  1. I bought Nissan genuine gear oil from Alex and added moly, makes a whole world of difference
  2. I really gave Foxtons the sharp end of the stick this morning, I felt guilty for a short time, then came to my senses and realised that I lost my temper with them for a reason, that they were taking the pi$$. We will find somewhere, but I wont suck up to an estate agent to get it. Rich, that looks really similar to our place from when we used to live in Paris! Open plan living area downstairs with the annex bit upstairs etc! Bizarrely similar in fact.
  3. Cheers mate, looks miles better in the flesh, photos dont do it justice - I just wanted a contrasting Z between the strut bar and the rear boot lid Have you tried the Z Store, means importing at a small cost but some look great and a few on there I havent seen on UK Zeds. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/350z03j
  4. Just grab a black one, rub it down and spray it The black comes off of its own accord anyway and its green underneath Heres what I did with mine - I used the 0 in 350 to cover the holes
  5. ...a rant and a request Rant: Dealing with estate agents, I don't know whether they are just stupid, ignorant, deaf, clever, manipulating or just a mix of all of the above. Rebecca and I want to move from Windsor and rent in Richmond/St Margarets, not Isleworth, not Teddington, not bleedin Barnes. So why is it, when I give explicit instructions for a specific property they send back stuff in other areas with the wrong spec. Yes, its closeby, but for gods sake Iran is technically only a mile from Turkey but I know where I wont be taking my holidays this year. Why bother asking me for instructions if you are incapable of following them. I specifically say I dont want Isleworth and I still get sent properties there. Idiots. Do they think I will just say 'oooh thats nice, I dont want to live there but lets go see it and rent it' I specifically said I dont want Isleworth or the like, so dont send it. You are making yourself look dumb and incompetent and generating more and more hatred for these people amongst home searchers. FOXTONS, send me the ideal property, I ask for the address, they send a map with the arrow pointing at the middle of a crossroads, I ask again the address, they respond and ask when I want to view it. I query that the floorplan doesnt match the picture on the outside of the property, I ask the address, they ignore my questions and ask when I want to view it. I arrange at great hassle to my working day, they cancel hours beforehand. I rearrange, they cancel 3 hours beforehand just now. They want to rearrange, I tell them to get professional and stop wasting my time, they cant understand why I am unhappy. Anyway...rant over, feel better. Anyone hear of any 2 bed places going in Richmond/St Margarets please let me know! And no jokers sending through Isleworth links
  6. ...and good on you for going with the best colour still
  7. Just check the cost of parts before you go Saab - I would suspect it could be hard to get now?
  8. yeee haaaa http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201152438537282 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201202440934731
  9. I had some handling issues, Zed hasn't had the realignment done under my watch so thought this morning as good a time as ever. It was pulling to the left and I was having to wrestle it to the right. Checked the pressures and fronts were down to 29 and rears at 32. Set them to 35 all round and then headed over to Maidenhead Tyres and Exhausts. Would have normally gone to Abbey or the like, but with Becks now 4 days overdue I cant risk being too far away, this place was like ten minutes drive. Anyways, the tyre inflations made a positive difference, took it into the guys at Maidenhead, they did the laser alignment, fronts were out rear ever so slightly out, they adjusted front and back and only charged for the front £35 for a 4 wheel laser alignment - Brian who did it really nice bloke, talked me through how the misalignment affected the control of the car, spot on about it pulling to the left. Car felt miles better on the way home
  10. A good mate of mine has a clio 197 and he loves it to pieces, he test drove a corsa vxr amongst others but went for the clio. He had a go in the Zed the other day and was mightily impressed, said it just 'felt' fast, from the noise, the torque through the revs even the seating position just made it more of an experience
  11. Check to see if you got a turbo or super charger under the bonnet...if not, its a clutch me thinks
  12. Weather warm up? Will arrived at the recent SE meet which was zero degrees with the roof down and wrapped in about eight layers of woolies
  13. Haha if you do a search...read all the way down! http://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/football-manager-wembley-stadium-international-travel-doe/21179620#/jobs?keywords=england%20manager

Graham, not sure myself I am afraid to say mate! Just makes it look a bit too big - loved the way you had it before
  15. ...on my first car, a 1.0L 'sport back' mk1 Polo...which came with colour coded burgandy wheel hubs...I 'came across' a wooden gear knob and electric aerial which I fitted - dead proud I was - looked crap it did. Althought the aerial was not that bad, just that it was worth more than the car
  16. Aaaaaah ok, had some nice days recently for driving mate - through the big freeze as well that we traditionally get in Feb
  17. Plastidip on my Zeds handles, they look shocking
  18. Have been ferrying around the wife in the Focus a bit lately so not been using the Zed for a couple of days, then yes step back into it and you realise it has a fair bit of ooompf! Nearly stalled it as the clutch was so immediate and heavy!
  19. Should be fine at the moment but no harm in giving the car a good look over yourself/with brother - I wouldnt worry about taking it into a garage so soon - I heard cars like Mitsubishi Evos need constant servicing but from what I have seen the Zeds are made of tougher stuff. Just check oils, fluids etc yourself I would say if it had a service 4k miles back.
  20. If you mentioned you didn't have a manual and that you did a google search for it (where you can find it on page 1 of the search results as it happens) and turned up nothing then I am sure Lexx would not have referred you to reading it and the subsequent unnecessary sarcasm
