  1. Buy a VX mate, even pulling out of a driveway is a great experience
  2. I have seen a marked increase in Ford Capris now you mention it!
  3. This is the best photo I could find, I sold the car last year so can't go out and grab a snap of it unfortunately!
  4. Mine peeled back, I just bought some carbon fibre vinyl and wrapped it, surprisingly easy to do with the steering wheel in place actually.
  5. I would agree numbers must be easier to register than a dial. I was lucky enough to be in a brand new M5 with the sports head up display and having the speed in numbers on your windscreen makes it much easier.
  6. GLWTS, it has been immaculately looked after and will make a great upgrade for someone.
  7. Not sure if anyone knows much about this, but have been following it as one guy off the VX forum looked over a few cars for me before going for my one. Nice chap who said he would show me how to handle the car on track with some training runs, turns out he is 2012, 2013 time attack champion for the RWD class in the UK. Just competed in the Euros and came in a credible 2nd including against a pro team with a 911! Results on the left hand side of this Facebook page, but look what sneaked in a surprising 4th place in RWD class ... https://www.facebook.com/EuropeanTimeAttackMasters
  8. Just showed my wife, laughed her ar5e off, think I know what we are having tomorrow night!
  9. Hang on...loaf of bread changes shape from one pic to the next shocker
  10. You can also buy belt dressing online to help keep it in good shape and prevent cracking/slipping
  11. Great thread title (followed by childish sniggering)
  12. Or aqua graphics? Havent seen it posted up yet but gets a brilliant result. Someone on here did their whole dash carbon dipped. I recently did some of my interior which was a worn out looking silver in red carbon, a photo below of the dash plate before being fitted:
  13. Anything that has japspeed on it is generally junk, once you receive this from the US you will find it probably wont fit properly and you will be in a chop shop spending more money modifying the underside of your car/y pipe with no product support from the seller. Search for 'japspeed' and 'crap' on the site there will be plenty of posts for you to read through. If those japspeed bits were any good you wouldn't see so many people opting for cobras and the like. Pay the money and have peace of mind...
  14. A nice little update on this: I decided the speakers need a little more ooompf so purchased and just installed these little beauties: Also the interior plastics, being 11 years old and in original state are in need of some tlc. I ummed and urred and ended up getting a carbon dip on them in red. I tried out the dash plates first with the company (easiest to remove, not very big etc) and very happy with the results: I will probably do the door cards the same way as well. Also have put leather over the centre tunnel and put in an Elise handbrake (much chunkier!) which is in annodized black and looks miles better than the OEM one. So progressing slowly but surely
  15. I am only with the AA as its part of my bank account offer. I have used them once and they were pretty good. One Saturday morning at about 6am I set out in my diesel car to get to a specific wedding suit tailor to get measured and fitted (it was a fair distance away and my appointment was at 9am!) anyway of course in my tired state i stuck petrol in and drove about a mile down the road before the realisation hit me and I immediately pulled over. Rang the AA via my bank and a guy got to me by 8am to tow me back home. By 10am I had a fuel service guy rock up and by 11:30am had the car fully flushed and on the road again, total cost £220. I also got a classic story off the AA guy, he was in his fifties, strong Indian accent (I say this because he was a really jolly fella really trying to get my spirits up so when reading the below imagine how it sounded to me!). I was there panicking as I was clearly going to miss my tailors appointment etc etc and he just said: "For my wedding 30 years ago, I had no suit the day before my wedding and out of nowhere my best man arrived and gave one to me, it was an amazing suit I was very pleased. I got married in it, have used it for very special occasions since. Last year over dinner, he finally admitted to me that he stole it..." Hollowpoint your video is shocking and distressing mate, totally feel for you both, nothing worse than just being stuck in the middle of nowhere when previously what seemed like an easy decision about what to do turns into a nightmare and none of it was communicated.
  16. Quite simply the best childhood toy though surely is
  17. ...especially given the amount of Japanese who have died since the disaster who went in at great risk to themselves to try and sort it out. There are You Tube videos that tell you anything - you can select any theory you like and find a video that supports it.
  18. ...and whilst unemployed, I volunteered a few hours a week as a teaching assistant in a local school, I just rang them up and asked, I got paid nothing for my time. Thought I might as well if the alternative was doing nothing but watching TV. A few weeks later after helping them out for free that same school offered me a full time paid teacher training role for the coming academic year. I'm not trying to show off here, but don't really believe in luck, I believe unless you put yourself in a position to get something, you won't get it.
  19. I had this transformer for years, it was brilliant, and it was called Slag
  20. I had a little silver pot of wax in mine, is that a runner up prize?
