  1. You are probably about right on your estimate, I think Abbey used to knock off 35 or so for wheel bhp.
  2. But that proves the point, all you are doing is making the seat look nice, its not going to condition or moisturise the leather as it will not penetrate the clear coat - which is the claim on the front of the product you have in the photo. You can add protection to the clear coat but its temporary and to be honest you are better off just using some leather wipes to wipe down the seat much more frequently rather than having a residue sat on the seats which comes off and you then leave the seat uncleaned for weeks/months on end thinking the 'treatment' has done some sort of long term job. But as I say each to their own in terms of looking after their car if it works for you then it works If there are lots of cracks appearing in the leather conditioner products like these do not help the cause, you can hide the cracks with a leather colourant but ultimately you should be looking at a refinishing.
  3. Its sits on top of the sealant, doesn't go into the leather and comes off pretty quickly - sure it smells nice but thats all part of the sales pitch There was a discussion on this on another thread somewhere (no time to go find it) with Illogikal etc and if you google modern leather car seats its all there on wiki etc showing that these products don't do anything because they cannot penetrate modern sealants. But yes, I agree, they smell nice
  4. Worth noting that the leather stuff doesn't actually do anything. All modern leather seats come pre-treated and sealed
  5. Hi, welcome along. The mystical and wonderful Zed Shed is owned by a rather talented chap on here @Keyser but its not a business its his own personal indulgence in the world of Zeds. I am sure he will be along shortly...
  6. Most people in the UK are freaked out by mileage - living in France where people drive freely across Europe and think nothing of 1000 mile road trips 90k would be seen as quite normal. Small island mentality unfortunately (not a dig at you by the way!). Its a big old V6 that works around the 2000-4000 rev range most of the time, its hardly stressed, so as above, look at condition.
  7. Which one is in the best condition? Which one has a documented history of work done and services (brakes/clutch/tyres etc)? Have mentioned this a few times to new buyers but tax cost really is irrelevant - if a couple hundred quid is a serious consideration as to buying one car over the other you should be more worried about the cars history as a clutch change and new brakes will cost you well north of £1000 - hell your first full fill up of super unleaded will be around £90.
  8. Cover it in post it notes? https://youtu.be/Kqf-DaQcb8o

  10. Click on Forums on the left and then search through to the buyers guides, its all there, a good bit of lunchtime reading to help you make your decision.
  11. But given that most religions central imperative is to convert non believers - do non believers not have to have something to argue against a religious conversion i.e. observable evidence as an example?
  12. ...goes over to Google to find the next 'end of the world' date to stick in the diary. Dare we say religion has many more failed assumptions than science it would seem
  13. Fortunately the West Ham match is the early kick off, didn't want to miss it... If it happened right now you would have a right to feel aggrieved in Bora Bora where its still Friday - a whole extra day taken away that the rest of the world got
  14. See I would go completely the other way. A couple of years back my neighbour noted that I spent every weekend outside cleaning my car, interior, keeping it immaculate. She had an 15 year old + BMW convertible 3 series. Probably worth about a grand I thought, it was covered in all sorts of welded on crap, hood had moss etc. Turns out she bought the car new and was the only owner, she loved the car but car washes never worked on it. So I offered to detail it for her, the look on her face when she came out after I get it back to pretty much brand new was amazing she couldnt stop saying thank you, even rang her brother up who then drove over from an hour away to come and look. Clearly the car meant a lot but she didnt have the knowhow to go to a detailer. I couldnt imagine getting the same satisfaction cleaning a supercar and have the owner waltz back in throw me a £20 tip without so much as a second look and just drive off...

    Evo 2017 Tyre Test

Or the guy doing the test would subjectively give them lower scores than the MPS4 because subjectively he had already in advance of the test come to a subjective conclusion on what tyre will win anyway...
  16. Easy enough to swap two OEM seats out - in fact they are probably the frost grey which are quite rare, you might be able to swap them with someone for black with a few quid coming your way as well
  17. The blue does pop out a bit more from looking black in reality than in photos
  18. The worst car buying decision you can make is to buy one car over another based on its colour...
