Not bad, got the mud flaps installed, exhaust looks aftermarket, maybe a cobra? Could be wrong but the back box looks too small to be standard. Aluminium vent covers on the dash off ebay for £20 as well, bonus! You might find a few extras under the hood if the previous owner was into modifying. Worth a look at that money, take him down to £6.5k though and spend the money saved on insurance.

Scirocco R about £31k, so yeah a few grand difference, but then again the Scirocco does what it says on the tin, 30% extra power or something over the Toyota. It just feels like the styling is wrong for the performance you get as its no better than a warm hatch.

I know people say the Zed looks a faster car than it actually is, but it would still drive away from these cars. They look very brutal and quick but have shocking performance figures.

Well, as this is a Japanese car manufacturers forum, we should raise the issue of how the Japanese do Valentines day. Bit embarrassing for us lads the 14th of Feb, as for the Japanese its a day when the women give the men chocolates. So when I was out getting stuff for Rebecca when we were there I was surrounded by hundreds of rabid Japanese women trying to buy the best chocolates there were. Then, on the 14th of March its the mens turn to buy chocolates back, the amount they buy has to be more than what they received if they 'really love her'

Prosecco worked a treat

Well, I took a bit of a punt and put together pan fried duck with a homemade strawberry/raspberry/plum/honey sauce along with good old fashion roast potatoes and rosemary. Followed it up with butterscotch ice cream and strawberries along with a glass of prosecco (Becks actually likes this more than champers and not being tight!). It was going fabulously well right up until 20 minutes ago when our little 'un decided he wants to stay up all night and play with his toys....Becks is up there right now with a bottle of milk trying to get him to drop off...

Common for lots of cars, always seems that the older cars had more 'character' - whatever that means? Does it mean, it broke down more? Or that the technology wasnt available to make curves so we had edges? I am sure the 370z will in about 10 years suddenly have character compared to the new model, character it doesn't have now...because its old?

Thought the new Scirocco was a fantastic piece of design, looks like a coupe, but two very usable back seats. Heres the front end of mine... I just loved the styling from all angles, from the rear gives the impression of a wide stanced sports car, front looked mean, stunning curves along the bodywork. Again based on looks, one of the best looking cars out there IMO.

Regarding legality, off the top of my head I thought new mot laws were that any tinting on a vehicles lights is an instant fail.

I had a new Scirocco and yes it's basically a golf but we are talking about looks right? I think it looks fantastic and looks wise broke the vw mould.

I can't say I would have gone for those mods personally...and yes, weird seeing it again, you kind of try to shut it out your mind after spending so much of your free time working on it it is then sold. Hopefully, when I get my next toy I can properly move on

We seem to keep referring to people that move to places that do not have parking, what about people that have lived there all their lives? I know a woman on our road who is in her sixties and has lived in the same house since she was twelve, is it now her fault for living there that she can't get parked? Car ownership was rarer when her parents bought the place, what does she do? I have to say our road is a nightmare, you have to park on the kerb and its marked out that way, but its a lovely place to live, very convenient, very safe, loads of great facilities, easy to get to work, all my friends live around here etc so of course I want to live here I am not going to live somewhere else because of the parking. I still though think I am entitled like the poster said to argue when parking restrictions are clearly nonsense.

Wow, theres a turn up, the guy that bought it text me two weeks ago asking me what stereo upgrades he should go for. No the Nismo sticker wasn't there, nor the headlight brows or vortex fins. Looks like he has tinted the rear lights in one of the photos as well.

I wish London parking was as easy as non london parking, seriously, it is something you cannot take as granted unless you are looking at six figures. It really is a different world to a lot of the rest of the country. I want to live in Richmond, but to get a driveway in my budget it means living 20 miles west of here, not living in a different street.

Have to say based on the videos I have seen the cobras look great value for fitment and sound
