WARNING POSSIBLE SCAM ON PH05 ROD...
Keyser replied to hairyman68's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
As Mr G said yes people do get scammed if no one did they would stop doing it - I very nearly got scammed on a trailer recently but backed out as I just thought something wasn't right - some poor sod may well have lost £7000 though - some of these scammers are bloody good at what they do! @OP - Hope you either didn't get scammed or get your money back mate. -
Captive audience - hate the places but will use them if I'm on a road trip - what else you gonna do. In fact the last one I went in there was a party at the food bar - I think one of the sandwiches was celebrating it's 14th birthday

^^^ It's a fair point - tripod is OK for a static job but not so much good for different angles also If I'm spraying I would have to move it as the over-spray fills the air - that's why everything in my garage has a green tint to it - ask DarrenB I also don't have the bacpack so I can't frame the shots with a GoPro - but you are right I grab the camera quite often one handed while holding/balancing something in the other hand often with gloves on not to mention paint, oil or filler all over my hands - snap a quick pic and carry on. Could probably go up to £50 I suppose and just try and take a bit more care of it and Wasso is putting in £3.99 so that will cover a 1kb memory card

That's a 3 line question that would take a book to answer To many variables at the moment. What Wheels do you have with what offset How low do you wanna go - slammed or just a bit lower Budget - so we can suggest coil overs or just lowering springs If you want to go real low you will need camber kits to get the wheels back in line 18 or 19" wheels - and what tyres - do you like stretch with stretch you can go wider before you need to roll the arches Give us some more details we can help out Also if you have a pic of what you want it to look like when it's done post that - again we can tell you what is needed to achieve a certain look or stance Also worth a search as lots of lowered Zed's on here - Buster's is pretty low
-
I have a GoPro did the time lapse on it got the Hero 3 Black - also use it for my track vids - I just need a cheapo point and shoot for the Zed Shed and general Projects the Cannon was over £500 with the lens - not going to get that covered in paint and crap - I'm thinking one of these shock proof ones might be the way forward. @ Octet - he came up with the idea on my build thread I'm just following up I recon he reads my thread and is never sure if my pics are blurry or he has had more wine than he thought - Andybp let the cat out of the bag when he said they all looked blurry to him - mind you he got dragged down the road by his Zed the other day - how do we know he is seeing clearly????
-
That's a possibility EDIT: O Hang on the budget is less than I thought see above
-
Errr I don't think he is gonna cover that I'll ask him on FB
-
£40 I recon - as my £20 specials are obviously not up to you lots high standards
-
OK Then you photo buffs I need a new camera as I am getting a large number of complaints about the photos in my build threads I don't know why I bother with you lot, you complain if I don't update you complain if I do Any way I need a new camera with the following criteria, 1. Must have macro as I do some close up shots of my work 2. must have flash as I do a lot of work in the evenings 3. Must make me look like David Bailey - not really but if you don't ask you don't get 4. Must be cheap - I have destroyed several cameras in the Zed Shed so I am not taking my Canon EOS out there!!! Also so Wasso can afford it 5. Must be digital so I can upload to keep you lot happy. That's about it - Last one cost £20 from Argos and is not very good one before that was £10 and lasted 2 nights before I binned it as it didn't take a picture you could use So come on what's the best budget bit of kit going to be????
-
I was just going to suggest that Mrs K take them from now on She took the one of the wheel out of focus :~P fair to say the camera is on it's way out
-
Hey now - I have been through at least 4 cameras taking pictures for my various build threads - I do have a very nice camera but after dropping one, painting one shut and jamming the shutter on another the good camera is not allowed in the Zed Shed by the boss The current camera sits around while I sand, spray, grind, weld and everything else so OK I'll admit it is probably close to the end for another one - but it will be another cheapo camera so don't expect the pics to get much better!
-
Just a quick one tonight as they are getting a bit Same old same old - imagine how Darren and Leon feel doing whole cars Started by gouging some holes in the bits where the fiber glass had air pockets or I just could not get the shape right then back to filler sand and another coat of primer Guess what I get to do next ................. Yup more sanding
-
^^^ You and me both - be just my luck if I tried to show off.
-
I got something light and powerful to replace my track Zed Other than that - what he said is spot on and I built a very track oriented Zed!
-
My dad used to fix them
-
Ref Colin above - I could be wrong I thought it was 15mm that caused the issue on the front and 20mm was OK I do know you can get an issue on standard 370 wheels though which will be what he is referring to I can't be sure anymore though as I have different wheels on now. It does make a difference to the look - I just lowered mine and had Jez at Horsham do a 4 wheel alignment - I was way out - now he has set it up though she drives like a dream again. I notice no change in the handling with or without the spacers though. @ Harryjax - as I said at the meet I have a set of 20mm on the wall in the Zed Shed if you want to try them and you can borrow a 25mm of mine as well if you just want to see what it looks like. You know where I am

I would say that is awesome mate But I'm not sure if I class as a model enthusiast - I like to look at them but not really made any since I was a schoolboy and before anyone reminds me I know that was a long while ago -
You may mock but I have ordered a square bubble for my level so it's easier to read

Sorry Leon just being a sod

Well it started like this got to here and has been under a tarp ever since All you need to do is get a model wrap it in an old blue tarp it would look just like it See it in the back - yes that is a mini under there -
