  1. Bottom Live off script is quite simply the funniest stuff you can watch, the genius of Rik Mayall. Taken far too young. Not on Dave but try get hold of Early Doors, great comedy and kick started a number of careers including James McAvoy. OFAH is still the benchmark, I still watch it over and over...Andy Warhol said everyone would be famous for 15 minutes, just like Ghandi, I mean he made one film and you never heard from him again!
  2. Also what is pertinent I'd now that an independent space programme is also in space how comes they are not coming back with flat earth revelations? Or are they also on the books of the great conspiracy?
  3. I guess the more pertinent question is how do you explain the millions of videos that show stuff disappearing over the horizon even with good quality zoom imagery cameras?
  4. Have you independantly gone and found the images of Jupiter from 14 and 16 from an objective source to confirm this statement? Or are you only looking at ones that are on conspiracy websites?
  5. Oil leaking through whilst idle and burning through when starting up?

    OBD2

As with anything the max BHP is just pub bragging rights, area under the curve is much more important i.e. your bhp uplift at every rpm point.
  7. Some cars by default you kind of have to. The VX220s were notorious for it, as sliding over the bolster/lip meant most were worn/split. Thats natural materials for you, they do just wear and fade although appreciate the OPs one has happened quickly...
  8. Ace is fine for various club meets just avoid arriving for general stuff as it's often full of the like you see above.
  9. I thought diesel only came along en-mass because of all the media hype around the ozone layer and CO2 some years back. That we had to reduce CO2 so diesel replacing petrol made all the sense in the world. Ignoring the fact that it was pumping out nitrogen oxide which because it wasn't on the hit list was ignored as a potential problem. All so daft really!
  10. Are diesels dying though because the of the scandals and that governments are looking to tax the crap out of them. Certainly they made sense in terms of better mileage etc. for your average punter.
  11. I go to Ace about 6-7 times a year, with this club, with others etc. I am young at heart (I drive a turbo 4 pot that is loud and brash) but I find some lads driving like this at Ace utter prats if I am honest. I have met also some lads in their early twenties in turbo cars etc. at Ace who look at people like the above and just shake their heads in shame. We can all put our foot in and smoke it if we want, takes zero skill to do that. What it does though is bring unwanted police attention and the constant threat of Ace being closed down to car meets - its idiots like those in the video who wouldn't give two hoots if Ace got closed down to car meets and go do it somewhere else, but for proper car people we do care.
  12. But Bob is the principle data controller of that footage, he has actual eye witnesses. Much like NASA and astronauts, they took the footage and have thousands of witnesses to it. They also planned and released details of how they achieved what they achieved. The majority of conspiracy videos are people who were not there, finding stuff on the Internet with no credibility, then posting it as their own alongside coincidental evidence and asking people to disprove them as if they have proven something - which they havent. The Snopes page clearly shows how easily explainable that particular video is, so it's up to the video maker to counter that, which of course they can't because they don't own the knowledge and it's something they made up sat in their bedroom. Confirmation bias is a very important concept to understand as it is prevalent in a lot of conspiracy theorists. Glaring holes in theories like flat earth such as constellation positions are continually ignored and not addressed. Gravity is solved by inventing something with no actual evidence at all and in fact makes no sense as if the age of the world were true then the constant acceleration would now have the planet travelling at something like ten thousand times the speed of light...which would lead to some interesting phenomenon here on earth. Of course there is a slight of hand here by conspiracy theorists, they push people away from critiquing their theories and into debate around, quite frankly, dross like that video.
  13. Wrapping would be the chosen way forwards I think. Zippypooz is a member on here did my Celica roof he is down a little way past Gatwick. You could have a go yourself but its not as easy as it looks! Also wraps need to be properly cured otherwise they will lift very quickly. Also check the brand of the vinyl, quality differs by some way good brands are 3M and Avery for instance. Make sure if you go that route you find out what brand is going on.
  14. Hydro dipping is quite expensive, and to dip something that size, cannot be many businesses around that have a tank big/deep enough! I got a quote to dip two small parts of my dashboard which is about 1/20th the size of a bonnet and was quoted over £100.
  15. I do find it all rather ironic that people who believe those astronauts died, or that the world is round because thousands of sources tell you so, are deemed close minded. But are told this by those who blindly believe some junk found on the internet which is produced by even more closed minded people. If an alternative theory is put forwards it needs to be more than an 8 minute video put together by a 12 year old sat bored in their bedroom googling stuff. None of that video shows evidence that has been robustly found, proven, QC'd, peer reviewed etc. Have a read https://www.snopes.com/politics/conspiracy/challenger.asp To be quite frank, if someone did somehow put something on YouTube that was a revelation, it would be 'removed' very promptly. I find videos like that more humorous than insightful.
  16. Holly Thread Revival! Did anyone take in S2? I watched the last episode last night and found it very good fun, properly had me belly laughing. In terms of the rest of the series a few highlights but quite a lot of lowlights. I have taken to just skipping the chatter in the studio and forwarding to the actual car footage. Liked the Jaaaags episode and loved the episode where they caught the frisky couple in their car for real up a mountain road! An improvement on S1 but not by much?
  17. I wont be able to make this unfortunately as already have a road trip in the diary but do enjoy everyone, if its anything like Coventry last year it will be a cracking day and evening and a great chance to meet your fellow car enthusiast
  18. If they are not the original factory wheels then yes they are a mod and must be declared.
  19. Was only joking on the Celica front They are good for about 330bhp on a standard block beyond that they get a bit unhappy so would need an engine rebuild with stronger internals. R33 GTR is massively tunable and still affordable. R32s are still skyrocketing in price. If you could sneak in a TT Supra that would be a tremendous!
  20. Wow look forward to the next project Bri. Celica ST205 for the win
  21. Look in the Scotland area of the Events forum you should see a few trips organised previously with details - I attended the one organised by Irn Bru in 2016
  22. Haha FB all over again. Definitely Orange
