Its a vinyl material that is literally wrapped over the car. Go to you tube and type in car wrap and you will see examples. Cheaper and quicker than stripping back a car, priming painting etc. Longevity wise some come with 10 year guarantees I think.

Can often get dust in the seat switches which causes problems - I found tapping mine lightly with a hammer cleared it but do try clear out that area best you can see if that helps. Cannot help on the leather issue, not heard of that before.

I am hoping to swap, but also tempted to go for a reupholster to something unique that I design. The leather itself is in very good condition though, so would probably prefer for now to swap.
