  1. I cannot believe anyone with a decent running car looks online and prices their car up half the price of the next cheapest one, if there was nothing wrong with it. Not unless of exceptional circumstance like leaving the country tomorrow and needs it gone.
  2. No service history. Just quickly looked up the MoT history and it has failed every first MoT for the last 5 years. Looks badly cared for, getting pulled up for bald tyres, suspension issues, always failing emissions, wipers, headlights fails among many other things. I 'suspect' but happy to be proven wrong, its engine isn't well looked after unlike the rest of the car?
  3. Loved the red on the old VX though
  4. Yes the lorry launch is one I was more interested in! If they can provide a lorry that can react to speed changes better than they do now - also I noticed it had anti jack-knifing technology, all useful stuff. Given the billions of taxpayers dollars that have kept Elon afloat the last ten years, about time he knocked up something useful
  5. Therein lies the problem, the guy talks about noise and fun, you respond about acceleration and G-forces. The two are not the same - for many people they can have as much fun on a track in an MX5 as a GTR. If everyone on here felt driving was all about the power they would be buying turbo Supras. Its probably why there is so little enthusiasm on this forum for your passion for EVs. Sure I bet there is a bit of woah sitting in one and launching, but thats probably 1% of a driving experience for me, I guess its much more of the experience for you.
  6. The wonderful thing about roadsters is that when you take the top down you experience the visceral of sound...well, in most you do. As per all the other EV stuff, numbers do not impress me, theatre does - the constant absence of that makes them not worth the effort. Unless i want a car to drive from A-B in a sensible dull fashion of course Pretty sure will get one at some point in the future when I dont have to remortgage to get one but for fun, not a chance.
  7. I guess its a good buy if you are just looking for a shell to drop new running gear and engine into as a bit of fun - but otherwise why take on all the hassle. I am with the doc on this, if it was fixable the dealer would fix it and sell it at a better price, clearly there is substantial issues with it and wouldnt expect to spend peanuts on it and pat yourself on the back for having done over the dealer...
  8. To compound it, in theory, you could be standing on the bottom of the planet - depending on where in space you are looking at it from
  9. If you are driving on a northerly directional road, then its quite legitimate to have a sign saying 'To the North' at any point though right? Until you clear the North Pole in which case signs should be 'To the South'
  10. Physical age or mental age? I mean that sincerely, as I think it requires a bit of maturity - the 'kid' that bought my zed I preached to for about 30 minutes about how to drive it assuming he knew nothing, turns out he is in the army and drives challenger tanks
  11. Might need a few thousand pounds worth of repairs for all we know if its smoking/engine light on - tread carefully!
  12. Works for me, on my laptop, you trying it on mobile Stu?
  13. She was born February 1995 in a factory in Japan
  14. Drum roll and a big applause please for two new members of the moderating team. Rabbitstew and Zippypooz are both long term members of the forum and have both kindly agreed to help keep the forum running smoothly and generally be a great place to be for all of you. Welcome to the team both, and remember, don't press the big new red button that appears in the top right hand side of the page
  15. Welcome along! I think with that many 6s in the car you were doomed For your parts list, have a look through the traders on here, Tarmac, Torqen, Cougar Store, Horsham Dev, Abbey etc can all source you parts/fitting at competitive prices.
  16. The guy that bought my Zed brought the cash in a brown bag, it was a fair amount of money. He turned up with a mate and we literally walked to the bank together and I got him to pay the cash into an account of my choosing. The bank then checked all the notes and the money was safely tucked away when I handed over the keys. Clearly if the guy is dodging tax maybe he wants cash that doesn't touch any banking channel. As Dan said get receipts, clear written agreement on any work done that is part of the sale, that the car when sold has no major faults/noises etc. Just cover yourself as much as possible which you should do for any purchase really.
