    The R33

I need a residents parking permit where I live, I just wrote the reference number of the online application on it to ward off any unfriendly parkies. In case you were wondering, its not for sale
  3. +1 on the sticker until help arrives!

Will probably get a proper bracket above the exhaust but a £1.99 ebay sticker will do for now

    The R33

Gave it a first clean up, so a detox shampoo, polish, glaze, wax and a new sticker to cover up the stains the exhaust were causing on the bodywork... Should be good for a quick clean prior to Sunday morning Sticker!
  6. I kept seeing that when I was looking for my skyline - love the engine bay, love the car, if I ever had the money...congrats lovely lovely car!
  7. Or try RTBiscuit on here, usually has some kicking around?
  8. Nice, gives a great finish when dipped
  9. I bet if the car was cheap, pristine, low miles, FSH and local most buyers wouldnt give two hoots about the spelling on the ad and get themselves down to look at it
  10. When I looked in my air filter box after purchase I found all manner of crap in there - good advice And check the traders on here for servicing, you might get lucky with a good Nissan dealership that knows what its doing, if you don't it will be a bunch of 17 year old's poking it with a stick wondering what it is. Just like any car, check the oil levels, fluid levels, tyre pressures etc
  11. Have you got this on the green machine yet? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERED-BY-BITCHDUST-Funny-Car-Window-Laptop-JDM-VW-EURO-Vinyl-Decal-Sticker-/281053545277
  12. I would agree to a point, a guy got chastised on here for his spelling then sheepishly admitted he was dyslexic - you never know sometimes. For all we know this guy probably had all this info given to him by someone else and lacks the motoring knowledge to argue otherwise. But the pricing is way off, a semi auto wont increase the value of the car, even if its 'unusual' and an early grey import is not going to be worth that much - maybe knock a few grand off and you are in the right ballpark.
  13. Not my taste, but you never know someone out there might like it! Just a 'tad' overpriced though...
  14. Urgh! OCD kicking in! Nice bit of kit Adrian, good luck with the sale

  16. Saw this and thought of you: Rather ironic really that we are talking about cars that handle like boats on the 350z forum
  17. If you can get a forum member to look over it it does help - inspections on older cars is expensive, I had a very quick look on the RAC site I think they would ask around £300 to do it!
  18. PS, seen a few links to Boys Toys, would avoid them like the plague (used to be called Paul Browns Cars) - there was a lot of talk on the Supra forums around the problems they were causing customers and it almost got the to the point of legal proceedings. They are a paint shop by trade, so you can only imagine what they 'cover up' when the cars come in.

As you said, it isn't really noticeable - and that marginal lag is a fair trade off to get all the nice extra power especially once the EBC is fitted.
  20. Some of the older pre-R32 ones, in good nick, are going at around the £40k mark! Pretty sure they will only appreciate. You have to really check the things over for rust, strut tops, sills etc and also run your hand under the boot lip below the rear screen as leaks are common there. Like most Jap cars really. Buy an R33 and make it go 1000bhp - and don't worry, the R33 is a real Skyline despite rumours to the contrary
  21. Just make sure you have listed all mods with the insurers - most insurers are looking for cat 1 thatcham alarms and if you already have it then you are about as covered in that area as you can be. Just use plenty of common sense in addition i.e. dont park in dark corners of car parks, leave car keys on the window sill in the front of your house etc etc!
  22. Its because insurers use outdated and process poor techniques for working out the numbers, ironically it is impossible to properly determine causality, you can use basic correlations to make associations but it doesn't necessarily mean two things correlating strongly are actually driving each other, it is often a multitude of other factors.
  23. Just tried that one, it now puts me two brackets away from the other one...hmmm

    The R33

I drove both, with the R34 side and the larger front mount - admittedly there were minor differences between the two cars i.e. bov's but the front mount was definitely quicker and not creating extra lag?
