  1. Everyone looked down on my Vauxhall, then again it was only 111cms high...
  2. its Red and i like the wheels When I bought my wife a Ford Focus, she was adamant that she didnt want a silver one (the most readily available and best specced for the money) - when I pointed out that she wont be able to actually see the colour of the car most of the time as she would be inside it she agreed to forego the colour issue!
  3. Good luck - and stick around, plenty of past owners on here Unless of course you have bought a GT-R in which case you can get the feck out as that would not be fair
  4. Looks like a good buy for the money, only slightly more than my insurance for the R33!
  5. I got an old 18 year old Nissan, so far have had three people take selfies in front of it and plenty of people comment about my 'Nissan' Skyline. Maybe you boys bought the wrong Nissan?
  6. Voted, very close between two of them though...

    RX8

Yes I looked into this before buying the Zed and they are pretty close - clearly though they can feel different around a track despite similar times. Not sure I would want to take a 350z on track, they are a bit, boaty

Looks stunning on the first pic, not so sure on the second

I have to admit I have had a thought once or twice how this would look on my white Skyline! Not my car but might work?
  10. Slightly off topic, kind of, but if you have an DSLR camera the lenses are uber cheap to buy and totally compatible.
  11. Nice one Steve! Those Ark exhausts are getting a bit common though
  12. Looks good on Sam McGoos car though seem to suit a silver/grey more? To be honest they don't look any more cheap than the cheap standard non LED lights you get on a Zed anyway.
  13. Been a few times, and to Malaysia, Vietnam etc etc - living in Japan and having an office in Hong Kong meant lots of free company travel! Anyway advice? 1. Don't be frightened to say no, be polite, respectful and smile and decline and walk away. Vendors, sellers, shop keepers, strip joints will all try to tempt tourists in - be polite say no, smile and move on. 2. Use the ATMs for money, much easier, draw out small amounts and store the money on you in a couple of different places so if someone does lift your wallet you have cash tucked in your sock or the like! 3. Make good use of the tourist information centres, even if you have read about something in Lonely Planet (remember the writers of those books always get great treatment and prices because they tell the tourist places who they are!) check with the tourist offices who are generally not on the take and will be very impartial. 4. Try eat with the locals don't always default to McDonalds, actually if you are not afraid to try their food, understand their ways, you will get treated much better. To be perfectly frank, the biggest bit of advice I could give is that they are wasting 5 weeks sitting in Phuket. It is the Thai version of Benidorm. They are flying all that way to sit in one resort for weeks on end whilst the likes of Krabi, Hat Railey, Koh Pang Nang, Koh Samui etc etc are all within easy reach and much better places.
  14. R34 GTR? might have to save a bit more though!
  15. Ah is that the guy off the forum mate? Worth hanging on for the right guy to do the job. Im just relieved that it all seems like we can get that white R33 build thread competition back underway!
  16. Low miles but ten grand for a 2005...seems a bit steep
  17. I bought some Belt Dressing off ebay, great stuff, just spray on the belts a couple of times a year to keep them fresh. Indy all the way for servicing, I dont think anyone would not buy your car because it hasnt been handed over to some Micra service mechanic in a Nissan garage who doesnt know what a 350z is. I would also start up a build thread on here, I find it works wonders for when it comes sale time, people will have a good read through and be encouraged seeing photos of work and progress.
  18. I have two, sort of! 1. Playing cards at my aunt and uncles house with my parents when I was about 12, it is a big old house in Essex (cue the jokes!) anyway we are all sat around the dining table, actually joking that their house is haunted, I am sat with my dad on one side and people sat on the other. Anyway, it was one of those moments where in the periphery of your vision behind my relatives sat opposite, you see something move but it isnt anything (hard to describe, imagine heat distorting your view when it comes out of an engine on a hot day that ripple effect) - anyway it moved from left to right and almost in perfect sync as it moved all three relatives opposite us jumped forwards and looked over their shoulder one after the other. Both me and my dad (car mechanic, sensible, general all round bloke who doesnt believe in nonsense like ghosts) looked at each other didnt have to say anything! Anyway, as the Jack of Clubs had just gone down we named the ghost Jack! Glad I didnt live there though...! 2. When I was born my Nan on my Dads side was quite old but I was her 'favourite' despite having about 8 grandchildren at that point. She spent as much time with me as possible when I was a baby and spent every spare penny she had on stuff for me (we lived in the 'penthouse' on the 14th floor of a block of flats on a council estate in Barking so money was tight!). Anyway I was at my parents and unusually Nan hadn't turned up to see us when I was about 26 months old I think it was. I had this toy Nan bought me which was a dog with a phone on its back (those on here over 30 might remember them!) anyway I liked the toy a lot, I was playing on the floor with it in front of my parents and two of my aunties when I picked up the phone on the toy and clear as day said 'Bye bye nanny sleep nice' - about 20 mins later our phone rang proper it was my grandad to tell us Nan had just passed away in hospital due to a sudden heart attack. I can imagine the story has been enhanced over the years but all my family know about it! Do I believe in ghosts, I dont think so, but hey wouldnt life be boring if everything was explained and nothing was unknown
  19. ...given all the newbie baiting and female car owner stalking going on thought I would try and distract you all with some info-graphics - some did make me chuckle http://www.demilked.com/truth-facts-funny-graphs-wumo/
  20. I think it was about a beard with a red line on it and whats the maximum length you should grow one? Mods: make this a sticky?
