Approaching Chiswick roundabout - was following you this morning briefly before I pulled into work. I had just turned around on the Great West Road, witnessed two accidents within 30 seconds as I waited as well! One car drove into the back of another, then the person that cut across the two of them that caused it turned back to give them abuse and he also then drove into the car in front of him...very bizarre.

A mate and I went up to Rockingham Saturday morning and back in the afternoon after a drive experience (Aston for me Atom for him). Spotted a plethora of Zs, so if you saw two guys in a blue Renaultsport Clio waving now you know why. Saw a couple of Azures, one on the M1 going northbound just by Luton around 1:30pm? Another parked up in Ealing by the North Circular about 2:15pm. Saw a Blade also driving quite close to Rockingham, heading towards Corby maybe? Also saw a GM heading northbound I think on the M1 maybe a bit further up near Northampton probably around 12ish.

That was the point really, gutted I lost mine so hopefully others don't suffer the same fate!

Was it mechanical failure? If it's file system then give me a PM and I'll see if you can recover anything Thanks mate, it was mechanical, it utterly corrupted (probably my fault I rarely closed down the laptop properly just closed the lid and never used it on a flat surface) even when trying repair disk utility it couldn't even find the disk at all. Its in the repair shop now having an upgraded HD put in...

..I lost about 2 months worth of stuff when my Mac Pro hard drive went pop last night - including every picture I have taken of my new Z and from the meet at the Grasshopper recently. I do have a backup from early March but wish I had done it at least monthly. So - might be a little project for you to spend half hour backing stuff up tonight - worth it, just in case.

Roof looks Bonnet, should look nice but I think wrapping the front part of the bumper doesn't work so well abnd takes away from it somewhat. But it's your car, not happy with it, just whip it off.

I'm a bit of an Aston fan, and am off to Rockingham tomorrow for a whizz round in one. Hope I dont have any nutter R8s on there with me!

I guess near where I live if you do on the rare occasion get to 30mph you have had to hit the brake before you have had a chance to change up

...needed a mindless distraction from some intense work I am doing here in the office so downloaded the 350z manual and flicked to a random page. Read about recommended gear changes and max speed in each gear. Max speed in 2nd gear = 60mph Also... It recommends shifting into 6th gear at 33mph Six gears to get to 33mph...really? Does anyone actually use 6th or even 5th gear around town?

Sounds fine to me too...most cars I have owned sit below 1000rpm and occasionally the needle drops and it shudders a bit then comes back again, in effect just the auto choke type thing working I would have thought?

I might wander out and try a few of these in a minute! My Scirocco you could wind the windows down by pressing and holding the unlock button, similarly put them up by pressing and holding the lock button. Also, most cars you can plug in and mess around with the computer settings, on the Scirocco the 'chirp' was available if you plugged in a VAG system and changed the internal settings of the cars computer...not sure if the Zed is quite there with that?

Mental car, apparently sales have been dropping lately but most reviews put it above the Scirocco R, Audi TT and the Focus ST - even on test tracks it performs better. Bloody fast, great handling and it looks stunning in real life.

I have seen some vids of this car and by all accounts it has terrible understeer, to the point that the steering wheel is utterly ineffective...

I had a Scirocco 1.4TSi (super charged and turbo charged 160bhp version) as a company car for 6 months and it was absolutely awesome. It looks fantastic (much better than the Alfa in my opinion) and performance wise 0-60 in 8 seconds for a 1400cc engine is quite amazing. Easily acheives 35mpg on the motorway probably looking at a bit more, just need to make sure you set the computer on comfort mode (better fuel economy, softer suspension etc). Interior is VW quality, solid paneling, nothing feels like its going to fall out or the like. Can't go wrong with it really...

I have heard mixed reviews, just wondered given the money off if it was worth the effort... ...is frustrating to see the price of stuff in the US - I could have kitted out my 350z with all sorts by now if the price was the same over here

Im not the sort of guy wants to mess around with switching parts of the car over every year for the MoT...

Any advantage of a replacement plenum over a spacer? Otherwise I guess throwing £400 a Berks and £150 at a spacer comes out at around the same level...roughly.

You should use something like photobucket and link it to that. I generally link to pictures which are about 600x480 roughly which are about 250k max each, works fine.

Yesterday about 3pm Lower Richmond Road nice bodykitted red 07 plate I think went by I gave a wave but you missed me. The wife was with me at the time and I got all embarressed then "Did you just wave at a complete stranger??"... Saw a nice 06 plate black Zed heading westbound this morning about 8am on the A4 just outside my work place just past Chiswick roundabout.
