Sorry for the delay - had to eat Nom Nom - anyway on with the show Some of you (like Trig who I know can weld better than me) may have noticed the bird crap welding in some of the pics - This was down to my little 135Amp Mig just not having enough power to really get good penetration on such heavy metal - But my neighbour came round to see what I was up to and said "You wanna borrow my welder" he has a lovely new SuperMig 185 - "O yes" Says I Then I neatened up my welds and things were a lot easier Stripped out and back in the Zed Shed Strung up for a spot of paint Then out in the sun to dry The legs got a coat of yellow so they stand out as they will now remain in the trailer All back in and looking good Starting to load her up - The tyre rack takes all 6 spares that's a full set of slicks plus 2 spare rear wets Takes 2 of us about 10 mins to remove or install the 5 parts - 5 parts to make them an easy 2 man lift. With a track day on Tuesday - although the forecast is not good I had only this weekend to get my trailer kitted out, I have been meaning to do it since the beginning of the year but have just not had time, it was the trailer or the Ace Cafe this weekend and it wa a tough call but I had to get this sorted so - Here is my lovely Brian James RS3 trailer as it was at the beginning of the weekend Great to get the car in but no room for spares so after some very careful measurements (I hope they are right or the car ain't gonna fit I started with an angle bracket (it has to clear the roof and the hydraulics) Then some legs First cross bars Test clearance Roof down Of course to make sure it wasn't easy I needed to make it removable so I can take it out if I want to move other cars around, Bit more fabrication on the tyre rack Then a tool box/fuel can shelf was added First bolt up More after I sort the photos

Just had a look at them on the website - yes just let the curve cup the jacking point bump - that's how I do it
-
Nothing just some cloud then a bit od slightly darker cloud then back to cloud - So disappointing - we really needed the sun to come out and clear the cloud of so we could see the sun not being there ???

NEVER only rely on a trolley jack - just my advice. If you jack up a Zed using the main jacking points which is the diff (UK) at the back and the front cross member you can then place an axle stand under the "flat tyre jacking point" you will find them under the sill a bit in front of the rear wheel and a bit behind the front wheel - follow the lip at the bottom of the sill along and you will see a "bump" put the axle stand there with the V at the top in line with the car. Good luck

What feedback have you had after taking someone for a spin

One comment I liked was after taking Harryjax out in my SC 370 as he has an NA 370 upon return from our little drive out he said - "doesn't do anything mine won't do" ......... "It does do if faster though" -

Loads and loads Starting at the beginning so to speak -

Hey how far away do you live - I'm sure we just had a chicken on a reconnaissance mission into our garden! I thought it may be the next door neighbors but then having read this I did wonder if it was yours??????

Glad it is sorted - just a thought it may be the door sensor if it is intermittent, the one just below the door catch on the car - bit of black rubber - if that gets dirty, wet or corroded it won't ground cleanly so the window motors do not get the signal to know the door is open. May be worth a look if the problem returns Hope it all stays fine though

I'd be looking at doing an oil change on the gearbox and adding some molyslip - the whining could be the wrong oil or maybe low oil (although unlikely unless the gearbox has been damaged) Defo worth asking if it's covered by warranty though:thumbs:

I'd check the fuse as well - if it went down, made a noise then went up and stopped it may have jammed or tried to go to far and popped a fuse.

24th at Castle Combe is my next run - as long as she is ready in time

Nice looking Zed to the mad house.

I think it's just a reflection, well I hope it is the rest looks great.
-
That was the only bad one - did you not notice how good the rest were??? No blue tinge in focus etc etc - it is a new camera donated by Harryjax - thanks mate Just for you mate

Replacing the sensor's will make no difference AFAIK - its the test equipment that is giving the high reading. Yes common of HFC's - only advice is rag the car for a bit before the test - get here really hot the CAT's are more efficient when hot. If that fails PM me I have another solution

Next was the lights - drivers side again opseee What is left of the indicator Indicator used to look like this The headlight survived but is only hanging on by a wire The indicator has been repaired before With a bit from a milk bottle I think So I thought some LED's would look good and got these from eBay Back on the lathe (over engineering a solutions so I can play ) Made these up trimmed and drilled new mount fitted other side done to match Oil change and that annoying oil leak next Keyser and the Zed Shed Crew

Pre Track Season Prep / Running Repairs. My first track day is booked and the Radical has been sat on the trailer pretty much since the last outing early in December last year, so now I have the garage back for a couple of weeks and only 2 weeks before I am on track I thought I'd get on with a few bits to get her ready for the next outing. First on my list was to repair some damage I sustained during my visit to the infield on my last outing My brake cooling duct on the drivers side is no longer connected It's supposed to look like this but it's just floating around now as you can see the CF is badly damaged It has ripped out from here So I got onto the Radical site - a new one is only £200.00!!!!! So as I now have a lathe Lets see what we can do Scrounged this for the scarp bin at my mates engineering shop Lets get on with it then Spot on onto the inside The finished article trimmed the damaged CF and joined them up Back on the car pipework hooked back up Next (makes the lathe a cheap tool with just that one repair 0
