Yes brickyard red was a US only colour for early zeds, but a very nice one!
-
Yes but you have a duty of care for road users, if it was all money saving they wouldn't even turn the lights on or resurface the roads - that negligence leading to unnecessary death. Refuge areas are a blatant obvious requirement, omitted by stupid people!
-
The WD40 might only be a temporary fix, maybe some proper spray grease would help? I just regreased both runners on my VX and it made a big difference.
-
Yes know Tom, you got a lovely car there seen it a dozen times. Congrats.
-
Yes utterly appalling and people should be properly in the sh1t for such poor decision making that is life and death.
-
Well given that the change in the road style has resulted in tens of more deaths and thousands more near misses you have to consider that the idea might be at fault when the rest of the motorway which isn't smart is so much more safer. Of course, you shouldnt drive through red X's but human nature is by design not set for huge rule following, it's to be frank, completely idiotic to think so and those responsible for omitting the obvious i.e. safety refuge from the roll out should be up for criminal charges or being sent back to school to learn about what trials and tests are there for.
-
Unfortunately absolutely nothing in the world is followed perfectly by the general public, we are not creatures that are programmed that way. The near miss count is insane, up from a handful to thousands. The Issue is that the trial was not replicated and the learnings from it ignored. Utter stupidity and contemptuous.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51236375 The result of rolling out a trial without replicating the inherent key elements of the trial i.e. lack of refuge points at regular intervals. Whoever is presiding over this debacle of not only wasting lives but wasting money needs stringing up, I guess we find out today who is responsible.

Been a few times, last year went on the last day and it rained all day we left early, we were literally running from one tent to the next it wasnt enjoyable at all. Also the cars were literally driving up the hill at 30% normal speed. I went previously when it was glorious sunny and it was a brilliant day out. Worth a go at least once just so you can say you have done it! You get up close to amazing cars in the pits and the F1 cars giving it the beans up the hill is a sensational noise.

I hope you nicked em back!

Those exact words need repeating in Davos. Actually Stu, we were there that time, we know the way, fire up the BRZ we got a road trip to do!

Its definitely better than stating 'the world will end and its your fault' for sure The major fall down of most of these activists at the more 'active' end of the scale is that their impact is relatively minor. They effectively take on a parental role moaning at the children around them for behaving in a certain way - even if they are right, what do kids do when they are told off, many slope off and ignore the parent/rebel. The most effective way is adult behaviour, where you take a proper platform and speak objectively about the challenges and the consequences. All the basics of transactional analysis really. Sure this might get attention, but is it going to change behaviour?
-
Not sure whats my favourite, hard to compare really across types, you could even include games like Wipeout on PS which was ground breaking. Have to say for sheer scale Project Cars 2 is pretty good.
-
I was going to say - cost to planet of producing leaflet and distributing it = yes Chances of that leaflet causing behavioural change = low to zero I agree with people that we need to change the way we behave as a human race on the planet, but it the ineptitude and stupidity of those trying to educate the masses about it really continues to make them a laughing stock.

CATS for MOT emissions failure

How old are the cats, do you have a receipt in the history folder? Maybe they have just degraded/expired? I put them onto my old 2004 DE along with a nearly new Miltek and they passed with a bit of work i.e. giving the car a run and then when testing blipping the throttle. -
looking for somewhere to take my z in dorset

Zed Shed is Keyser an ex-owner on here who helps out owners and runs an annual BBQ (highly recommended). Nice guy, bit bonkers, but generally sound If you want other options you could do a lot worse than head up to Horsham Developments @Jez @ H-Dev Jez is hugely knowledgeable as well as running their own 350z race car in competition. You would be in very safe hands there. -
Absolutely bang on the money. The great thing is they just twist off when you need them to and you can buy 20 of them in a pack for almost nothing. And no one will ever notice
-
Just got my first 350z and loving it

Welcome along, have a look at the local meets sub forum, I believe Andy James will be your closest guy who organises local meet ups. There are a fair few owners in and around South Central area. -
Illustration by someone with no association with Nissan (in fact he runs a blog where he just makes up lots of future car designs with no actual basis on anything) - just another article saying nothing more than what other rumour mill articles have said so far from what I can see?
-
To be honest who has ever looked at a car and thought 'oooh lovely valve caps'
-
Going to buck the trend and say, they look pretty naff. Far too much metal in the rear pillars with little rear windows. They just look like they belong on another car and happen to just fit onto a zed.
-
Then yes like any alu ones they will stick. I have moved onto black plastic valve caps, they just come off no problem each time
-
Are they aluminium? Have had this with cheap ebay ones in the past they bond to the valve. Best solution is to just pop a little grease onto the valve thread before screwing the caps on.
-
Spent a day and a half with Wasso polishing my old black zed, you can get stunning results...then 30 mins later it’s filthy again!
-
If you are going to see one, let people on here know some will go along with you in exchange for some beer tokens
