Megs is fine, I used it, Wasso really rated Autoglym. But yes its the quick detailer spray that you use with the clay bar in general and comes in most kits. With Megs and Autoglym you can buy off the shelf, the others you will need to order, as long as you dont mind waiting.

As above, but would recommend you use a detox shampoo to wash, as this will remove any of the temporary wax and stuff hanging around on the car.

Do you still have the stock exhaust on? Normally people replace that (or at least the Y Pipe) as its restrictive and will reduce the amount of BHP the map frees up.

With lots of mods you should get 15bhp peak, but you should see alot more than that 'under the graph line' which will make the drive so much better.

Not really: Remind me when the Golden Globes are again? Model years are increasingly turning to the US way of doing things, so a MY14 car would actually have been released in 2013. No surprises to see things going that way as a rule. Also, there's a certain amount of journalistic publicity to be had from getting their first with their COTY award, so don't forget that. Although perhaps I'm giving What Car? too much credit with regards to 'journalism' and 'knowing what the f*** they're talking about'. I get the whole MY14 thing, but the title 'Car of 2014' cannot be given out before December - what happens if it suddenly has a huge recall due to engine failures and the like halfway through.

It is unfortunate that cyclists in general are getting a bad name, the guy in the video kind of sums up most peoples stereotypes of a modern cyclist.... I get the taxation bit I think most are talking about some kind of insurance not just for other road users but for pedestrians who are using crossings and get hit... I did see a good one the other day, a cyclist ean a red light, unlucky for him a copper on a bike was the other side of the junction, doubt he got anything more than a telling off but still... Sent from the golf club... This is the problem, and why cyclists continue to flout the laws, because there is no repercussions. Usually they get 'told off' upon which they cycle off laughing and cycle through the next red light they come to. Stick some coppers at problem areas for jumping lights etc (and they know where they are), stop them the other side, confiscate the bikes, give them a free travel pass for the day to carry on the journey and charge them £60 to get their bike back.

I agree though its daft to have car of the year 2014 awarded in January - it would be like naming footballer of the 2013/2014 season in September 2013!

What they don't seem to realise is that banging on people windows or car bodywork and throwing insults is generally going to generate a reaction - sometimes a violent one. Imagine being cut up by a cyclist so at the next set of lights the driver grabs his bike and gives it a decent shoeing whilst calling the guy a load of names...what would happen? That video infuriates me, as the cyclist went looking for a fight and got one and clearly was a gutless mouthy hothead who bottled it when someone retaliated. If anything it shows the cyclist as being in just as bad a light as the driver who committed assault and is hardly supporting the cycling cause!

Do it yourself - all they will do is give the wheels a quick clean and spray it on, it doesn't require much in the way of creative talent to apply. As the others said, on You Tube and from a distance it looks ok but up close you can tell its just rubberised paint with plenty of imperfections. It will no doubt also start to fail with the impact of stones, dust, heat etc. A full refurb and spray will cost you approx £200 and give a much better quality finish.

I am bemused by the whole lycra thing, 99% of cyclists can barely get over 15mph, so why all this aerodynamic lycra nonsense. Ok if its more comfortable fair enough, but put something over the top, its not a pretty sight.

Apparently its back up online - that'll be a £38 charge I will be sending in a letter to Lloyds for 'admin' costs to me this afternoon.

Maybe chance my arm with an IOU with them!

Sure it will be fine soon enough!

Card wouldnt work from about 3pm onwards, starting to appear in the news, thats my trip to the pub ruined!

The Audi driver was a tit for pulling into the cycle area, and the cyclists to be fair was very calm with him. He tore off and the cyclist went after him looking for a confrontation, and he got it. Audi driver should be done for assault but the cyclist did go looking for it thinking he was some sort of tough guy and got found out in a big way. Mind you those cycle areas are a bloody ridiculous idea in any case, all that happens is when the lights go green you have a dozen slow moving bikes clogging up the road, why they cant queue on the left like everyone else I don't know.

Just get him to send you the dyno print out...I know I would be sending it to all and sundry if it made 350bhp

It shouldnt be double. You might get lucky with some of these price comparison sites where the stars align and you get a decent quote, but do the right thing and ring around the insurance traders on here along with A-Plan who are brilliant for quote beating on jap sports cars. The algorithms that insurance companies use are a complete joke anyway, written by a GCSE maths student from what I can see, so ring around and save yourself a lot of money.

Get him to email it to you...clearly the 16bhp I got when I had a plenum spacer, stillen intake, milltek exhaust, berks hfcs was just a complete rip off.

Good luck dude - not that I am an expert on how to make it in music, but I have seen lots of people be successful in many things, and getting wasted most of the time is not something that is common to it, in fact devotion, practice, putting the time in and perfecting more often than not is. My friend is doing alright now (she has music on itunes/amazon, has done gigs at local festivals etc) but its been all on the back of really hard work and putting the time in - a trait it sounds like the others need to inherit from you mate!
-
Unfortunately some people do not take an objective view of their cars come sale time, and believe they are priceless and perfect and undervalued even at the asking price. Amazing how much difference a good ad and photos make - can sell a car for more money and in less time!

You can hear through your eyes!!!

I found some of these on ebay some time back and someone on here bought them, they look great on a zed

Taking a slightly harder line, but I have a friend who plays guitar amongst other instruments, is a song writer and a performer. She always got public transport, amp in a bag on her back, guitar or whatever instrument she is playing that night in hand. She has done that for years because she was passionate about her music, she never complained once about doing it. If this guy really was bothered then he should get a car or get his lazy arse on a bus and put his shift in on making the band work.

Yes the bumpers look a bit 'matte' to me and an off black vs the gloss black original paintwork. It is annoying though, how many cars really are 'perfect' after 7 years and 22,000 miles? That would mean there isnt a mark on them - so if I turn up and see a single stone chip I have been lied to. The words 'mint' and 'perfect' are all too over used nowadays in adverts.
