  1. Mine is insured with Diamond under my wife with me as a named driver, we always insure our cars this way. Job description can have a huge impact, have you changed jobs? I put down 'Director' which is my job level at the office but when I changed this to 'Consultant' which is my actual job title it took £150 off the price!
  2. I got a dragons head on my right arm, cool thing about it was that I got it done when I was in Tokyo
  3. I bought mine from Coventry, so forked out the train fare. There was one much closer but had extra mileage etc - it is fun on the drive back
  4. Supplied pads should work fine, or some padded double sided tape does the trick can be bought from halfrauds etc. Just whack four or five vertical lines of it along the back and pop it on.
  5. I dunno though, two Bridgestones at £60 + £16 postage is pretty good value if you just need something to get you through the next few months isn't it? Four new tyres, even your premium economy types like Falken 452s will set you back circa £500.
  6. Im no expert mate, I got about 2mm left on my rears but as long as I dont smoke 'em from the lights(!) I want them to last another two-three months and swap mine over in June/July. Pretty sure there are more informed members on here than me though...
  7. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=157&t=38270 Alex has a set of bridgestones on here £30 a tyre? 3mm tread...
  8. I actually came across this link on some google searching, quite a useful link if you are mechanically minded and need a bit of help http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Clutch_Installation
  9. This is coming up Saturday, saw Alex say that someone who has experience can do a clutch change in 2 hours...that would be nice if my dad and I can get somewhere near that with some pointers!
  10. ...and I live there as well remember Wandsworth is a big borough, Club UK is in a rather dodgy part, under a tower block if I remember rightly? Whereas if you were in Wandsworth Common area (I mean housing/bars and not wandering the common at night with a pink carnation) you are neighbours with Gordon Ramsey and probably in a £1m+ house...Putney is great, another famous resident who lives 3 streets from me is a politician, Nick Clegg! But again a 2 bed house with a small garden is going to set you back around £550k-£600k

Sorry chaps was in a meeting that dragged, reception was fine in and around town. Only time it struggled was when I was on country roads in cornwall where it only auto picked up channels like Radio 1. Generally though no problems at all with mine, still listen to Absolute radio as I drive round the M25 etc.
  13. I was joking, I am a relatively slow driver I actually enjoy making the journey a longer one with some leisurely driving interspersed with a quick throttle to overtake then calm down again.

Get one of these, looks great, cheap and fits very nicely, even better than the S2000 ones that have been touted around. Pics of it on mine at the bottom... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=48824
  15. Tried Datchet but a little too quiet for out liking, although that is only inbetween the aircraft flying some 500ft above our heads We are going to look at a place in Eton next week, 3 bed house with views of the river, 5 min walk to the station. Liking that a lot actually. My dream has been a bit shattered though as there is no parking immediately outside so cleaning the car is going to be a bucket carrying job still, but the house is very nice. Just would be nice to be able to get a pressure washer and various other electrical plugged in devices to use on cleaning the car as I do it once a week and it takes about three hours each time. Council tax isn't that bad by all accounts, obviously depends on the property but having lived in SW15 which comes under Wandsworth council tax (hurrah £600 a year!) I am hoping to get another low on. Will take you up on that drive Octet, if you can keep up
  16. Hmmm, interesting that they quote a figure of increased deaths, not quite sure how that came about? A blocked wiper water pipe might be an inconvenience and on a rare occurance might cause an accident its not really a killer on the road, other stuff like faulty CV joints and clutches on the way out that are more dangerous yet these pass through an MoT no problem. MoT's are not really the solution to safer cars, they are more like a check to make sure the basics work - my dad is a car mechanic and he has noted that service intervals of cars over the years is more the problem. People are skipping services or simply waiting until something goes wrong structurally or mechanically before getting it done, much more dangerous but again something that an MoT really does little to influence.
  17. Cheers pal, looking for that sort of feedback at the moment as it is a big step to move a fair distance from friends etc. We did actually spot a couple leave a house on a road we were looking at some places on and Rebecca just grabbed them and grilled them with twenty questions about the area. They seemed to love it too, plenty of things to do etc. ...and yeah be nice to be able to fire up the Zed and just get on a country road very quickly, not quite so possible in zone 2 of London!
  18. Ah ok, is removing it a 'faff'?
  19. Wife and I have been looking around for about six months for an area to move to where we can afford to buy a house...we live in Putney in a rented place, thats a no unless you win a million. Richmond, no. Chiswick, No. Twickenham, no, unless you live in a stix a bit. Then we went for a coffee yesterday just to kick back relax and jumped a train to Windsor. Stunning place, and even more suprising as we passed an estate agent its totally affordable. I cannot explain how excited we are...
  20. Havnet driven mine since last Thursday when it limped back from Cornwall. I went out and turned it over yesterday for a few minutes and cleaned the interior...
  21. Tempting, only problem is that I cannot park my car near my house, so I cannot get a hair dryer or anything like that near it to stretch the vinyl...
  22. Looks similar to what I am experiencing. Biting point is almost all the way up when releasing the clutch peddle, when I give it some boot it revs up then comes back then starts to build. Clutch Kit and Flywheel ordered from Sir Alex and getting installed on Saturday, so no car until then.
  23. Awesome price, awesome car. Jealous of whoever snaps that up.
  24. Any views on a good machine polisher to buy? I dont want to go crazy and spend £100+ on one as I am currently recovering from a Clutch purchase...
  25. I'm wondering if I could just vinyl wrap in black? Have a go myself? I would like to do quite a few parts of the interior, to get someone to do it would cost a couple of hundred I suspect which is why an easy to stick on kit appealed somewhat.
