  1. Didn't Will have one for a few days? My Dad bought one when Alfie was born (he even relaid his driveway to stop Rebecca accidentally stumbling when she gets out the car with Alfie!), just wanted a reliable car which is super practical and safe with him in the back. He's a car mechanic and he loves it, he went for the petrol version as purchase price is substantially cheaper but he loves it and is not easily impressed with cars.
  2. Hmmm, I have a few views on this although I openly admit to not actually reading extensively either side of the argument: 1. Yes the media will blow it all up and make a story out of it, it's their job to 2. It is very possible to write models that predict future behaviour based on previous experience even if that data is partial or incomplete, it was my job for ten years and still is part of my job now 3. Humans must be altering the climate of this planet if any sort of common sense is applied, you can't create the levels of non naturally produced gasses etc without having an impact on the environment in which it exists 4. Yes the government will tax us on it, but there are hundreds of stealth taxes out there that contribute much more in the way of income than some random tax on cars and if anything this sort of report is aimed at big business and not individuals who happen to own larger than average engined cars Problem is its more than just carbon emissions, we were at a zoo with little Alfie at the weekend listening to some guy talking about Lemers, apparently 85% of rain forest in northern madagascar in which they live has been cut down and burnt. I am sure there are a thousand similar stories just like it. Without some sort of shock story or massive kick up the backside this planet with be shot to pieces in 50 years time. If it takes this report to do it whether its nonsense or not, then fair play because I haven't seen anything else work so far.
  3. As RT says, by definition the wheels/axle width is now wider than before which the car was not set up for. Running a geo is absolutely important. Funny that since getting the VX where the handling is so 'frisky' the geo is the one thing every member gets done regularly, although very rarely see it done on here?
  4. I know! Gits! They didn't want to get embarrassed by a little Vauxhall
  5. SOLD, close please (sorry Boss Hercules got there first)
  6. Just buy a VX if you want handling and 'raw'
  7. I would defo enjoy the journey into work in this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIFE-SIZE-16FT-TALL-SCOUT-WALKER-AT-ST-STAR-WARS-ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME-CHANCE-/251338949545

  9. Saw a silver nismo 370z earlier, maybe you were cruising in Richmond!
  10. ...£20 per light, not £20.
  11. Just clearing out some of the house, this has been sat in the loft since we moved, bought it 2009 for about £300 DVD player is non functioning, tried it out and it takes the disc etc just refuses to play. Speakers in great condition though and very loud with good clarity and base. It has LG HT554PH as a code on the back if you want to google it. Collection only from TW10 Richmond Surrey. Cheers Col
  12. Usually about 4-6 weeks wait before the wrap goes on...so you need to avoid stone chips in the meantime!
  13. Cheers mate. This is my 2nd Zed, been a member for a while now Just adding to the collection í ½í¸ I so nearly bought another Zed, just given that I spent so much on the previous one, felt I had to start anew on a different car! Love Zeds and still go along to meets. Whereabouts are you located?

Just take your time, soak, use stuff people recommended above and let it drop off. I made a mistake of forcing same thing off before and was horrified by the result - as I say well done for waiting and patience!
  15. Thank you, yes he did spend over an hour doing them, prepping them, etcetc, was no rush cowboy job i can tell ya. New owner is from this forum, and i wanted the lights done for a long time regardless if it was sold or not, ive sent him pics of them also Im more than happy with the outcome, considering how they did look like before. Seriously, it doesn't take an hour and it doesn't need lots of prep and effort. Ian and I stood there and said 'hey I wonder if Megs Compound would work on those lights' and 5 mins later they looked like yours. Just to confirm, we were not wearing cowboy hats.
  16. Welcome Whazza, yep defo keep the karma going good bunch on here and they all love their Zeds!
  17. Get it sprayed and covered with a clear wrap for protection. What colour you hoping to wrap it in because it wont match up to your current paint work? Spray will look better once lacquered and just sling a clear wrap coat over it. Its pricey but definitely the best solution.

Soak a sponge in car shampoo and hot water and leave it on there. Anything really to soften it up. Good work not just going out there and scraping it off, would leave a hell of a mark.
  19. Absolutely, fair play to you for doing it for the next owner, hope they carry that Karma on to any further owners! But £40 to polish a couple of headlights, sat here shaking my head. I do this myself on my current car takes ten minutes not one hour, think you have had £40 stolen out your wallet. Sorry
  20. Dont use any cream polishes or waxes as it will leave a white sheen on your wrap. I actually found black boot polish over carbon black wrap made it look great although all to their own!
  21. £20..hmmm...wasso did mine some time back, bit of Megs Compound and 2 mins with the polisher and got the same effect.
  22. If you can, you get a good effect sanding off the dimples. Or wrap it with satin black vinyl.
  23. I would also recommend another free mod, some cleaning gear and some elbow grease and get that gunk off from around the dials below the head unit!
