PMSL - Sorry mate - it's probably as I know you survived with everything bar your pride intact but it did make me laugh Glad you are OK of course - we all do stupid things - there is a picture in my build thread of me after I forgot to put the top on my spray gun before taking it off the stand and emptying the contents over me Back on topic how are the modifications coming along?
-
Are you sure - the ebay advert? Handbrake is on the left (or do you mean some different pics?) OK you made me doubt myself so I had another look You were right about the Handbrake But is it me or is that Z backwards Also - and this really did my head in - the AC controls look right and it's been a while since i had a 350 but weren't the ignition barrels on the other side in a RHD???? I may just have inhaled to much fiberglass resin fumes though
-
Bit to low for me - not a fan of white wheels usually but they work and just for you
-
Nice Will look even better lowered on some fat rimms
-
Were they trying to appeal to the right hand drive market in those pics? Only looked at the 350 interior and the Z looked wrong then I realized they took the pic in a LHD and reversed in

Just a quick update on the Blue Peter Pillar Pod as I got a couple of hours in tonight After leaving it over night it looked the same in the morning - no big surprise there then Out to the Zed Shed Start with the rough edges that's a bit better Slap on the filler sand and slap on more filler Getting a shape I like Hope to start getting all the rough bits out tomorrow then onto primer (if the test fit is good)

Welcome to Blue Peter boys n girlz I wanted a pillar pod - all the "generic" ones look crap take a max of 3 clocks (I want 4) and they sit on the inside face of the pillar restricting vision - so I thought I could do better ................... Only thought mind you not sure if this is gonna work but it turned into an episode of Blue Peter First take out the OE Pillar - Duplicate it (here is one I prepared earlier ) now it got silly trying to line the pods up in the right place at the right angle and keep them there - ended up (Mrs Keysers suggestion) using drinking straws and masking tape little bit of fiber glass and resin to hold the first bits then it got really silly !!!!! Modified the straws with thin card and masking tape until I got the shape I was happy with To the man cave Start making the shape up in fiber glass left it here drying see what it looks like in the morning shall we??? I'll let you know if it ends up in the bin

As if I would make fun Wasso - Ian has a turbo so I'll give him the gold wrap on functionality - but it's you car if you want to put a gold wrap in there you do that it will be chavtastic Keep up the good work Ian - When you finish we can have a meet at Castle Combe and see how your 600+ HP turbo does against my miniscule 270hp NA

Here I go... probably about to put me foot straight in my mouth As I've described the car goes extremely lean at a certain RPM, much like the 'Muricans in the thread I've linked. I've latched on to the phrase boost/air leak as it was something that was suggested as a possible problem. If you do in fact have a boost leak (at least post MAF) then the air is not getting into the cylinders - in this case the engine should run rich as the MAP at that rpm on an FI car should be calling for more fuel I think the reason why I suggested it may be the CJM system is because previously it didn't retain the damper but looks to have been modified as per Adrian's post. Now this I can see where you are coming from poor fuel supply could result in lean burn - do you have a rising pressure fuel reg? Does it have a gauge it would be fluctuating if fuel pressure or supply was an issue? The injectors have a bad spray pattern but flow okay apparently. Bad spray or lack of atomization is more likely to result in some loss of power or at least not result in optimum power rather than causing a missfire - unless very extreme but I think earlier they were refered to as poor not unusable I have the Uprev GT and it was brand new. That should be what you need for the tune This has been an issue since the day it was tuned so I'd imagine the problem has been there since day 1 or it happened on the 40 mile journey to H-dev. So if the intake system tested fine when it was installed I doubt it's the problem, the filter too. So I see your frustration - I'd be looking at fueling and spark, Possible coil pack failure and /or plugs - I assume you are running 1 step colder? Have they been checked and if so do you know how they look? Coil packs you can swap around see if the problem moves or if you need to drop me a PM I'll lend you a set (think I have 6 spare) swap em all see if anything changes simple way to rule that out. Anything else you can tell us symptom wise - running hot, burning oil, smoke out the zorst smelling of petrol? - anything you noticed that might point someone in the right direction? Can't think of anything really useful to suggest at the moment

So sorry for your loss Will, Reminds me of the day our hamster passed away It was a tragic accident He fell asleep at the wheel ........................

Yes, Helping Wasso out with one of his bright ideas That's on pause at the moment while we wait for a slot in the garage where the new headers are to be made

As long as that reads Alt Belt and AC Belt not alternator and AC belt then you can do it in a day easy - done one alternator change on car - it's a real PITA can be done but not quickly Not used Mtec myself but couple of people have - not heard anything bad - which is good Drop me a PM if/when your thinking of dropping in we will see what's happening hopefully be able to accommodate
