  1. Yes the moving of the heater switch is good and quite novel - haven't seen that done on here yet. For the head unit look up the mod where you do the ipod hack, much cleaner looking and you get a better signal through to your speakers.
  2. FTFY. oh those of such little knowledge
  3. The problem with some roadsters is when they were meant to be coupes and to get to the roadster they simply cut the top off. It mostly looks a bit odd.
  4. Somewhat unrelated but all VXs come with 'Billies' as standard, for a car aimed almost solely at handling there has to be something in that decision by Lotus...
  5. +1 on the roadsters for noise, but for some cars its a -1 for the looks
  6. Sort the wheels and job done! Looking forwards to the dyno - like Ricey said, if you got it for a couple of grand max then good move otherwise...hmmm.
  7. Aha you can swear in other languages though!
  8. You got to give it to the guy, he has a great sense of humour, I was in tears reading this, even the questions at the bottom are hilarious - hope its not a http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-PUSSY-WAGON-TAXED-TESTED-STI-CLEAR-/161107374385 (PS mods dont worry about sticking this through on the 'spotted on ebay' page!)
  9. Nah, Dan is completely wrong on this one
  10. I find myself agreeing with you with all of it bar the early debate with the gt86,,,, I don't think I would look at 2 cars and buy the one that was rubbish just because no one bought it. I mean go buy a nissan cube if you want a rare car I think the 350, around the time you would have bought the car and at the price you where paying was more than a match for its competitors and offered the rare factor as well. I think there is merit for both points but I think the car would have to offer a bit more than just being rare to merit taking it Of course you wouldn't buy a rubbish car if no one owned one for that reason. But there really is not a lot in it in car choices nowadays that I choose rarity as a factor, and why not. My VX will out corner any 350/370, will out run a 350 up to legal speed limits, give you a better feedback on the road, give you a better raw driving experience and its a rarer car. Its hardly inferior in ALL departments. I am not making a decision like 'hmmm should I have a 911 or a 2CV'. I could have gotten the same out of an MR2 or an MX5 which are a rawer experience than the Z but they are not for me, I wanted to experience something very different. And people coming on and talking about buying one car over another because its 0-60 time is half a second quicker, or its top speed is 200 instead of 190 are really making a point out of something that doesn't exist, unless you are going on a track these sorts of performances your average driver will never exploit and never see a difference on the road.
  11. Thats because people are blinded by the fact the comes standard with 2, if it came with 1 from the factory then everyone would think the twins looked gay Mr2 roadster came with single exit, and the most people swapped them to twin exits to balance the look of the rear out. people do it becuase twin exit looks like a sports car single exit looks like a rice wagon Ah the old, it has more than one pipe it must be a sports car One pipe = because race car No one deny's single exit makes for better performance, but this is not a race car, its for a normal road going sports car, and it looks gash and chavy, which is why no one sells them and very few buy them Thats because 99% of this forum are sheep Yeah Yeah. Just look at the build threads and see the variety...but all with dual exits they got taste - not chav dna Yes, all the sheep with Nismo (style) kits & all with the stock layout dual exhaust - no sheep there is it I can't believe a Vauxhall driver has the nerve to even bring chav into it It's a Lotus really

  14. Thats because people are blinded by the fact the comes standard with 2, if it came with 1 from the factory then everyone would think the twins looked gay With a bumper tuck the single doesn't look out of place, but then I wouldn't expect most on this forum to understand - nearly every car looks the same & they all have the same ambitions Well thats the point though isn't it? The back end designed to have two exits hence the way its shaped on the bumper. If it came out the factory with one exit the bumper design would be different and the look styled to work with it. But it doesn't. And no it doesnt look gay at all, it just looks wrong, unbalanced, out of place and awkward, but that just my opinion.
  15. Rear end designed for a single exit exhaust, something the Zed isn't and never will be.
  16. Its as marmite as they come, but really the Zed is a dual exit exhaust car - it simply looks like some chav has taken a very neat exhaust that any sane person would keep on, off, and put some halfords screaming hell cheap tat on the back, it really doesn't work at all IMO. And that most of them end up sticking out at a 45 degree angle just adds to the chavvy out of place look!
  17. I was with my dad and brother when they did the clutch on my zed and yes of course the gear knob came off and the whole thing moved. I had to go through the same process of plate adjustment (on Alex's advice!) after they did mine too - although it wasnt anywhere as far out as yours sounds. The plate adjustment is pretty simple too.

    It's started

And a Typhoon Euro fighter would obliterate their bikes...the comparison is about as valid. Sorry I know they are your mates but comparing bikes to cars is just daft. I assume they mean it in jest. Just ask them how many suitcases they can fit in the boot and where the heater controls are when its pouring with rain and zero degrees... But welcome to Zed ownership, lots of fun will be had!
  19. Place called Yotsuya, in between the Royal Palace and Shinjuku on Shinjuku Dori Here https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=yotsuya+station+tokyo&hl=en&ll=35.686024,139.73073&spn=0.046708,0.090809&sll=35.687627,139.725409&sspn=0.023354,0.045404&gl=uk&hnear=Yotsuya+Station,+Tokyo,+Japan&t=m&z=14
  20. The crack in the wall from Doctor Who is more appropriate, just remove them from time and space completely
  21. I think it started far right and progressed right to left
