 2 of gravel in a washing machine and turn it on that's the noise a V2 makes when it's working properly Yes they are noisy at idle - setting the rpm to 950 (mine was 900) does help with the rattle but they are still noisy. The V3 although I only had mine for a couple of months was a lot (I mean substantially) quieter.

Good evening one and all welcome along for tonight's update - Act 1, Scene 2 QUINCE Is everyone here? BOTTOM You should call their names generally, one person at a time, in the order in which their names appear on this piece of paper.......................... O sorry, sorry everyone that was Shakespeare - A Midsummer Night’s Dream - you didn't come for that update Lets try again - Act 1, Scene 2 After a busy day yesterday collecting poorly Zed's the elves were up at 5AM Yes Grundy 5 bleeding AM!!!!!!! Bob did text you at 5.15 so you could share the experience and when we got no reply we were going to call you until we did, but the phone reception was not good out near Blandford - you lucky boy!! I digress, moving on the Elves drove to far of lands (Wales) and when they eventually got to the middle of nowhere at 8:20AM - We found we were the only ones there so we sat and enjoyed the weather This is what Santa's little helpers look like if you leave them out in the cold for half an hour But if you welcome them into your garage, show them some awesome cars and builds and give them a VQ35DE they soon cheer up Huge thanks to Lionel at for sorting us out and an honorable mention to Ian for sorting the engine and arranging a pre-Christmas collection We soon had that all tied on the sled and were on our way back to the sunny south Got all unloaded ready for Act 2 It is unfortunately at this point that our tale takes a turn for the worse and one poor lonely boys dreams may be dashed For it appears that after a mix up in Santa's groto only package 1 of 2 managed the sleigh ride to Santa's workshop - I immediately called the ghost of Christmas future (Tarmac) who said some words that could get this thread moved to the Green Room But what do you know after only another 3 hours on a completely different sleigh with a completely different Elf along came package 2 of 2 I would like to quote the second elf at this point, when asked how and why did the shipment get split up he replied "Mate the way the depot is at the moment they could manage to split up single shipments" So on that happy happy note I will leave you now for the interval which just leaves me to say - A Very Merry Christmas to you all - have a great time and we will be back to finish this tale very soon. You all forget who was driving on the road trip - He may have a new set but he no longer has the "spare" set @ Grundy - To be fair we collected the engine first and it was on the way back - Buster said thanks for covering the fuel though -
Really - do they fly over the Zed Shed then
-
It was all still in the box then Looking good
