  1. Funny thing is I just googled F-Type and sat back and enjoyed what I could see, its like AM have tried to add some grrrrr to it and failed. The front just gets it all wrong for me. Inside is horrendous, rear quarters look good though.
  2. Congrats, be good to see the car in natural light would love to see the wrap properly. Good list of mods too - although would take a second look at those mintex pads, they are pretty cheap and I have heard perform as such! Has it got a remap on the ECU? With the spacer and presumably bigger/freeflowing exhaust you could improve the drive with one...
  3. May I ask, how on earth did that happen?!
  4. Heres the old girl, 23 years old and hanging in there
  5. Yes, Dan would buy a 911 over all of those - we discussed it on about our 9th beer at Coventry last year!
  6. It's up to 4.2k with just over a day to go - what do we think people, what will it go for?
  7. If its orange and it has a humongous wing then its alright by Dan...
  8. What wrap is going on the body?
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mercedes-Benz-sl350-2004-awesome-jaw-dropping-looks/123188260476 Apparently turns heads everywhere it goes it's that good...
  10. To add, he did the roof on my Celica, with the added bonus of working around a sunroof and a roof which doesn't have a clean tidy edge to it like the Zed. Fantastic job and it is certainly withstanding the test of time, no lifting, bubbling or anything through both hot sun and that cold winter we just had
  11. What happened, did people just give in
  12. If waxing is something you like to avoid then wash the car with Gyeon Bathe+ it lays down a hydrophobic layer that works like a wax just by washing the car and is miles better than any wash/wax efforts out there (and gets the Ilogikal stamp of approval too). GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour is amazing stuff if you dont mind throwing a bit of cash at looking after the wheels. There are forum traders that sell stuff, you can also use Polished Bliss which has free postage. Don't walk into Halford's and buy a basket full from there (autoglym and Megs is mostly bang average), about 95% of the stuff is a waste of time, most things worth having aren't sat on the shelf there.
  13. Great pics! Did you get any of the scruffy old red Toyota?
  14. Maybe go back have a chat with Tarmac?
  15. Junction 17 are terrible, a littered history of bad experiences with them across so many forums. If you buy the car and its fine then no problem, but if you take one back then the problems start they do not fulfill their commitments - google it and I am sure you will turn up enough horror stories!
  16. Are you buying the car to play around with for 6 months or you looking for a keeper? Clearly if you want to sell on quickly try and aim for sales points and mileage comes in to that equation (UK buyers are a fickle bunch) but most importantly aim for condition, check all the basic things like clutch changes, common fails being fixed etc. as many can be big numbers to fix. If you do find a few cars post them up and ask as even if they are sat on a dealers forecourt it could have been a member that chopped it in there so you can get some background on it. Also get some beer tokens in and always ask for support from the forum, some one local might come along and take a look at one with you.
  17. I am also away on this date - otherwise would be there again. It was a FANTASTIC event last year, I would really recommend anyone with a zed go along and enjoy the super friendly atmosphere and fun and laughs and of course gawp at other cars. So please don't dawdle, stick your name down, let Andy know and go enjoy a great day out.
  18. Saw Andy's bumper yesterday and it is spot on. Personally if I am working on a project put money aside for what things cost, pay the money, reduce stress. What you don't want is something that fits so badly you end up wasting months trying to get your money back, losing money paying for postage and the like and ending up back where you started. I have seen so many bad parts an no story ends well.
  19. Thanks for organising Martin, great to see some familiar faces and catch up Look forwards to Black Swan meet Steph! After 4th August please!
  20. I will be contaminating the Z gene pool, see you all later...

    New Mats

I bought a set of these direct from the supplier - very friendly bunch, they have just set up and saw an article in Jap Perf Mag. Depth of the weave is much deeper than cloth and its much more durable (as its effectively rubber spaghetti) - it is really soft underfoot and cleaning is very easy you just shake them and then rinse them down they dry pretty quickly outside. Makes perfect sense really, cloth mats wear quickly and discolour these are much more durable. Happy with mine so far!

    Audi TTS

Hensh is the member, couple of vids, clearly not a fair comparison as weather is not great and favours AWD (but hey it rains in England a fair bit!) but you can see on the one from inside the Zed how quickly it pulls. https://youtu.be/89g8vLwhPt4 https://youtu.be/0GSqJegU4Go Personally I would say forget about the hairdresser thing and go test drive some. Apparently the handling on the RS is a step above, but then so is the price with another 60% + on top.
