I bought mine pre-sprayed black off ebay...they came with the tape on the back cut to size. Note they have 'Z' in the middle of the badges rather than 'Nissan' which you will have on your current badge.

I put black Z badges front and back on my black Z...I like it, bit like marmite though I suspect when it comes to opinions.

Looks good, Black tends to be a bit rarer when buying at around that price, plenty of silvers which are cheaper, think you paid probably there or there abouts the right amount - as Graham said above, if it makes you smile and you enjoy it who cares!

Oh dear doesn't sound good...if its any consolation within 4 weeks of buying mine I had spent £300 on a CV Joint and £650 on a clutch and flywheel - put back my plans to buy new wheels but slowly catching up again on my plans to tinker...

I find Stop/Start technology very annoying, that cars fitted with this only have it to cheat the emissions system. If I promise to switch off my engine at every set of lights can I pay half the tax?

Without wanting to panic you or make assumptions, but soon after I bought my car I had paint lift off the rear bumper (hence the paint job on the link in the post from Steve) turns out the guy before had what they call a 'blowover' where they just spray over damaged paint with similar colour and poor paint mix to hide problems from a buyer, Taras at RT-P spotted it straight away with his trained eye. This blowover wears off after a short time though - some unscrupulous sellers (like the guy I bought mine from) will do this to shift the car without you realising the paint issues. Get it looked at by an expert they could give you some advice on whats happened. Could be that it was there before and cheaply repaired, maybe not.

It is, you will be well chuffed with their work mate.

Personally if going the full respray route, I would go for something unique to my car...

If they do it in London they should do it in Birmingham, Manchester etc etc. London isn't the only place in the UK with congestion and pollution.

Thanks for sorting it out guys, here are some piccys, sorry not great quality (hope iPhone 5 is an improvement!) but you can see the cracks and scratches all gone and the colour matches perfectly. The cracked paint just below the number plate This appeared under the back, near the exhaust, was just peeling off by the day - all fixed now Scratches on the back right quarter, almost verging on being cracks, gone Colour matched very well, you would never know it got a respray Again thanks Ray and Taras, looks bloody excellent if I don't say so myself.

Got some before ones, didnt come out that well as it was iPhone...will take some after ones on the way back from the Chiro in a little bit and post on here.

Well I had paint peeling off leaving bare metal before it went in, very impressed with the colour matching. Just the front bumper to go...

Think I have blown this...I am just trying to find out how to sort the fuses out. I have searched and found this, seems like I need a 15amp fuse which I will pop out and get later. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=47208&hilit=fuse+cigarette+lighter I am though aware there are two fuse boxes, there is a you tube video of a guy pretty much dismantling the area around the battery to get to the fuse box. Before I do anything like that, can someone confirm that the fuse for the cigarette lighter located in the box by the battery? I have read somewhere there is another box in the footwell on the drivers side?

...had the Zed in at RT Performance since Monday, picked it up again last night. Walking from the office to their workshop I had that same feeling I had when I went to pick up the car originally when I bought it. Excited, almost child like excitement, realised how much I missed driving it after just 3 days! Anyone else had that feeling? Didn't realise I would miss the car that much and be so excited to get it back! RT-P did a great job repainting the rear bumper, Ray came down and filled in for Taras who has had to go back home for a while due to personal reasons - so FYI the workshop is closed until next week - thanks Ray for coming down and finishing my bumper up, good work fellas.

My dad is a mechanic and recently bought a newer van to avoid just this (although the prices of the vans that were built after 2003 has rocketed). Might be worth just getting a newer one if he can? Dad found it wouldn't have been worthwhile to get his old van changed over as it would probably have needed replacing in a few years anyway.

Unfortunately it isn't car tax as most people call it, its vehicle excise duty, so a duty you pay on the type of car you own in the form of an excise tax - there are already plenty of less visible taxes on new cars that people pay. You wouldnt expect to pay say less VAT on a product because you only buy one or two a year vs someone who buys fifty of them. Its a product tax, not a usage tax.
