  1. I bought some and it has worked a dream, makes removing brake dust a case of warm water car shampoo and a wash mitt and an easy wipe and it all comes off no problem.
  2. Grab some Hexis wrap off ebay or similar and have a go yourself, its relatively cheap and easy to do on simple parts.
  3. I am, or was a full on cyclist and can certainly entertain those points above. I actually recently sold my beloved carbon fiber race bike as I was fed up of cycling in and around London, but I have to say it was probably 75% other cyclists and 25% other cars as to the reason I stopped. I have cycled across France and done a fair amount in London over the years but its gotten stupid now. I am sick of these amateur pelatons of mates all done up in their yellow jerseys and Sky Team tops who cycle side by side chatting and paying no attention to whats around them. The amount of times I had to take evasive action on my bike because of other cyclists on roads far outweigh the car incidents. I actually got abused by another cyclist when I stopped at a red light pedestrian crossing and he nearly cycled into me because he had no intention of stopping and turned to abuse me as he cycled through the red light. I used to live in Paris, and cyclists obey the rules of the road like everyone else, cars respect that, here in the UK it is DISGUSTING the behaviour or the majority (and it is the vast majority) that choose not to stop at red lights, that don't give way to the right at mini roundabouts and seem to choose what rules to follow and what rules not to follow to fit their convenience. I looked quickly at the second video in the links above, regardless of who's fault it is clearly this guy is out there to cause problems and catch it on video to make a point of it. I could have taken a camera outside the front of my old house in Putney, stood by a set of traffic lights and filmed a thousand cyclists a day cycling through red lights and swerving around pedestrians. If we want cyclists and cars to get along we need to change the way the roads work. More cycle lanes. Cyclists must take a road proficiency and knowledge test. Cyclists have to stop breaking the law of the road. Drivers have to be more patient, but they need 'nudging' so plenty more signs on the road reminding them to look for cyclists and be prepared to slow. I think though there is more to change from a cyclists point of view than a drivers, people in cars don't want to hit cyclists. What annoys me though - people carriers, suddenly they have become the worst tailgaters in the world and think they are in a formula 1 car.
  4. Charging down the outside lane at about 11:30am today between junctions 6 and 7
  5. They sit between the pedal and the ECU, in effect speeding up or slowing down throttle response. So if you had the throttle pushed in say 25% of the way, on a high Sport setting it would be like having your foot to the floor. If it was in an Economy mode it would be like you are barely touching the pedal. In gears 1 and 2 gives you get an almighty shove in the back when in sport 7 mode. I don't notice too much difference in gears higher than that.
  6. For £89 I got 5 laps of Rockingham in an Aston. Much prefer to do the experiences with multiple laps, so you get used to the car and the track, it would be frustrating otherwise
  7. ...well, if they included clutches in the deal, which they don't, in fact a LOT isn't included in the 25% deal.
  8. Blimey good deal that, especially if you need to change a clutch or something
  9. Good work fella, hope it all works out, got a D1 Spec on my Zed and it is great fun!
  10. On the M25 today, behind a Toyota, a kid in the back of the car was taking pictures using his iPhone of my Zed! He looked like he was filming me when I overtook him so I waved!
  11. Not sure will need to check...
  12. If I wasn't after a shed I would have had that Nismo in a second

  15. Another thing to add to the list! My gearbox has some play in it, would like to get it sorted at some point...
  16. Tried googling cd009 but not much coming up - what is it? A latest version of the gearbox? Whats the difference?
  17. So have a couple of options: 1. Take off and respray, never sprayed anything before in my life, I presume I need some sandpaper, some primer and a can of spray for the colour I want? Halfords visit on the cards for this one. 2. Buy some Satin Silver ones and be done with it, do the satin silver ones off ebay lose their look quickly as well? Any other options I haven't thought of? Cheers
  18. The guy almost hints that it doesn't work, got to be worth a punt at that price? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350z-Speed-Defender-/330601878242?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf96852e2
  19. Not being horrible clarkie, but riding aside each other is dangerous to all concerned, its not a case of them vs us, any cyclist who takes that attitude is already going to cause a problem on the road. Cycling 3 across means you have cars on the other side of the road overtaking instead of slightly across the lane which brings many more dangers than overtaking single file bikes. This also applies to other cyclists traveling faster than the 'amateur pelaton' who have to take a wide diversion to get around them. Cyclists seem to have gotten worse in London, I remember ten years ago it used to be just enthusiasts who seemed to deal with the cars better, now you have all sorts of untrained commuter and sunday cyclists who have no idea half of the time what they are doing is wrong or dangerous. The sooner it stops being them vs us the better really. Most annoying thing on the road? Recklessness in any form, tailgating is top of that list. Even in that torrential rain last week on the M4 I had cars less than ten feet from my tail at 50mph.
  20. Mine went after 45k miles, wear and tear it seemed when it was opened up, bought the car with 42k on the clock so no idea how it was treated prior to that. I imagine not too badly as it seemed about average for a clutch to go around the mid forties when I asked on here...
  21. Yeah its ridiculously hard to describe, actually as I drive in the morning I do listen intently trying to describe it in my head for when I post on here about it Will be another thing for the old man to sort out during its service
  22. That's the one, it gets louder as I engage the gears with clutch fully out and pull away, then once traveling it seems fine. Not noted if I had the air con on or off really, will see if it makes difference tomorrow.
  23. Another thread...this time mine makes a strange noise when cold, I put the car in gear and as I engage the clutch I hear what sounds like what I can only describe as a small bell ringing sound. Once the car is at 3000+ revs it seems to stop. Noise is getting slightly louder as the weeks pass. Doesn't affect performance, just one of those things once you notice it it drives you a bit mad.
  24. Would look good on say the engine cover...
  25. To be honest, given the number of horror stories I read on here of shocking Nissan dealership work I would rather put the car in the hands of a good independent anyway. Its an 04 car, so out of warranty.
