  1. I recommended a Panasonic Lumix to my parents and they got one for their travels and love it, having had a go myself think its a fantastic piece of kit. Bang for your buck they give a lot for the money you pay.
  2. 16 mins to go and its at 5.5k!
  3. Happy to give you some tips, im a budding photographer and have spent hours poring over different ones from SLRs to Bridging Cameras (which sounds like the type you might be after? If so look at the Panasonic range, from about £200 to £300 with a built in zoom lens up to about x12 optical zoom, ignore most cameras offering more via digital zoom it just ruins the photo). Just heading out now but will be on here tomorrow...drop me a PM with the things you want on it, what you want to use it for and your budget and I can suggest a few.
  4. The pollen really shows up on my black Zed, within minutes, but then again what doesn't on black... ...which is easily the coolest and fastest colour.
  5. I just bought a 2004 car, things I am paying out for now... - CV Joint, clicky problem as mentioned before, rear axle clanks as the car pulls away or goes into reverse. Expect to pay £300ish from Alex on here for a replacement. - Clutch has gone on mine at 44k miles, looking at £600 in replacement parts again from Alex. Also as mentioned on the site, check for failed windows. For that money as well you should be looking at Rays Alloys (they are 6 spoke forged alloys - they look more curved than the ones on your link, much better than the 6 spoke on your link). Noticed that the link you supplied the guy had not put the mileage down? Just make sure as well that there is a fully Nissan serviced stamped book, there are links on this site showing when and what services it should have had to date you can reference to. Also, I would check the recommendations from the previous MoT, things like tyres or exhaust problems.
  6. I have been an immigrant in another country before, twice in fact, how do you define an immigrant? There always seems to be a generalization and putting foreigners into one box and this 'closing of the borders' type approach, but how do you classify an immigrant? I would say when I lived in Japan and in France I brought rich, rare and important skills to their country they wouldnt otherwise have had, but hey that's just me being modest
  7. Geographically I am closeby, in Putney, time wise I am about an hours drive!

  9. aaaaah thats why, oh well. Once I have recovered from paying £300 for an axle fix, £640 for a new clutch, £400 for new tyres I might consider looking at the stereo!

  13. Well I can add that half the speakers in my car have now blown up due to the extra power coming through the iPhone via the adapter!
  14. Why stop there? Just go the whole hog and have a... VXR Supercharged Twin Turbo NOS powered 1500bhp Nurburgring 3mins 14secs ...sticker on the back?
  15. Its the picture with the spoiler, good god that has to be the worst monstrosity of a car I have seen in many a day. Utter garbage.
  16. Haha saw two orange Zeds in quick succession! I was a bit late spotting them up though so wasnt waving Saw a very nice import Silver roadster (F1 in the number plate) parked up in Falmouth on Monday, I parked opposite, when I returned it was still there.
  17. Haha I saw you on the A35 when I was heading home today! Recognised the number plate (after looking at your cleaning thread in general) before I noticed it was attached to a zed else I would have waved enjoy your trip Saw a couple of orange Zeds actually! Literally 10 minutes apart going the other way on a dual carriageway I think it was?
  18. Bloody hell rotten day mate. No point trying to talk to police nowadays, they are nothing more than call centre operators in a uniform reading from a script. I wish they would though along with traffic wardens at least try and hide their happiness at their fringe benefits of nicking people. I mean, we know we've done wrong but no need to be smiling like a cheshire cat and talking to you like a 10 year old whilst writing the ticket out.
  19. I am actually finding myself driving SLOWER now I have this, I almost don't feel the need to give it the boot when I know it will blow away chaff like 318's etc. Any reason to drive it and I am out there and away 'need something from the supermarket hon?' - 'ok let me go get it for you...' Walking towards the house last night and saw a guy with his girl slowing right down to have a look at it as well, just had a proper shine wax clay etc so was looking mint. She seemed utterly unimpressed as he walked at snails pace having a look at it...!
  20. Two black aluminum tax disc holders = £40 Black front and back badges = £45 Stubby aerial = £10 iPhone holder = £10 Cassette to iPhone adapter = £15 . . . Rear Axle Click fix = £300 New clutch and flywheel to come = £600 Replacement front bumper to come = £150 circa? New tyres on the rear = £200 The fixes are far outweighing the mods at the moment!
  21. Spotted, parked up and looking absolutely stunning ... oh it's mine! Happy St Georges day everyone!
  22. I have accidentally put Super Resin Polish on a carbon fiber wrap and it leaves a nasty white stain across it. Solved the problem with some boot polish But ultimately yeah that wrap didn't like the white resin polish!
  23. I had the clicky back axle problem, try pulling away in higher revs in first, stopping hard on the brakes then putting it in reverse and pulling away - that usually gets it clanking away. My brother had a look at mine and saw that there was no movement on the inner axle but a bit on the outer part so we needed a replacement CV joint. Alex will sort you out a replacement CV part for the clanking if it is the rear axle problem. Really annoying after a while and well worth getting it sorted out.
