  1. You can buy an engine cover as well for this from Kinetix, it is larger than the stock one and fills the hole that is invariably left after the install.

    P4 service

Aye don't worry about that - he is very experienced working on performance cars - has all the details on how to service all cars on the computers etc.
  3. Nope, just a can of Gunk then a rub down and massage with a damp cloth where appropriate! Cheers mate.
  4. Was giving the car a once over today, cleaning the engine bay etc started the car up, gave it a good rev, looked under the back where the back box joins the mid pipe and there seemed to be a lot of black stuff around the joint, this stuff actually dripped onto the floor. Any idea what it is?
  5. Rota GTRs? Like em, nearly got a set myself but settled on Volks GTVs, nice though
  6. Googling it, seems a short trip to Antalya which is well worth the trip, went there last year, stunning place.
  7. I wonder how much of that video will actually make it into a working version of W8? Apple been kicking MS backsides for a long time, and still more time to come me thinks. Unfortunately, its just, better.
  8. About time Windows finally caught up

    P4 service

Well, so far I have (approx prices) Nissan Oil Filter £10 (Alex) Denso Iridium Sparks £50 (Alex) Fuchs 5L Engine Oil £36 (Opie Oils) Gates Drive Belts x2 £30 (Alex) Crush Plug £2 (Alex) Alex is very much the man in this case My dad is a car mechanic so has gear and diff oil in stock, we have the pads on order at one of his suppliers if needed depends on what we see when we take the wheels off. We are intending to spend a good 6-7 hours on the car I would say, just going over it with a fine tooth comb.

    P4 service

Alex supplied my Cosworth panel filter...I recently also bought Denso Iridium sparkies from him as well. Think I paid £35-£40 for my DE engine filter. I think Rich is also selling Apexi filters at the moment as well. I am in the same boat, strange ownership of my car, 1st owner was a navy commander who got called out to the Gulf soon after buying it so it sat untouched in a garage for 18 months. Then it went to another fella who did Nissan servicing but subsequently for its age is now a service behind. So giving it a P10 service with my dad this weekend. Going to be doing everything from the drive belts, three oil changes (engine/gear/diff), sparkies as above, brake pads etc. Its going to be a nice drive home Saturday night! Well worth doing as much as you can, keep all the receipts etc - always good for any potential buyer in future to see you have put time and effort into looking after it
  11. Just watched FF5 on DVD, absolutely excellent, the final chase scene must have rocked the cinema to its foundations! Good to see a few Nissans in there too.
  12. Funny how serious people take these games...I used to play MW online and have had various rednecked racists on there and even had abuse thrown at me. Once my team were doing pretty bad,so I holed up in a building and covered a choke point - these guys came through and i nailed about 4 of them in one go - then called in air strikes etc, I did notice the same name coming up on screen and clearly this guy made it his mission to come get me. Everytime he did the same thing rushing through the door, I think I got him about 6-8 times before he gave up and reverted to his keyboard as I got a message in game...I read it afterwards and it was a torrent of abuse about being a coward...I replied kindly pointing out that 'its a computer game' and promptly sent the message to PS3 complaints department!
  13. Blimey never even heard of these before but they look like a handy solution for snow...
  14. It works for some people, anyway its about 100 quid usually bit cheaper here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-2005-DASH-TRIM-KIT-/260852144066?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cbbffd7c2
  15. When and where is that mate? I am busy Saturday but free Sunday.
  16. Spoke with Sky, they said I must switch to their phone line, you cant have their broadband otherwise. Also, as we are in a new house, we have a new BT line, so are tied into a contract I think - so can't switch to another line anyway...
  17. Did you guys meet up Saturday?
  18. Aye, can't argue on value, but really was just looking at performance - the 458 was gobbling up the GTR at the end - in fact think it would have gone past in about 3 or 4 seconds more. If you started talking about value then the Cayman vs the GTR doesn't really seem fair Bit of a bizarre line up to be honest...
  19. ...am experimenting with spray painting at the moment, actually its quite enjoyable and certainly a little bit easier than wrapping Took out the rear strut and door grabs and the passenger side silver door grab handle and sprayed them. Was thinking of doing a crazy colour for the rear strut but wimped out and chose aluminum instead. Satin black for the door grabs and aluminum for the passenger door handle. Have wrapped the centre console in satin black as well so its all starting to look very neat inside, it was quite tatty when I bought the car.
  20. A mate of mine had a 350z and moved to exactly one of these when he had his first nipper, he cannot stand the thing...in fact he may well have already sold it on last time I saw him at football he was in a 3 series.
  21. Evora Doesn't bode well, BMW and Cayman not in the same league and well down on power. Another 1/4 mile and the 458 I think would have nailed the GTR...
  22. I have seen a few black ones go at dealers for about £8500 - they always say SAT NAV GREAT SPEC but really its just the normal GT spec plus a sat nav which is 'functional' rather than fantastic. Wheels are grim at least you could try sell them on and reclaim a bit of money.
  23. Cheers guys, will investigate said options...
  24. OK, just settling into the new house, need to get wireless broadband up and running. I tried Sky and they told me I have to switch to their phone line to get their broadband, pretty disgusted with that actually and pretty anti-competitive. So any other options?
