  1. Sabine Schmidt comfortably goes past ferraris and track bikes in a Transit at the Nurburgring It does depend to a large degree on who's at the wheel and if they know the track

    Tax...

The tax on my 1.8SRi Astra was £215. £260 for a 350z is a relative bargain
  3. I bought a cassette adapter, works absolutely fine, just one tip, dont crank the volume up on your iPod beyond 50%, it has a tendancy to try and blow the speakers up in the Z
  4. And come any potential sale time it will certainly be more valuable to sell if its an original GT than a Blue Peter one
  5. Does it have to be 5 quality posts though? I am up to 3...sure I will hit 5 very soon though
  6. Now, if at the next meet you turn up with a new exhaust and a copy of 'Operating on Dogs for Dummies' sitting in the boot... Seriously though, dog always wins, when I was a kid we had a little Jack Russell who had a knee cartlidge go on him, £450 later and a comical mini plaster cast and there were smiles all round in the household it meant a bit of saving over the months on things like sweets treats etc but I never complained!
  7. I see them for just about everyone else...but not seen a single one yet for the mods who keep everything turning over as best as is possible on here...an appreciation thread!
  8. As far as I know they are stock pads (only bought the car a couple of months ago)...so probably not the ones the OP mentioned. It was a big improvement though on the non sealed wheel which collected dust within a day or two of a clean.
  9. Sorry yes, lazy writing, I do wash them once a week. Here is a pic of my wheel 100 miles after putting the C5 on. About 5 days later and some around town driving it needed a clean as dust had gathered.
  10. Stick me down 1] coldel Made me laugh out loud that one...good work!
  11. Just standing in between people here... Husky frustrated, that happens, we all have a rant sometimes. Site admin work hard, get little for it, react very angrily to being unfairly ranted at, understandable. I used to captain a football team which meant sorting accounts, organising refs, pitches, opposition etc I remember when taking it on suddenly finding out how much work goes on behind the scenes that people don't know about, but that isn't their fault as you only truly appreciate it if you have done it yourself. I can only imagine the amount of effort that goes into keeping a forum up and running and even then I am probably falling short. I have been on various forums and this has been by far one the most informative, good natured and worthwhile ones. PS not taking sides either
  12. Oops didnt see your other post, here are the links... I bought it from here http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coatings/c5-wheel-armour/ There is a good progress review of it on this detailingworld link, have a browse through, I am seeing the same results on my Volks, using just water and car shampoo where necessary and brake dust just falls off http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=189099
  13. Bulletmagnet has some Volks like mine, he recommended I use a good sealent and just car shampoo and water to clean. I bought C5 Wheel Armour, was £35 for just enough to do the four wheels but since then much reduced brake dust, i just toss a bucket of water over them once a week and wipe clean with microfibres takes 2 minutes, looks great.

    Wheel Spacers

If it is on the wheel it is usually imprinted on the inside of the wheel
  15. gtechniq c5 - I put some on my wheels which collected brake dust within a day or two of cleaning and now can go a good week without any brake dust settling. Give them a wipe over with a damp cloth and wipe with a dry microfibre once a week.
  16. Part of a road nearby us came up really badly, underneath you could see the old pebble stone road still underneath, probably about three or four hundred years old - they just lay tarmac on these ancient uneven roads and it falls off...no big surprises there.
  17. I am still using my Canon 350d...have had it for something like 8 years now and its still going strong. The 8mp on it is more than enough, any sales guy trying to get you to upgrade from 12 to 14 mp is just talking utter nonsense.
  18. Its worth considering that tyres on the front wear down a hell of a lot slower than on the rear...both those tyres would probably reach illegal at the same time...
  19. Tarmac would be your man for a Scoprion...
  20. I got one of those boot dividers, very good, they are held in place by some velcro which loops through the catches under the rear strut brace. Defo worth going for I use mine all the time...
  21. Watched Question Time last night, thought Hugh Grant put in a good show. The Tory guy started badly but had the Labour fella over a barrel by the end when it transpired that the legal barriers blocking the Tories from doing what what Labour are calling for now were in fact drawn up in 2006 by Labour who were trying desperately at the time to jump in bed with Murdoch. Again Hugh made a great point, its not about any political party, they are all guilty of it, and during his police investigation they showed that its not just the News of the World but all the trash papers are at it. So expect to see a few more topple over at some point...it just needs a straight copper to do it.
  22. Same everywhere pal, at a punt its a clean up cost of something like £10bn but the country only has £2bn to pay for it all. Am amazed though, a few potholes near me got filled, then they were back again about a week later. Its not cold, not overly hot, why bother spending money on shoddy workmanship.
