  1. I am somewhat against striking, I am umming and urring about the principle for which they are striking but striking is not the way to resolve anything. It hurts private sector workers directly in various forms. Although you get the 'standing up for your rights' argument if you flipped it and took an extreme example of the private sector striking and the government then saying to the public sector to cough up time and money to cover the strike by the private sector then I am sure the whole ethos from them about standing up for this and that would be straight out the window. As for pensions, my own view, anyone with any sense knows pensions are defunkt, the days of a government looking after people in old age has long since gone, and I am not sure if anyone had noticed it but the country is flat broke, I am not sure where this money is meant to magically appear from? Maybe we just borrow it...
  2. Twin Superchargers...yeeee haaaa!
  3. Careful though, just refurbed my seats and took 20k miles off em But yeah look for wear and tear etc - still not quite sure how your car switched from km to miles to km then back to miles, in any case get a good mechanic to give it a once over make sure the car is mechanically and structurally sound then go out and enjoy it - for £5k you wont get a much better sports car!
  4. I didnt realise, never seen a 370z key before - d'oh thought it was just some random shaped fob. Gutted, thought I had been really clever there as well...
  5. 3.5 3.7 No, that would be just stupid...
  6. It switched back to KM for a couple of years 2009 to 2010? That seems odd? I guess there is a reason it was £5k, there are some bargains around but on average you get what you pay for I suspect. For your own peace of mind maybe run it over to a local garage and get a mechanic to spend a couple of hours going over it?
  7. +1 looks like you have been had. Suspect its private? You could take it back and enter into debate, was the 'mileage' written on the receipt? If so you could have them legally I suspect?
  8. I bought some of the C5 stuff, will be putting it on mine this weekend, will let you know how it goes...
  9. Im keeping my OEM wheels with bridgestones for winter, don't want the highways agency gritting and salting my Volks to death

    New Handbrake

Cheers pal will take a browse when I get home later...remember seeing yours at the Grasshopper meet up and it looked pretty smart.
  11. Mine was like that, clutch went about 2k miles later...doesnt mean you definitely have a clutch on the way out but it might be...since replacing my clutch the biting point is definitely lower down. Whats the mileage? Has it had any work done on the clutch previously?
  12. Free Great option to move up to 19s without any clearance issues and a half decent set of rubber on em already. If I hadn't bought those Volks these would have been next on the list...
  13. Good work dealing with those mate! Although have to say for £20k I was very underwhelmed when the box was opened on the pictures...as people have said they arent actually worth anywhere near £20k but sticking the name on adds a slight premium.

    New Handbrake

Assuming this works fine going on the handbrake (seems a decent price)... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-03-09-HANDBRAKE-GAITER-BLACK-LEATHER-BOOT-/300332300574?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45ed33391e ...any recommendations on the actual handbrake handles? Momo immediately springs to mind but anything else that looks good?
  15. I bought an unbranded (ie cheap for what you got) OEM looking unit before for my Astra, £380 and it had sat nav etc. It was ermmmm, okay, it did a job, the touch screen was a bit rubbish and when you went from using the ipod interface which had nice graphics on the screen to use a USB stick suddenly it switched into a DOS looking screen - effectively they are just patched up boxes with different looking interfaces depending on what function you use. That said the sat nav was top notch and everything worked, just that the interface was pretty poor.
  16. Can't believe you have chosen Tunisia over Hindhead...tut tut Stick me down coldel - stock exhaust with some rattle when you put your foot down
  17. Sorry, saw the title and thought you were being a bit open about clocking your car
  18. In fact I am still narked by it, to the point that sometimes my heart rate goes up by about 1 beat a minute on the odd occasion. This will undoubtedly mean my early demise on the grounds of the accident to my cars front wing...

  20. Just read briefly in the news, Jack Straw having a go at insurance companies for selling on clients details (illegally) to lawyer firms who then spam you with services. I remember someone on here mentioning within days of an accident having texts and email appearing saying he should go after compensation. I get them still, last year my car had the front wing damaged, I had to claim through the insurance, what gets lost in all that is that I wasn't in the car at the time! So I still get texts about claiming for injuries when in fact it was someone in the night hitting the car and driving off whilst I was tucked up in bed!
  21. Hello mate, well done on passing the test, yep the date does stick with you...I still remember mine, 27th March 1993 ...bloody hell I'm getting old
  22. ooooh thats sounds good Will, HFCs are just win win on sound and power!
  23. When I was on an Astra forum (I know I know ) some guy got one fitted to his car and yep almost immediately you see huge gains in power, then a few months later his engine suffered catastrophic failure. Can't remember the exact details but all these chips do is tell the computer to pump more fuel in to get more power, but fundamentally ruining the whole engine in a short amount of time.
